  • I love cooking programmes. I love programmes about other cultures and their extraordinary food. This was fascinating and I learned so much, mostly about my own squeamishness. Where I come from, food should be quite dead & quickly dispatched before you cook it. Obviously this is not the norm in other cultures. It can be hard to watch. When we catch fish, we kill them at once or release them. We believe it means the fish taste better better. Stressed animals taste worse. I can’t wait to visit Vietnam one day and eat my way from one end to the other, meeting the gorgeous people. I have still a lot to learn!😊

Lobster is no stranger to my palate; BUT those giant fleas are alien looking. Actually, we catch thumb sized SAND FLEAS on the beach, and use them for bait when we go fishing. I like the way the fleas were steamed then the meat extracted and turned into fried rice. Looks GOOD 👍. I've only watched 16 minutes so far. Thanks for this excellent presentation. Again, Thank you!
