I want to thank everyone who has left a comment. I do my best to read them all, and I really appreciate all of you! Max says thank you as well 🐻
My Dad taught me everything I know about cars, house repairs/building, and "everything else you'll need to know so you don't need a man to do it for you". Dads that teach their kids how to do things for themselves are the greatest gift to our independence, and I can only offer my deepest condolences to you and your family's loss. I've been watching this series since your first video came across my feed, and I can't wait to see the house when it's finished.
So, the "supervisor's" name is Max? As a mason, I say you did fine. Foundation wall redo pours ALWAYS suck. You learned a couple things along the way. 1. Can't have too much bracing. 2. figure you have to under pin later. Other than that-all good. Pay no mind to keyboard contractors. Your doing way more with the cabin than I would have. I'da fixed it with a match. Losing dad sux. Give yourself time. Mine went home in '07. Still miss him, but I know i'll see him again. You may find yourself forgetting he's gone and starting to dial him up before remembering. That's normal too. It just means his son loves him very much. And yes, dad knows that even now. Your skill and perseverance are inspiring and a testimony to how he raised you. Be blessed. Jesus Rules!
Thank you for the comment man Max is his name and he is in charge of all this
@@99ProjectsMax does pretty good considering he doesnt have opposible thumbs
"Keyboard contractors" lol
Heres how you should have poured the concrete. 1st dig around the foundation.... And who cares bro You are doing this project yourself if you fuck up a little bit who cares as long as the house doesn't fall and you pass code You're doing a fantastic job I can't wait to see the finished product
Why the four letter word..
Yep
A real inspiration. Very motivating and reassuring.
Maybe you could've pulled some siding off and poured concrete in from above. Did it in 3 locations. Then cut in 3 access holes for the concrete vibrating tool.
@@dorisadkins2464 you obviously don't spend much time around working class guys... or in the northeast.
I'm highly invested in this project. It has no relationship to what I do. Im a house wife in a small US town, but I do have a rotti as well. Loving every step of this renovation!!
I’m with you, I’m a 72 year old retired old florist. I’m loving this. Tool are everything.
Same, SAHM in a small town. Love seeing things restored!
I lost my father also. So sorry about the passing of your best friend. RIP John 3;16 🙏
Thank you
💙💙💙💙💙 May your fathers memories serve as comfort to you. 💙💙💙💙💙
I’m sorry for your loss. My daddy died 31 years ago & I think about all the things he taught me, mostly by observation, as he was a quiet man. I injured my back a week ago (assisting animal control rescue 2 pups that has been dumped in our neighborhood), & was ordered to take it easy. So, I went down the KZhead rabbit hole & discovered your renovation. Now I’m invested! Gotta see how it turns out! I did learn a new thing -there are gas powered mini-excavators with pull starts! Even my husband, who just retired from over 50 years as a dirt guy didn’t know they existed (he started when he was 16 & still in HS)!
Please give Max a hug for Zakkary, he said someday when we have a yard with a fence he wants a dog like Max because he's such a good dog. You're such an inspiration to Zakkary and I really appreciate that. We hope you're doing well and can't wait for more of the little cabin videos. But in the mean time, we're watching the others as well. ( Just a reminder that we are your friends in Nebraska that emailed you a couple of times.) Thanks for all your hard work and we're looking forward to when you are getting closer to and closer to the end. We know it's A LOT of work, so we are being patient. Lots of hugs and prayers sent your way.
Thank you for the comment, your hoodies are on their way
@@99Projects awe, well thank you so much! Also, never worry about the concrete Kyle's or anyone else like that. It's your cabin, you do it the way you feel the most comfortable with. You do fantastic and hard work.
Concrete Kyle here, you did a good job. And I like the way you finished with a little polygonal masonry!
KYLE APPROVED!
The wheels on the water tank make me laugh. I like the way the field stone fill in looks, kinda like it was planned.
So do I, looks cool
Max is so smart and well-behaved, he is a credit to you! How could anyone not love him!!
Absolutely loving this series! Great mahi to bring this old dame back to life. All the best from New Zealand!
I think it’s great you honored your father as the foundation of your knowledge. It’s a damn shame that more men aren’t teaching their sons these types of things.
