  • Can you imagine traveling the world in this, I’d feel like it’s making me a target for how outrageously expensive it must be….. one hell of a rig ✊

  • The thing with a lot of these vehicles is that they are way out of the budget of most people… They are for a select few, and for that reason extremely unrealistic. You do not need a vehicle like this to travel around the world… We bought an old Mercedes van, converted it into a campervan and we’ve travelled all around the world in it. So, there will probably be thousands of people watching this video thinking we could never do this… Don’t believe the lie. Live your dream. You don’t need to be a millionaire to travel the world!

    • @@prefono I never said it would be a waste. The United States has a vast amount of land to explore. And what do you mean by "American" way of thinking? You know nothing about me.

    • @@not_sure... I don't know you and mine is not a criticism of anyone in particular. It is just an observation: this type of vehicle is aimed at great travelers, people who want to immerse themselves in cultures other than their own without following the itineraries of tourists. The only ones who use them to stay in their country are some Americans. Nobody else would. I don't know why you think it's a personal attack ... It's not personal and it's not an attack either.

      @prefono@prefono Жыл бұрын
    • @@prefono it's a US based company, of course they're the only ones buying this. It's an overlanding rig, it's not specifically for going to other countries. My point in my original comment is that other countries are getting too dangerous to be driving around like they did back in the day. In order to get to south America, you'll have to pass through Mexico and only an idiot would do that with something like this. So if someone had the money to buy this, it is not a waste to use in the US and Canada and of course it would be Americans because this is where they're being sold. Your comment literally makes no sense and is just argumentative for no reason.

  • I'm patiently waiting for a time when i can afford something like this and go shopping. Lots of cool options in the market at various price points. I'm a big fan of Earthcruisers and wished it comes in a 6x6. I love a cab over design, 4x4/6x6/8x8 but mileage, noise level, durability, capability must all be factored in. My little bit of research and talking to guys with rigs this large is that the larger the truck, the noisier it is to drive. Some of the military chassis rigs require headphones inside the cabin just to talk to your spouse/passenger!

I thought their rig at that time was awesome but chatting with her I heard a bit more back story. First, the unit didn’t have an A/C so it was miserable. Second, she had to hide while on the barge as there were 25-men/truckers and she was the only female. So, 10-days in their rig with no A/C. Their rig at the Expo was awesome but as others have said, out of the price range of most average folks. However, they are still very impressive.

I had just come off of Trailridge road in Estes Park and Rocky mountain NP in my 2007 Ram 3500 4x4 dually and saw a 1.5 million $ Earthroamer parked at the gas station convenience story in Estes Park. Guy just walked out of store with 1 gallon water bottle. I asked him what he was doing and he said brakes had overheated on Trailridge road. I asked him why a truck that expensive didn't have an exhaust brake. He said it did have an exhaust brake but still overheated the brakes. My 42,000.00 ram truck and 26,000.00 Lance 850 had no problem. My exhaust brake allowed me to hardly ever touch my brake peddle. Moral to the story is just because you have that kind of money doesn't necessarily mean you are cool because you can buy a rig that has problems doing pretty easy roads. Lol

  • When the SHTF, these vehicles will be the first ones taken at gunpoint. Best to have a nice big property where this thing can be camouflaged.
