    @SpikedPinapple@SpikedPinapple5 ай бұрын
    • My brotheren, that's the point of flooding it, they probably don't want to kill people like that it will look bad, they want to flush them out. That's why they're giving them heads up.

      @fearandloathingmedia2051@fearandloathingmedia20515 ай бұрын
    • And you're acting like they didn't pretend to warn people with messages while having virtually no radio, no power, and no time to go anywhere while still bombing the places they were at (even though that does NOT excuse them bombing a sovereign region anyway). INCLUDING UN SHELTERS. Y'all crazy if you think Israel is trying to do anything steadily, safely, or justifiably.

    • It can never be accepted because of the method of killing. If one person ever dies from a flooded tunnel it would be by drowning. Drowning is not an accepted form of warfare. Flooding tunnels is a war crime against humanity it must be prohibited.

      @edgewood99@edgewood995 ай бұрын
    • @@edgewood99 I would argue smoke is just as escapable, since smoke would fill the upper half of the tunnels and leak out the air vents. It would help more in identifying additional escape hatches and exit/entrances over water which would flow to the lowest points and fill the tunnels possibly putting pressure on doors which would prevent escape and could drown possible tied up hostages. Also water could be electrified with any electrical equipment in the tunnels possibly zapping hostages and hamas soldiers.

  • Sea water has excellent properties : - it goes everywhere and always starts to fill the lowest points - it permanently destroys electrical circuits - it is incompressible so that exploding a charge in a flooded tunnel destroys and breaks any closings , gates, bulkheads that could still stay not inundated - it is impossible to remove unless you pump it back to sea however the pumps and pipes can be easily detected and destroyed Using water is definitely the best way to permanently put out of service all tunnels under Gaza.

    • @@Red-Check-MarkDon’t conflate Gaza and the West Bank and the “plight” of Palestinians. Gaza has been unoccupied since 2005 and one can clearly see from this video how Hamas has managed to get around any limitations imposed by Egypt as Israel. It takes a lot of smuggling to build this vast network to benefit not the Palestinians of Gaza but solely Hamas and its goal of extermination of Israel and its Jewish residents. When the Israeli settlers were forced out by the Israeli army, they left behind greenhouses and farms…and the first thing Hamas did was destroy them. These farms and a thriving fishery could have been developed further but Hamas would rather divert $s and resources to these tunnels and not public infrastructure that would benefit the Palestinians. Hamas does care about Gazans just about its own objectives. Palestinians who did not flee in 1948 at the request of the invading Arab state armies have lived decent lives in Israel with the right to vote and participate in society. Go watch the video again and get the facts not the myths.

The tunnels were about 6 cm in diameter but my single hose was only 2 cm. In Gaza, dye needs to be added to the seawater to identify underwater and ground vents and entrances controlled with one-way valves. This will allow the IDF to seal all of these vents and entrances.

My over simplistic idea was to pump coloured smoke down there which would make the many hidden vents on the surface very visible for destruction and mapping etc. Without the vents, no tunnel will be much good for long. edit - also if these 'vents' are only sucking in air my little plan would fall flat.

    • Did you not pay attention to the part of the video that explained the tunnels will take a while to flood, giving Hamas the chance to escape and relocate the hostages?

      @executor9550@executor95505 ай бұрын
    • @@executor9550 I am sure that the hostages will be foremost in their minds as they flee the torrents of water flooding into those dark tunnels. The diagrams shown in the video detailed the hostage levels to be at the very bottom as well. This means the hostage levels will be the first areas to be flooded. So unless they are taking the care to move the hostages before their own people and supplies, it is unlikely they will survive this.

    • The tunnels aren’t one connected complex They are divided to several complexes and some unconnected tunnels Israel intelligence most likely know by now where they can and can’t flood

    • @@socket_error1000 Seeing as how extremely long and slow it would take for the tunnels to flood while still needing the hostages as a way to buy them time and keep their organization alive, then yes. If it weren't for the hostages, Israel would have already stormed them. It's really simple to understand based on the content of this video.

  • I got to say flooding the tunnel to seawater is a great idea also letting the Palestine people somehow know without actually letting the Hamas people know is obviously the best bet but if there are deaths it's just the casualties of War they happen. If people choose to stay in those tunnels and bunkers then that's their own fault

  • All that material and engineering used by Hamas to make those tunnels - it sure shows how much they care about the Gaza Strip that they run and the Palestinian people. All that material and engineering could have been used in far more productive ways for the benefit of the people of Gaza. But hey - what do I know?
