  • Looking forward to seeing what impact training with Dereck James has on Joshua's performance. Give him props for looking to improve his skills and learn and grow from different camps and look forward to a good fight. Wish both men the best. Franklin can bang and has no fear, A.J. got a real fight on his hands with a guy who throws all caution to the wind and fights with reckless abandon. Should be a great test .

    • Franklin ain’t really a big banger he didn’t even put a dent in dillian as dillian was walking through most of his shots yes Franklin is a good fighter has decent hand speed but he don’t like taking to many shots that’s wen he fold abit dillian boxed to a game plan put together from his new trainer had he fought the dillian we no imo he’d of beat Franklin look at round 12,wen dillian got a little pissed of and banged Franklin he fell into the ropes had there been another 10 seconds it could of been real different,AJ is faster & stronger than dillian bangs much harder fast combinations and it’s then imo Franklin will fall to bits

And he had the wrong game plan for Ruiz 1, as demonstrated by an easy victory with the right plan in Ruiz 2. In AJ's early fights, yes the knockouts were often spectacular. But you could easily see the vulnerabilities earlier, especially against left hooks - Whyte, Klitschko and Povetkin.

  • Derrick James is an exceptional trainer. Before Joshua, between Spence, Charlo and Frank Marshall, there’s only one loss between them and it was a loss that was up for debate but the rematch ended in a knockout. The 3 losses Joshua have were before he got to Derrick James. That says a lot about his work ethic 💯

    @DaboooogA@DaboooogA Жыл бұрын
    • Finally, it took hims so to just accept boxing as a profession without needing to "love" it, as you state. It will probably make him more liked and respected by the common man and woman, as most have jobs they dont like, much less love, similarly. But the problem with AJ was not that he loved the sport; its that he loved pleasing his "fans" and assuming his obligations as a British champion and ambassador to the sport. That can be a lot of burden for some. That is why men like D. Wilder and L. Fury don't reach for greatness willingly. But I think the biggest problem really is he cared about the "fans" opinions, and we know fans are fickle and chase what's new, whether good or bad . 🖖

He even found some moments with Usyk that almost turned the tide during his rematch. Hell, GO TRAIN WITH THE PEOPLE WHO BEAT YOU! Make amends with your demons, your losses. Even champions have massive challenges they have to overcome way after they secure belts and victories. Stop acting like you're not THE Anthony Joshua. Breathe man. You're a wealthy boxer with bigger challenges. Go back in there and learn who you are again- a beast in the ring, and a proper champion. Enjoy your journey man, we will never forget your incredible career. Don't lose sight of that.

  • I had a UK DAZN subscription since launch but end that about 2 months ago, because more of than not there were not meaningful events on the DAZN schedule, thought I would re-subscribe if that changed but now there prices have changed, it was also other things like, compared to BT Sport boxing which more often has lesser known fighters on, BT sport still manage to build that big fight atmosphere, specially around there PPV events, better commentary and all round feel. I like DAZN and wanted it to be everything they originally sold fishy fans on but so far that had not been my experience. Hopefully that will change, specially if they really to not only take the time to listen to what fans want but can then deliver that change! AJ spoke well in this presser hoping that translates to a really good performance!
