Woodturning - The Sycamore and Stick Vase

Started this one a couple of months back now, wasnt completely sure when I started it which way I was going to go. Sticks in the end was the answer.
Made from Sycamore, sticks are of an unknown origin but carefully selected by a Labrador.
Finished in a few coats Danish Oil and the Polished using a Beeswax Polish.

  • Absolutely gorgeous! 🤎 The patience for applying those wood pieces was impressive. Love how you recycled used coffee grounds mixed in the glue for natural coloring. ☕👍

    • You could still smell Coffee until I put the Danish Oil on, not sure once that smell wears off it will start to smell of coffee again.

  • Gorgeous vase! What a craftsman! Easier way to put coffee/glue in cracks. Go to kitchen wares in local Wally World. Look for empty refillable soft plastic bottle with removal top. Cut tip off, put glue/coffee into bottle & squeeze mixture into holes.
