Regular 15 has warmer tone while the 15 Pro has cooler tone. Both still have those yellow tint.

This is a quite interesting comparison since the regular model has a brighter aperture than the Pro, maybe that's why they look "the same" for the main camera? I believe this is the first time that the regular models are actually good enough for most people. Especially after we learned that the new "titanium" frame e design made the Pro models easier to break the back glass.
Is there anyone else that can elaborate more on the brighter aperture on the regular model? Any effect in the photos?
@@DansJonas the regular one has ƒ/1,6 while Pro has ƒ/1,78 but also has slightly bigger sensor (2.44 vs 2). I didn't know about it when i was comparing both phones in store, but something felt strangely slightly off on the 15 Pro and i liked the photos coming from regular 15 more. The photos were slightly more pleasant, a little bit softer, however i wasn't zooming in and checking every pixel. Once i checked the specs i realised that the brighter aperture might have been one of the reasons, another one could be some strange issues with focusing on 15 Pro (especially while taking video in cinematic mode) but that might be solved by some future software update/s. Definitely need to test it couple more times but for now - i like the regular 15 more than 15 Pro.

1:28 the regular 15 has considerably closer min focusing distance on main lens. The Pro shot is out of focus, while the 15 is fine. Please consider adding a couple more of close-up shots to your comparison routine!
Me and my wife have the 15 pro and the base model. We’ve been having this problem. The Pro is constantly out of focus while the base model is fine. I don’t understand if it’s software or if my phone came with some defect.
@@Silvestre95 i don’t know if I use the correct words; but: the „focus distance“ of the 15 pro main camera is at ~ 70-90cm (it’s wider than every phone camera I’ve ever seen, and pretty annoying!). So if you are to close to the subject it’s not focusing correctly. You gotta need more distance to the subject
@@Silvestre95 That's the flip side of sensors getting larger in size. Gotta learn the min shooting distance. Or get a regular iphone. I myself am considering switching from the 13pro to a regular one because from a regular user's viewpoint, not needing any geek features, the non-pro would give a better experience overall, even taking into account the lack of 120Hz screen. It's just easier to live with, and the design is aesthetically perfect, they done a great job with this one. So great that Apple had to limit its USB speeds and its screen refresh rate in order not to hinder the sales of titanium.
@@user123bx that might explain somethings but I still don’t understand how I can’t in anyway take a clear photo of an A4 book, for example, without blurring the corners of the pages and therefore parts of the text. Even in my iPhone 13 was just so easy to snap a photo and every part of the text was crystal clear. Your explanation seems like the most logical to me, but at the same time, it can’t be that hard to get a good photo on a thousand plus euros device. That’s why I think there’s something wrong with my iPhone 15 Pro. Thank you for your help!
@@Silvestre95 mate, I know what you mean. I currently have the 11 pro, and a few months ago, I ordered the 14 pro- and I had exactly the problems you describe right here. I was so annoyed, that I returned the 14 pro 😅🙈 What really irritates me with such problems of a camera: no one, literally no one had mentioned it in their review videos (!?). I literally saw just one single video, that showed the super long focusing distance.

In the beginning you say there’s not much difference but I’m seeing this with my eyeballs and there’s a big ass difference between the two lmao. I’m noticing less “sharpening” on the pro. Which is exactly what I hated about the previous 5 years of iPhones. So I’m really liking that it looks reduced on the 15 pros this years.

15 pro main looks cleaner and sharper to me. selfie has no improvement at all, i have the 13 and 15 pro. to me 13 looks slightly cleaner. 😢

How many people know what really pro means and take advantage of the features? Not many. Apple gets earns more using psychology and dividing tiers.
Why is the iPhone 15 shots a little jagged? More compression of the jpg? Anybody else notice?
Those shots were zoomed in quite a bit. The 15 looked more jagged because it uses digital zoom beyond 2x. And when digitally zooming, the camera has way less pixels to work with. So that's why it looked jagged at times when zooming.

Hi, I am coming from the 11 pro and I must say, I absolutely hate the selfie camera and it surprises me that’s it of all the reviews I’ve watched, no one has spoken on this. I guess apparently the thing I dislike has been around for a couple generations, but I’d love to get some info/opinions on this. I guess it’s the Deep Fusion/ hdr that I’m disliking. But it makes all my front pictures so cold, overly sharpened and washed out. I compared a warm light I have in my room, with my 11 pro and 15th and it looks yellow from the 11 pro which is the undertone of it in real life, but with the 15 pro it looks like a bright white blue fluorescent light. Am I the only one that dislikes it so much? Or is no one talking about this just because it’s been like that for a while now?
Did you try turning the smart HDR option off in settings? cause I felt the same way and I turned it off couple days ago and it's been slightly better. Less overly sharpened pics.

I have the 11pm and tested my friends 14 pro max selfie cam. I share the same thoughts with you. As someone with brown skin, i look so pale and washed out on the 14. None of the warmth that my skin usually has.

Depends on what kind of pics/videos you like taking. For example, I love going to concerts where zooming is detrimental so for me, yes, absolutely but like I said, it might not be a huge deal for you in your daily use.

It is important. Nobody says this for some reason, but I personally see it as a main instrument. But not for "zooming on concerts" and etc. x3 is a perfect tool for portraits, it has real bokeh (not a digital one) and allows you to get the proper face shape out of the box. In photography, we use 50-85 mm lenses for portraits and it definitely is for a reason. Tbh, i'd prefer to remove this 13mm ultra-wide, after 2-3 big trees and several mountains you will never use it. It breaks object's shape.

I was pro max iPhone user since iPhone 6 Plus. And this year I decided to downgrade intentionally. So I opted for non pro 15 base model. And I must admit the camera quality is an utter and complete garbage to the point I no longer even fancy making photos. I was anticipating that non-pro camera will be inferior to pro (my last pro was 13 pro max) but I am surprised how much of a trash regular iPhone camera is.. Bottom line if you feel like you're a photographer even slightly - go for pro. If you're like me - tired of making endless social media content that only eat your time and make 0 sense - than 15 should be a perfect productivity gadget. But be prepared fotos will be so shit you wouldn't even want to take them