I agree. I hope these videos inspire someone to go out and learn something
Cheers to and great admiration for your Dad who raised this boy to a fine man. I am a great grandmother so I know these things - Peace and Blessings to all who enter here 💚☘️💚☘️💚☘️💚☘️💚☘️💚☘️💚
Thank you
Bag in some Non shrinking grout to fill the final little gap. Love this series, thanks for the content.
I learnt along time ago , grieving is good, what's even better is you celebrate all the fabulous time you had when Dad was here and all that he accomplished.. 😊
I started watching your videos because I enjoy watching renovation. My uncle could renovate or build anything. These videos remind me of my childhood. Max is sweet. 😊
Can I just say I love Max?
I will tell him you said hi
Max is a very good dog!
The amount of craziness in this series is so entertaining!
I really like the blackness of old cedar shingles. The weathering tells the story. My family built a shingle style house, my dad, my grandfather, my uncle. I loved how the shingles looked. Everyone had been dipped into linseed oil. I came home after a patrol, I was in the Navy, and my mom had painted it blue.
Navy Blue?

He gets His channel up in subscribers and they are already hitting him up with paid sponsors lol, Good job dude, You made it on KZhead!!

Your Dad taught you well. I’m really enjoying your projects. Keep it up! So sorry for your loss.
😂😂😂 I LOVED the AG1 "commercial"!! "Theses lushious locks!"
That’s right Max. Combos are the best snackies. 👏👏👏 concrete ✅ Condolences 😔 I’ll send this 80° sunny weather your way.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I too have lost my father. Hugs.
And I’ve watched all seven videos with interest… Hard work!
I love your music, I love your dog, and I love Combos! Keep up the great work! 😉
The supervisor, Max, does such a great job!!! Please tell him I said hi haha I love his contribution to your projects
I will tell him you said hi
Lost my dad 7.5 years ago. It is very hard to loose a loved one. Love folloving your project with the cabin. So great you see the value in it and not, like so many would, take it down. Har work but you will be rewarded. You preserve a piece of history. Max is such a lovely dog 😍. Looking forward to future episodes! Love ❤️ from a swedish follower.
Sorry about your dad. Max says thank you and Hi
Good job bud, the only helpful advice i would have to give is you could if you wanted to seal up the joints and gaps between the rocks and all is use a mortar masonry grout bag i found that very helpful on a few of my projects! Have a great day bud!!
I'll give you a thumbs up just for the Ode to Dad.
The wheels on the portable water tank - EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!
Your Dad raised a good son....! Enjoy your thoughts of him..
I love Mr. Water Tank, limping along, ready to give your project his life.
A job well done sir ! 😎👍
I think Max should get a raise for his supervisory superiority!! Nice job, guys. Saving yourself a lot of Ching, learning, and having fun. Lost my Pappy 13 years ago, he was 82, gets better with time bro. Memories last forever!!
Lost my mom 10 years ago. Have so much guilt I never saw her enough still 10 years later. Miss her terribly.
A few minutes ago I thought to myself hmmmm I hope there is a new Video and booooom there ya go 😍 Thank you so much! And I love Max with all my heart 😭❤️ Take care 🫶🏼
Max says hi
New subscriber. I think it’s looking good. My dog Coty loves watching Max. Seems you had a fantastic dad. I lost mine 10 years ago to cancer. I think of him and my mom a lot. I know they are watching over me and my family. Keep up the great work.
So sorry for your loss, I lost my father in November. Shoes that will never be filled.
99 what would of been really interesting is a timelapse of the hole being filled with concrete you would keep the viewers attention more 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Looks like some metaphysical forces intervened to get you to use period correct methods to finish the new foundation wall. Cool to see the hybrid of old and new with the concrete blending into mortared fieldstone on the edges. Given the moss on them, that pile of stones is probably the remnants of an old fieldstone wall that divided farmland and was built well before your cabin was. Get your metal detecting buddy out there. You might find some cool relics by the wall like buttons, shoe buckles, coins and oxen shoes.
