Man, this is so easy to do and it really works the first time I tried it against a resisting opponent. But now my 75 year old mother won't talk to me anymore. But hey, it works!👍
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.

LOL
Loooool😇😂😂
:D :D hahahaha
might be the first time it was ever used like that, but it works somehow lol
for me, as a former wrestler, this is the perfect video that explained some of my mistakes. Thank you! Greetings from Prague, Czech Republic
I love you country, Michal. People from Czech Republic are very polite
Prague is an awesome city.
Galvao english improve so much 💪💪💪
It's phenomenal!
R R doing my best every single day! Thank you ✊🏽🙏🏽
I think he said he's a purple in English but he's def a brown
@@juntjoonunya9216 Trying to get that black belt as well haha!
@@Galvaocastthat was a good use of the air quotes too. LOL
This is pure gold, many wrestling coaches are not aware of counters such as kimura trap, guillotines etc. just like Prof. Andre said.
Krytycznie Poważny that’s why I made this instructional for you. So you learn great takedowns with the bjj mindset...it’s different when you learn wrestling, coaches most of the time teaches it with the wrestling mindset! #GameChange
Holy shit, did Andre Galvao just take the time to answer us small timers here? Now that’s class. Thank you for taking the time to pass this onto us, sir! Awesome!
Both are funnily enough apart of wrestling still but considered last resort techniques
So you must have never seen Dave and Mark Schutlz wrestle. This is basic 101 wrestling .
I've come from Judo, so I have always tried to do my single/double legs takedowns without getting on my knees, it just makes sense to me, seing a world class competitor like Galvao thinking the same it's great. Gold content.
Thanks Sr. D 👍🏽
It's also better for your hips too!
knee/shins touching the ground should only be used as a secondary/backup technique when you cannot go any higher, since you are almost always better off on your feet.
that instruction tackled the problems I faced when attempting single leg entry. Thank you, professor!
My pleasure!
This is my go-to takedown. It works on everyone 😁
Absolutely brilliant in its simplicity. His mastery of this technique is demonstrated in the transitory details: settling his weight to the rear foot; “punching” the hand out and connecting with a frame to the shoulder; using that forward momentum with the stiff arm to seep the leg and pressure with the chest and bicep; always careful for his head placement throughout the takedown. Mastery is in the details.
The posture up detail is what I needed to hear today. Failed several single leg attempts last night 🤦♂️😅
1:12 shoulder push single leg 6:50 honey hole 8:15 side smash, knee slice, toreando, half guard 9:40 kimura trap
U legend
lol, I thought it was "honey hold"
@@gcorc that’s hilarious
Similar to the Ankle Pick the first goal is to push his weight of the leg that you are going to grab.
King
5:43 I think that's the best takedown in MMA because it's not only simple but also very quick.
Andre's English is very good
I LOVE training this. I dream about it some times
Simple yet so technically sound. Ive always felt awkward going for the single leg, but I can already see myself applying this in a practical al manner. Thank you for this, Professor. Osu!
Andre keeps wanting to teach even while Bernardo is plugging his video. That’s a good teacher.
I noticed that as well: Galvao wants everyone to learn.
"I've been doing this lately .... since 2013 " I thought lately would be like 2 years max ago, We're in 2020 !
I'm sure he's been a black belt for a long time
Andre is the man. I really hope he grows a neck one day though.
No neck no space for a choke
He was bred to be the perfect wrestler. No neck, no choke.
Brilliant!
Amazing!
As always, great video. Thanks
Such a great teacher!
Thank you!
absolutely incredible stuff
Love the little details. 👍
Gran master at work.
This is a great video. I hope to see more of Galvao. Thanks!
Such a good explanation of the single leg. Thank you both!
It’s a “Huge Honor” for Galvao! Osu !
Great video
Show de vídeo 💪
So much excellent content on this channel. God job, Bernardo.
Thank You Both!!
Thank you 🙏
Frickin brilliant details. Thank you!
2 of the best, thx for sharing!
Very nice. I learned a variation of this at my school. The biggest difference is that we put our head against the opponent's upper chest (against the heart) as we grab the leg. We do this to prevent an attempt to punch or elbow us. We also do a similar takedown to what you showed, but in our version we push with our head against the chest while pulling the leg to score the takedown. This leaves our head out of reach of the opponent the entire time. I'd be curious to try both versions back to back and see which one works better for most scenarios.
You guys are great! thank you for sharing.
Andre is a beast. Great tutorial
Thank you sir
Great video!
Andre is an amazing teacher
Thanks professor Galvao & Branard!!
Your videos are so helpful. Thank you for sharing
One of the simplest and most efficient single leg takedown I have seen. Very well explained as well. Thank you!
Thanks much brothers.

Muito obrigado Professor Galvao ! seu conselho sao preciosos !
André Galvão é o cara !!!!
Bloody great video guys. Great English Andre! I would love to train with both of you one day.
Very nice !!!
Bom vídeo... Entendendo a fala corporal...
Wow 🤩 huge honor thank you Guys!! Amazing
Galvao is the best. He is skilled and cares. And he works hard.
