my favourite part about this game is how it feels like they tried to have like ship-baity (crush-baity? idk the word for this) scenes with between the player & lukas/petra -- presumably lukas/jesse being for the girl players & petra/jesse for the boy players -- and inadvertedly made some scenes feel very gay as a result

Minecraft story mode isn’t bad nor good, it has a special nostalgic place in my heart, clearly the devs put a lot of love into this, wish I could go back to that year that it released and play it.

Minecraft story mode has an effect on people where they end up making a full letsplay of the entire series despite them despising the game. It's either that or their fanbases enjoy seeing them suffer. Looking at you, RtGame Daniel and Technoblade.

Idk if anyone has commented this but Ellegaard’s voice actor is Grey DeLisle. She is Daphne in Scooby Doo sense the early 2000s, Azula from Avatar The Last Airbender, Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and so much more stuff
I knew she sounded familiar.
And Petra is Ashley Johnson who voices Terra from Teen Titans, Gwen Tennyson from Ben 10, Tulip from Infinity Train and Ellie from The Last Of Us. Both Grey and Ashley are legendary so don’t leave her out of it. Please

Fun story: when it first came out, I got it for my ps3, after seeing the wither storm on the box cover I returned it of fear. I now own both season 1 and 2 and question why I was scared

i have so many random comments so i’ll put them all into one: i love the fact that during the part where you look for the repeater, you have the option to launch a girl with an insane fear of hights into the sky to never be seen again even tho axel sucks, going with him is definitely more fun imo because you get to have a tnt battle out of all the wrongs in this game, the soundtrack is definitely not one of them i promise the game gets at least a little better as it goes on (which isn’t saying very much but y’know), would love to see the whole game completed

Yknow this is gonna sound crazy but I made fun of this game SOOO much when it first came out. I thought the animation was ridiculous so I never played it. Fast forward to last year. I played it on Netflix as a joke cuz my boyfriend and I were bored. Ended up buying both seasons. Loved both games. I didn't hesitate though to point out the absolute no sense in Minecraft logic in certain parts though. Pretty cringe, but I do love the games now. It really was a "don't judge a book by it's cover" moment.

Chapter 2 is shorter because it has 2 completely different versions: the Magnus route and the Ellegaard route (and honestly the Magnus one was much better)

It just feels weird looking at how bad this game actually is. Nostalgia and being a kid really does give things a glorified look. Still though, this game still holds a special place in my heart looking back.

I have literally never seen anyone choose to go with Axel and get Magnus. EVER.
Kinda sad considering I had way more fun beating up Magnus then building a command block.

I feel like Story Mode would have been better if it had a more dungeon crawl feel. It could still be story based, but require actual gameplay and dedication. The characters definitely could be fixed up, and having actual different endings depending on the choices would be awesome. Story Mode will always have a place in my heart, I just wish they had done it better.

I have both seasons, and my favorite glitch is when everyone is in the Nether, after Ivor peaced out for like, an entire episode. The minecarts would go sideways once you flipped the switch. Even when the camera "pointed at" Jesse

Honestly, this game is awful and could've used A LOT of things but I play it often because it reminds me of when I first played it, The nostalgia is unreal.
When I was younger, Axel was my favorite cause I thought he was funny. Cause I sucked as a kid. Axel slander is great. Everyone knows Lucas is the best cause he fueled my gay awakening.

I feel a lot of nostalgia from this game… I remember playing it when it first was out on the ps3 and being so excited for when episode 2 came out lol this game wasn’t the best, but i have a lot of good memories from it.

Dude minecraft storymode was fun esspecialy the first one in the later half it was fun it was engaging and I always found it funny how in the second game when radar says bye have a great time while you go see petra he has an evil face and sounds smugly evil but yes this game does have some iffyness but it makes up for it by really recreating a real life minecraft feel there would be societys greifers

I do feel like you are asking for a bit much when their entier template for builds WAS minecraft and half their team didn't really work with animations because its minecraft and the chachters egos are inflated because they want to act like they killed the ender dragon and the chachters designs are very limiting because its supposed to be minecraft and every chachter is cubes how many other movies or shows have super flowery storys that can be predicted a mile away you would never predict that the monster would infect your friend or how ivor was part of the order

Minecraft story mode sure is something else. For one it was a Tell tale game and was Written quite badly. But a lot of attention went in to creating it. Hell they even used the Far Lands as a location. And Far lands was a world generating glitch in the old Minecraft versions that happened if you went 12,550,821 blocks away from your initial world spawn point.
I played the mobile game of mcsm in 2015 the year of its release. I had a great time. Really sad the apple store removed it 😢 😞
