Jonathan and Cameraman Todd team up with cave explorer Christine Loew to explore Nahoch Nah Chich Cave ("Giant Bird Cage") in Mexico. This system is part of a larger cave system stretching 215 miles underwater, making it the longest submerged cave in the world.
Christine Loew is an amazing cave/cavern diving guide! We highly recommend her! If you are planning a cave/cavern diving trip to Mexico, drop her a line!

Last time I saw this video I was in awe. Now I'm cave certified and have dived this very cave and can honestly say Jonathan is not exaggerating. It's truly gorgeous. We spent two and a half hours exploring various lines.
Congrats on your cave certification!
@@BlueWorldTV Thanks. It's been a dream come true.
Are you able to dive a direct access exit area with just a dive cert?
@@beyaown1846 why would you do that? Get a cave license. It’s extremely dangerous.
@@beyaown1846 Do not dive any overhead environment without the proper training and equipment
After watching all those cave accident videos, I am now in a deep relaxed state of mind and so happy for you guys
Hahah same I just binged a ton of the cave diving accident vids
Weird how such a beautiful activity is also unbelievably dangerous
"Our goal is to leave nothing but bubbles and the pristine cave behind" 💛👏🏽 Thanks for sharing this beautiful experience with us. Especially the waterfall flowstone was amazing, or the formation at 8:55min. With the flashlight, it really looks like one of the deep-sea creatures we filmed for one of our latest productions.
Love youre vedios
Wassap
Bro ughhhhh
Really like how you incorporated cave diving rules into this piece. Not only can one enjoy the beauty but you are also learning something
Camera quality underwater is solid. What a clear picture.
I'm terrified of water and will NEVER cave dive, but this is truly amazing and beautiful.
I’ve been waiting so long that I forgot this channel existed but now I’m very happy :)
Me too.
Same here
Count me in.
Same here
you forgot this channel existed after 4 weeks of them not posting a video? Goes to show how much of a fan you were lol
Hey Jonathan! My parents and I have been watching this channel for maybe 6 to 7 years and we still love them! AlsO thanks for making quarantine better for a lot of people
That's awesome! Thanks for being big fans and stay safe!
Jonathan, stay safe, too, and don't get the COVID-19, because we want to watch JONATHAN BIRD'S BLUE WORLD!
I bet you're the first bird in there who didn't drown.
Can you rate monster rancher 1-10?

I recently went on my first dive while on a trip to mexico. We only went 50 ft deep and were under water for a little less than an hour but that was all it took for me to fall deeply in love with the peace that the underwater world has to offer. I’m now motivated to get certified and one day will hopefully be blessed to experience cave diving as well.
That's awesome! I'm glad to hear it. Have fun with the certification class, it's a good time. And take your time going into cave diving.
I remember watching this guy’s videos when I was younger. It’s great to see him still making great videos!
Im always terrified of cave diving but not this one! Definitely adding this to my bucket list! ❤️ Thank you for the beautiful content and for always reminding divers to be responsible and leave dive sites as untouched as possible.
Thank you, Jonathan --for being the eyes of those who wish to dive but couldn't. May God bless you and keep you safe always.
Thanks Jonathan and the Blue World team for showing such and amazing sights! Truly nature wonders of the world!
I must have replayed this video like 15 times already! Probably the most beautiful cave and so beautifully shot as well. Lovely!!🙏
Hi Jonathan! It's been a while. Happy to see my favorite diving team reach over 800,000 viewers. You guys deserve so much more. Thank you for posting another awesome video and letting us live vicariously through you! Love you guys! 😁👍
Thanks!!!
Man if I ever get to meet a celebrity it would be you, thank you so much for existing
I'm pretty far from a celebrity, but thanks for the kind words. :-)
The cave was splendid. So beautiful.
Follow blue world for more than 5 years, still my favorite diving show ever! I love Johnathan host the most! No one can ever replace him!
Aw thanks!!!
Amazing!! Crystal clear view, love the buoyancy with the side mounts! Can’t wait to eventually do cave diving like this!
That's crazy! When I went to Mexico, just about a year before this was released, I went to Dos Ojos and swam on the surface section of both. It was amazing to swim, and one of the reasons I want to get my SCUBA license. Insane to think that you were swimming in the same system as I was.
Quite right: "a treasure of the blue world " ... Absolutely gorgeous Will you explore more of it? I wish you do (if the rest has different features)
Beautiful thank lots blue word teams 💘 showing up wonderful experience underwater
Cave diving is so cool in itself but you guys manage to find all these little surprises in different formations and life forms, it's really nice.
