These are the same analysts who every year say "this is his chance to add to his case" before saying, "the comparison is over" when he loses (only to once again revive the GOAT conversation the next season). But the truth is, most people who think LeBron is the GOAT have him there because of longevity and most people who don't think he's the GOAT also don't think there's anything he can do to get there at this point. Btw, Jordan's Wizards team was awful whereas this Lakers team is stacked even without LeBron. If Wizards Jordan got to play alongside a top 5 player like AD and the rest of the talented Lakers roster, he would definitely have been expected to at least make playoffs, which LeBron has barely been able to do the past few seasons (missed it in 2022) and only because of the play in (which didn't exist in Jordan's time). Wizards Jordan, before he hurt his knee, was actually still a very good player and a better defender than LeBron has been in years.

Team needs to rely on offense. Like it or not, that’s their strength NOT defense. Play defense INTELLIGENTLY. Example would be playing Hayes + AD and allowing AD to roam defensively instead exerting too much energy taking away from his offense. This team turned it around once the offense got going.
