    • ***** Nice bait! It has a great melody, the beat is solid, it's R&B influenced, the chorus fuses into the verses so it's less prominent but the "take care to..." part stands out. The lyrics are great as usual, the "i know, i need, to feel, release" hook is euphoric It's all a matter of taste, listen to it more and if you don't like it *at least* stop trying to make it out to be some big "intellectual" debate when it's something completely fucking _objective_ like music. You are *not* smart or *interesting* at _all_ for liking a set group of certain things. It is about what you do in life, not what you think is good or bad, at least when it comes to something as ultimately _trivial_ as music.

    • +Alex Reidy I'm also a Chvrches Fan who's seen them live, and I absolutely love this song because of its melody, its beats and its emotions. And now? Sexy? Which Chvrches song is sexy? I thought you have seen them live? I don't have the impression that Lauren Mayberry tries to use Sex in anything I've seen, read or heard from her.

  • For someone who is against the objectification of women in music and has been quoted to say 'I will not accept online misogyny'. This video seems to be playing directly into that.

    @ProfessorBooty69@ProfessorBooty698 жыл бұрын
    • Foolish Knight in what way? she's hardly showing off her body or anything, and even if she were, how would she be accepting online misogyny? is her mere appearance as an attractive female accepting online misogyny?

      @michaelpuro@michaelpuro8 жыл бұрын
    • Michael Puro This video is focused on her. Im sure they didn't choose to make this video like this probably the label playing it off that she is an attractive female in music. But if you read the comments on this video its almost like they were baiting this response. The other two guys are barely in this video. That doesn't have anything going on other than Lauren in a short skirt and a make up quite moist dancing about. I dont have a problem with it btw I think its cool I was just pointing out a bit of a contradiction with the bands stance.

      @ProfessorBooty69@ProfessorBooty698 жыл бұрын
    • +Foolish Knight No

      @SpencerBoechler@SpencerBoechler8 жыл бұрын
    • Foolish Knight although you were reasonably polite, this still made me angry. you saying this, is exactly what Lauren shouldn't have to accept. so what if she is in a dress? did you want her doing this in jeans and a shirt? would that make you feel better? she should be able to wear a dress, wear make up and feel/look confident without people giving the objectifying response. that's not her fault. just because she's a feminist and wont accept misogyny, it doesn't mean she has to walk around covering all her skin because that's EXACTLY what she's fighting against. women shouldn't have to do that, women shouldn't have to be asking for it because of their clothing or appearance. if Iain and Martin were in this video, and shirtless, would you be moaning? i doubt it. yes she is attractive but yes she should be able to do whatever she wants within her career without (mostly) males telling her its wrong. you're just looking for an excuse to defend sexism. I've had enough of people expecting so much from her. she is not contradicting, she is clearly growing in confidence and that's beautiful. she's 27 years old, stop treating her like a child.

      @beeb6049@beeb60498 жыл бұрын
    • bee b Like I have said im fine with the outfit and its an alright video. But there are more members in the band and the video should of been about something other than her dancing about looking hot. Even if she looked the same as she did in this video and was in a video with more substance that wasn't literally just about her being fit then I probably would not have even commented.

  • It's pleasing how Lauren looks as delicate as her voice and the musical arrangement sounds, and the soft colors look. The haze in the video makes it seem surreal, as if she were in her internal place of safety and comfort, close to completely healing her emotional wounds. She looks vulnerable in a beautiful way. Coming to peace with herself, accepting things for what they were and preparing to finally close the chapter of a broken romance. That's what I visualize due to her tranquility during the storm that seems to cease as she softly dances in the water... and that guy behind the fog, it shows how distant he is from her, since she is leaving him behind. Barely visible within her.

  • If you're thinking of sending this song to that person who hurt you so badly, so hard that they deserve these lyrics, stop, don't do it, because below the surface, that person doesn't deserve anything from you, less something as powerful as this. Save that energy for someone who really knows how to love.

    • Well said, Cory Phillips. I'm way past millennial age and I'm baffled as to the music tastes of your gen. All that shit without a beat and pretty boys emoting so hard it sounds like they're straining with constipation. And whatever happened to guitars, drums, bands even, and people without ghetto names? I do my best to understand. I think Chvrches are great but they sure don't enjoy the success of the absolute garbage acts of today.

In Ohio all the old people say their “a” sound as twangy as possible like instead of “cat” it’s “kyeeat”, whereas Lauren would say something along the lines of “caht” and “cot” So soothing for someone who grew up around all the twang, her accent is lovely. Chvrches wouldn’t be the same without her accent