Nohoch is a very beautiful cave. Dreaming of getting back there.
Really good to see you continue to do what you do best, despite this awful disease and it's effects. Stay happy n healthy Jonathan and family..!
Thanks!
This video damn near put me to sleep. The music, Jonathan’s voice, the calm, peaceful, beautiful exploration….breathtaking. Wonderful video. I recently subbed to Dive Talk and now this channel was in my recommended. New subscriber 😊Thank you!
Thanks for a beautiful video. As an old cave diver (started 1971) I’m jealous but very appreciative of you enabling me to see this unique environment again. Brings back great memories.
There are old cave divers and bold cave divers, but no old, bold cave divers. Here's to being old and not bold!
I have bad claustrophobia and after seeing videos of cave diving gone wrong, this was a breath of fresh air. I don’t think I’d be able to ever do this but I loved watching this video and learned quite a bit. I found this video very relaxing and a nice change of pace and helped me with my fear. Thank you for sharing.❤️
Same even tho I'll never do it,I loved watching it
A treasure of the ‘blue world’ indeed - thank you for filming this !
Brings back many memories, dived this system a number of times, thanks for sharing.
Jonathan bird, I was terrified to get scuba certified because of my slight claustrophobia but you have convinced me to do it, thank you.
I can never get old of that intro and narrator
Excellence video and visuals. I like how the narrator also focuses on safety (thank you!!!) as I’ve seen too many horror videos on KZhead about people doing the wrong things for scuba diving. Safety is always #1 and then have fun of course.
That was phenomenal! Another wonderful underworld John.
I think you were the first youtuber i watched gives me nostalgia but still love your content
I love how you provide the facts with intuitive evidence during min 6:23 ... Now we know that whenever we see underwater icicles, it means those caves were above water at one point. I never thought of that
This is the most beautiful cave diving video I have ever seen. Thank you so much for posting this!
Mind blowing what a beautiful underwater cave !!!
The person who found the connection between Nohoch Nachich to one of the other systems was my brothers best friends dad, it was increadible when I heard what had happened, it is super big! I hope to be able to dive this paradise too someday.
I feel i am dreaming while watching the video because nobody can't see those amazing views besides in dreams.
Beautiful! Amazing shots, and excellent technique. Love it!
Whenever I want to see a beautiful world, I see it through your eyes... you guys are amazing.. and blessed..to see all these things and are able to record for us. I'm highly grateful of your efforts in your videos..
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you sooo much blue world crew for making these wonderful informative videos I love them so much! I can’t get certified yet though. Thank you for making diving more popular.
Thanks for watching and for your kind comments!
Thank you sooo much
Wow! What a beautiful cave. The water is so clear and the room at (11:01) is huge. Amazing.
Looks amazing and stunning. Love the cave bells. Love diving the Cenotes
Thanks for taking us on your Journeys! I still get sad thinking of Sully the pilot whale. Miss your usual "I'm Jonathan Bird and welcome to my world" opener!
LoL when he said,” We go on a nice smooth dirt road.” Sarcasm and the man almost ninjas his head in the window*
I love that there are friendly videos about cave diving, so many of them are horror stories. The only thing I can say, is the whole line thing is very confusing still... but I guess when you are down there doing it, it's not as bad?
Once you spend 10 days working with lines, spools and cookies it'll be second nature. Last time I saw this video I had no idea. Now I'm cave certified and have dived this very cave and finally understand all I see them doing.
Another amazing video! I love caves and cannot wait to get back to the Yucatan to dive. Thanks for making such a cool video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
yay!!! a new episode! this one is stunning. thank you, without your videos we would never see these sights
Glad you enjoy it!
I am scuba certified for deep water and nitrox and would love to get into cave diving it is absolutely beautiful caves that haven’t been touched in years
This is incredibly beautiful! Too bad humans can't breathe underwater though (without help, that is).
It's good we can't. Can you imagine the damage we would do if we could? The ocean is already filled with our garbage. It would be 20 times worse if we could live under water.
@@kandykane2160 I was going to say the same! Besides, I take anxiety meds so this is as close as I get to cave diving lol it's beautiful though
@@armygirl85fuckhitler74 I am incredibly claustrophobic so same for me.
