This looks astonishing. I love the little detail that, while everyone else seems a bit apathetic about the film, Allie and the director both get teary eyed when looking at the film they are making. With completely different roles they really seem to share the same passion and child like wonder about filmaking.

This shouldn't be celebrated! I have no issues with the animation and the animator, it's wonderful to watch. However, this is an accurate description of the Hollywood process and it is terrible. I literally both love and hate this animation when I watch it; the animation is solid, and the story is satisfying with the main character stepping up to a challenge, but the demanding and little-rewarding work of making a movie for most who are employed is a problem. Edit: main point, I don't believe this should be something that people should aspire to. In the end, the industry uses everyone. It's a tireless and mostly thankless job, no matter what your job is.
The guitar!!! The color palette!!! The style!! The voice acting!!! This film is so magical, congrats GOBELINS 2021!!

Damn, probably the most fun I've had with a Gobelins short. Great style, animation, and writing. Strikes a nice balance between being relatably stressful and exciting at the same time. Also, you guys got worthikids to do some music???

Hey it's the same VA who voiced Mei from Overwatch! Recognized her immediately. Wonderful short, the style was explosive and the story heartwarming!

The pupil details made this so beautiful and emotional! The scene with Allie in the air and the helmet coming off was so amazing. I love it so so much! The chara design!! Très beau :)

That's film production in a nutshell. There are dozens of Allies that enable the film to reach the heights that they do, but its usually the director or celeb that gets that spotlight. I like how it doesn't really focus on that in a negative way though, it actually ends with Allie being satisfied with her contribution to the project, because in all, that's really what it's all about.
She appreciated in the end. She’s on stage with the director when he accepts the award. He doesn’t have to have stage hands there so this is definetly something.

the rest of the film: emotional, incredibly expressive, fluidly animated, beautifully designed and rendered, the music was incredible, the acting was great. seeing allie awkwardly standing on stage with the core group of the production as they give an academy award winner's speech? who put this ENTIRE tree in my eye. what an incredible film.

I love how her animation is so distinct, it comes through perfectly even when she's wearing the frog suit.

ok that was brilliant. Style, asethic, the sound design. It felt and looked alive. They were going for the busy madness of a film set and they succeeded.

this is like a prequel of Sundown, another beautiful Gobelins animation! this was so beautiful, the vibe and pacing just hits you right then went hard at the ending with the allie/director parallel against that beautiful golden lighting. the music at end is just the cherry on top. kudos to the graduating students! edit: the picture at the end!
I thought exactly that too!! When I realised they were on a time limit looking for a person I was a little worried it would be the same story as sundown but it had a lovely twist!

My god this is so nice. I love this character "Allie" doing her best during a film's production. I could imagine a series where she has to try and not screw up everyone else's performances while not realizing it was her the entire time.
This is just so wholesome its almost overwhelming!!!! Especially as someone that relates to the way the director and assistant feel about making art! It really made me so so so happy, I hope y'all know that you're changing people's lives for the better

I was so excited about this, and I wasn't dissapointed! Beautiful colour palette and awesome subtle yet funny character acting. The ending, when Allie takes the frog role, looks wonderful. Great job, Gobelins. Congrats to the team. Can't wait for the next shortfilms.
I have just started film school but this really hit me in such a way. I have only been involved in two short films for assignments and I already know how important teamwork is. I had to step in too for someone who decided to be late on the day. I know it's nothing in comparison but ya this is the energy of filmmaking.
I could go on watching this amazing animation for hours. It's gets you hooked, you feel overwhelmed by the chaos, you feel like you're in the animation and not watching the screen and you empathize with Ally and enjoy at the same time her zest, courage in getting the job done. I like how it just focuses on the story, the energy, chaos and resolution at the end. Awesome. My favorite out of all I have watched this year. My only disappointment is it wasn't longer. I wanted more.
Everything on this is amazing, the animation smoothness, the art style, the colour choose, the audio, the character desing, the Plot etc. Everything is amazing!
You can see and feel the love that was poured into the making of this film and it's just amazing to see how gorgeous the whole thing looks thanks to the great job that the whole team did

You can really see the passion of those involved shine through those small gestures and movements that make the characters feel real and expressive. Its projects like these that make me love animation!

There have been many great shorts made by Gobelins students. But this one, it's definitely at the very top of the list. Brilliant work!

One thing that I also observed idk if this was intended just my interpretation, at last when that person goes "Where is Alley? I dunno. You never see her when you need her" and there was Alley literally saving the last shot and making the dream come true. It made me realise that sometimes people can't really see how much you're putting in, that you'll be misunderstood at times or perhaps misjudged but quite realistically that doesn't mean anything.You did what you did and it counts even if people don't see it. No matter how tiniest of the task is given to you or how small your job if you put ever ounce of what you got and really weave it with passion and compassion then things turn out beautiful! ❤
What animation should be all about! Mixed influences and styles, absolute great timing and animation, and also... pretty fun. Great job everyone!

Amazing! So exiting! I was wrapped in the story, holding my breath while Allie was trying to get to Jeremy, rooting for her as she ran to the set! Such a sympathetic character! So beautiful the color palette! Great animation!

THIS WAS AMAZING!!!!! Edit: Man I keep rewatching this months after it came out and still I get teary eyed at the end where the frog waves in the sunset. What a beautiful moment and the music is just superb

Golden hour is the perfect name for this film, a peak moment at the break of dawn, a fabulous movie at the onset of so many more to come. I am impressed, I am excited!
It's incredible!! The characters feel all so alive! And the colours capture so well the energy of those hour of the day! Really enjoyed, the film the crew was shooting reminds me a little of Claudio Acciari's illustrations, wonder if they were influencial in any way in the making of this short!
Delightful animation, wonderful use of colour and style and a heart-warming story!! The detail in the background and the sheer number of characters and figures to design in this film is a feat in itself! Amazing work and congratulations to all involved, this short was incredible!! 👏💖😍
that felt so cinematic! especially towards the end!! beautiful short film!!! also love the character designs. i haven’t seen what the behind the scenes of a film may look like so it definitely was an interesting thing to see. love how cartoony the animation felt too, so much action in it it’s perfect 😭, also, the time being set at sunset golden hour is a magnificent choice, so good, loved that 😭😭😍

This is exactly what I've come to anticipate from GOBELINS. Excellent animations, great soundtracks, compelling plots. I really enjoyed this one, looking forward to the others.

Usually, these are okay, like a fun thing to watch when you have 10mins to waste. This was brilliant, from animation/art style, to voice over and storyline being quaint but made surprisingly capturing. Brilliantly done guys.
Ive wtatched animated shorts for years, and this one is by far one of the best ones for me personally, it feels so right in many levels, definitely a top 5 for me

Spending the last few years in film made this special to me。
As an ammeter filmmaker, that made my day. There's plenty of films about filmmaking, but not that many animated ones, as the production is obviously a completely different discipline, but you can tell that they did their research. Obviously this is sort of a fantastical version of the filmmaking process, but it communicates a very real sensation that's felt on even amateur film sets. I'm truly blown away by this.