Até que enfim um single que eu não preciso ajoelhar. Útil na rua em defesa pessoal 😄
I just learnt this in my first class. Super fun
gold.
Nice job guys👍
Sweet Baby Jesus!! This is amazing!
BEST!
Nice and simple. God damn Andre is quick.
Nice!!
Awsome.
Andrea pushes Bernard. Bernard goes into another dimension. Bernard pushes Andrea: totally unphased Both of them would fold me though lol
I've noticed Galvao and his students do their takedowns without their knees touching the ground, never really thought about it, it makes sense. Cool details
Osvaldo Rod 🤙🏽
Awesome
Awesome single leg instructional.. is this a teaser for a full length take down instructional from Prof Galvao on BJJ Fanatics? I sure hope so, because I'm sold.
Realllly good details - some game changers for me, actually! I've been trying to "wrestle" more by emulating top wrestlers and I found the leg switch he calls out, where you lift their leg high on the outside of the body, to getting me in more trouble than my "older" way where I'd pinch the leg and run the pipe.
His "push" explaination was interesting!
Andre is build like a tank!
Many many issues solved in one single video!!! Amazing details from one of the best of his generation. The sharing of techniques and knowledge you're always doing in this channel are leading BJJ to the next level, Bernardo. Always watching, always learning. OSSSSS
Exellente
Awsome! Really nice details 👊
Tull Tøys thanks 🤙🏽
Great move. I’m always finding myself making the mistake with my head to low and heading to guillotine city!
Going back to the shoulder push part for a moment. There is a drill in Systema for teaching how to shrug off grabs and pushes to the shoulders and upper arms. It's part mental training for contact, but it helps to avoid such takedowns by preventing the expected reaction, and even giving you a moment of commitment in which to respond.
Got guillotined many times trying to do single legs in training this weekend. I’ll have to see how this works for me.
Best content of BJJ on KZhead
great
Thank you for sharing this ! I get guillotined sometimes when I shoot singles.
Cody Morrissey this is just a little tip. There are more details if you watch the entire instructional.
Andre no neck galvao is a beast
Galvao on that good açaí
No jokes allowed, I guess... It was funny though.
@Boban Milisavljevic It's a joke not a dick, don't take it so hard.
The entrance is very similar to kuchiki taoshi in judo. We use the lapel side to push out, then catch while standing.
I find this "no gi" Jiu Jitsu stuff fascinating. I have been a Kung Fu/Pencak-Silat guy all my life but confess to having no decent ground game. This stuff looks very interesting indeed!
Ruiseart Alcorn I started out as pure striker also. my first time stepping on a mat with grapplers and getting handeled you quickly realize you need to know both worlds to fully defend yourself. It was a fun and humbling experience.
@@hussydahustla Many thanks for the advice. Most appreciated :)
Awesome! I train at one of Professors Galvao affiliates here in Dallas 360 bjj, the professor is a world-class champion and instruction is the best overall.
Jay Hooks thanks Jay! I appreciate that. On my no gi takedowns instructional you will learn so many details, concepts and my single leg system. Where you can take your opponent down easy and doing it effortlessly!
Great video gentlemen. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. Bernardo, you mentioned the pressure Andre applies to the thigh (you said leg) right before finishing the takedown. I am a medical student and I once gave a presentation to my class and anatomy professors about a condition called foot drop, which occurs when there is nerve aggravation right below the knee on the outside of the leg resulting in an inability to dorsiflex or elevate your toes. I even had a nice video of a friend of mine in an MMA where he gets kicked on the outside of the shin right beneath the knee and loses the ability to use his foot for the remainder of the fight (no worries, it was a quick finish and he won with a guillotine in the first round anyway). I called the shin the lower leg and my professors corrected me in front of the entire class and told me that technically the leg is below the knee and the thigh above the knee. Therefore, when I said lower leg they thought I was talking about the area near the ankle. You called the thigh the leg, which to normal people is perfect (anatomists are not normal - they are special. Hehe). I will remember what Andre taught because I will think of putting pressure on the thigh, not the shin. Thanks again for all your great videos. I definitely encourage my team (Sphygmus BJJ) to review your videos because they are concise, clear, and thorough. Thanks so much!
Cool
Duas feras Brasileiras. Ídolos Brasileiros. Faltou o vídeo ser em português. Parabéns 🙏
Obrigado! Em breve teremos vídeos em português
Very good video . I hope you ll do a lot more videos on takedowns and throws for bjj
I just made an entire instructional only about single leg attacks. You will love it!!! 👍🏽
@@Galvaocast It is not there yet. I want to buy it now :)
littlebighumancom it’s coming up very very soon 👍🏽
Very cool Load with the shoulder as technique!
apekillssnake this is a key detail to prevent your opponent from setting up the chin strap, head lock and guillotines.
@@Galvaocast Yes, I understood that from your instruction, and you can stamp it down like a coin press or belt punch to prevent the honey hole move. Thanks for positing such good content!
quite impressive to see the adaptation gaval made from wrestling
I open a Bernardo video...I click like. Then I watch.