@@armygirl85fuckhitler74 same here 😊
@@kandykane2160 If we could breathe underwater, the more people wouldn't pollute the sea. We wouldn't wanna be breathing dirty water
I love Jonathan and I Admire his knowledge of everything in the blue world. I wanna do what you do
Amazing video. Thank you for making this and allowing us to enjoy this as well from the safety of our homes.
Jonathan! Every time there’s a new video, I’m always exited what you bring up and teach us (especially me) And I’ve been watching your channel for about 5 years now! YOU were the person to spark that feeling of loving the ocean, (and you helped me beat my thalassophobia) and to start a new dream of Scuba Diving! Been watching you since I was 8! Hope to Scuba with you one day in Baja California Sur! Once again, keep up the Great work Jonathan! Take care!
Wow, that's awesome! Thank you for watching and for your inspiration!!
Thanks JB... 👍
Thanks for watching!
This is awesome! Johnathon and blue world is such an influence for me. I love diving and exploring. This video is awesome🔥❤🏊♂️🏊♂️
As a fellow scuba instructor in Seattle I’ve ALWAYS wanted to get into cave diving! Jonathan Blue you’ve always been such an inspiration! I’d die to dive with discovery channel and do all the amazing dives you do!!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I can make a recommendation on a cave diving instructor!
Mind-blowing views, beauty must be measured by it. Just wondering if the amount of Carbon Dioxide released by divers forming Carbonic acid is not harmful for the constituent elements of the formations.
I have never heard that. I don't think there is enough of it.
Good morning guys
@@BlueWorldTV I'm from India
I would love to do this dive, maybe travel here and do a cave specialty.
The yucatan is a great place to do your cave training. The water is warm, the caves are shallow and there is very little current.
This is amazing! I cannot wait until I get cave diving certified. This one is definitely on the list!
This is incredible to see. Thank you!!
I dreamt of being a marine Biologist and i still do i love seeing half of the world AKA. The water well you know
Slowly swimming through with those lights beams, I couldn't help but think you all looked like space ships.
Diving can sometimes feel like flying.
The underwater rivers in the Yucatan Peninsula have very low currents and also perfect visibility (that is if you don't create silt) so it actually feels like you're in the middle of space watching incredible structures that look alien-like
You rock Jonathan! Keep churning out those videos
Absolutely stunning this is. Wish I can be there someday 🥰
When I see a scene like this, I feel like I want to linger in it !!! Amazing 🙃
This was an amazing video, absolutely beautiful footage.
Always look forward to new episodes. Keep up the great work Bird crew!
Thanks, will do!
I am speechless....Totally speechless I am actually having tears in my eyes. This is just HEAVENLY beautiful. And the way you narrate, with all the necessary information, magnifies the beauty tens of times.
Thanks!!
Jonathan, Can you go to The Mammoth cave in Kentuky? I was wondering " What will be in The Mammoth cave in Kentuky." and " I want to see another tressure of the Blue world." OK, Jonathan?
Loved this so much ! I live near Live Oak Florida and enjoy the cave systems and beautiful springs we have here but I am longing to visit the Yucatan and dive these cenotes so badly! Also ,thanks for sharing the message of leaving nothing but bubbles 💙
Thanks for your great job filming and sharing with the public. This place is really amazing and beautiful, may be the underground heaven 🙏🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️🙏
My only criticism is, I wish your videos were longer 😁. Your videos are always so entertaining and educational. You honestly could mash anything on discovery Channel. Keep up the amazing work and look forward to the next one.
the new Minecraft update looks so beautiful
Wow a very beautifull creation...The Old Path.
Watching this in the highest resolution is just pure bliss! ☺️
This guy has money and spending into something his curious... What a great choice ...
If you wanted to explore the entire system in a single dive you would need a unlimited O2 cylinder......!!!
That's amazing and unbelievably beautiful cave. Thanks for sharing with us.
Glad you enjoyed it
Always look forward to the new blue world episode each month. Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Why is there no visible life here?
because theres no circulation in caves
Is any one from 2050

really nice video quality and production. every time I watch this channel makes me want to go diving again.
an awesome exploration - thanks for showing me something I will never ever get to see - Fantastic dive!
This type of cave diving is awesome, diving with tight restrictions is nuts!
Ive watched this more than 10x already and I'm still in awe everytime
Simply breathtaking!! Also, excellent filming and editing work from you lot at BlueWorld TV! Thanks for the stunning video, mates.
Thank you very much!
I dived this cave in 2015. It's absolutely stunning. Excellent vid. Thx!