I'm sorry to hear that you lost your father. 💙
Cant wait to see smoke coming out of the chimney💨
Much Love to you and your family.Your dad raised a respectable man! We’re proud of you💪
Thank you
I look for your progress every week! 🎉 You are are so smart!! Don't Stop, plz!! You're a KZhead Star now , Worldwide!!😊😊😊
You are the best
Aww I think Buddy wants his bed ! Loving the series 😊
Stumbled upon your cabin series a couple weeks ago, and became obsessed. Thank you so much for the long-form videos, and I adore your dedication to fixing up what you have and innovative ideas of making things work. I will also add that I have no knowledge of all the things you’ve been able to renovate, but I think you’re doing one heck of a job. Keep it up! Love what you’re doing! ❤❤❤ P.S: please give Max some extra pats for me for being the best-ever foreman!!! ❤️
Consider max petted lol
Great job on your foundation! Too bad about your salvaged water tank. Im sure it lived a long fruitful life. I love max, he's such a good boy! Great video! No one got injured, and the mimi bike came back to life! Blessings from New Hampshire 👏
Thank you for watching i appreciate it
Another great video, you are doing something that most men only dream of doing. Rebuilding a house in the woods to live in with your own hand learning as you go. Our fathers definitely shape our life , to make us a better person . The videos are long but greatly appreciated , keep the long videos not a fan of shorts.
Only he's removing the woods. 👎
Turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Really nice job guys! Thanks for the video.
My condolences to you and your family on your father's passing. The house is looking good, and the foundation has turned out great. The fieldstone looks very authentic. Keep it up
I came across the first installment of this series by accident & this is the happiest accident. Love the tools, the puppers & seeing all the hard work you are doing. It is amazing. I am currently renovating my house, it was built in 1925 & watching this series helps to motivate me to keep on chuggin along. Can't wait to see the next installment. "Concrete Kyle's" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m glad you enjoyed it, keep working away on your project, you’ll get it done
Man. So many whiny people in these comments. At the end of the day, it’s not any worse than the way they did it back when that first got built. So it’s ok. Just some thoughts for next time, as a guy who is currently studying construction inspection in college. It may be expensive, but shotcrete would get that wall flush to the base and would only need one form. They use it to line tunnels and overpasses for structural support. Overall, looks pretty good. Those field stone foundations are always so gorgeous. Any structural concerns could easily be addressed with a couple jack posts behind the foundation wall. I’m so sorry for your loss, the good ones always go too soon. I think he’d be really proud to see all you’re doing. Max is a very good boy :)
I always enjoy the doggo parts!
It looks more rustic with the field stone - like it.
Great dedication video , one for the books for your memory
I am obsessed with this cabin 😍 more episodes please 🙏
Good morning 99 Projects! Love the shot out to your dad ❤ May he R I P Your doing a phenomenal job on your cabin! Love watching you do it as well. See you next time! Hello Max 🐕
Max is adorable! 🐕
My sincere condolences to you on the loss of your father. Who is remembered still lives.
Thank you
I have been binging these cabin videos. What an awesome project. I hope your neighbors watch these videos and see the dilapidated house in the woods turn into a beauty.
What works is fine, as long as it holds it good,Nice job Bro.
Amazing work! Not many would restore it, I am so thrilled you doing this!
Nothing I was just messing around, but I can’t wait to your updated video on the house but yeah you guys did a good job. I like it.
Another cabin video. Awesome sauce!
Nevermind what the haters are gonna say; your cabin is turning out damn good. Keep up the great work and looking forward to the next installment of this project!
Helluva good job fellas! If Max could, he'd be mixing that mud for you! And as for riding a bike through the water....... well, kids and their toys! great series to watch, can't wait for the next one!
I lost my mom on 8/23 at age 90. May he rest in peace. Now as for you, I give you 50 gold stars for Determination, Energy, patience and all around positive man. No more Gold stars as it would appear too personal. A fan in Minneapolis.
I appreciate that
Great video, we (my husband and I) couldn't take our eyes off the work you do. Condollences to the loss of your dad. Lost mine when I was 10 years old. It isn't easy.
I'm so very sorry your dad has passed. He will never really leave you. I really enjoy your channel. Always look forward to seeing what is next for the cabin, and Max is icing on the cake.
Who cates what others think or say, youre having fun, thats the main thing. Love the vids keep em coming
Short of burning the joint down I’d say you did a fabulous job. Looks like Max the Supervisor approved and passed off his inspection so you are good to go.👍🏻😉
Your dog knows the word treat! 😋 He’s very cute!
Buddy is sooo cute!
Mr Toad’s wild water tank ride! Hilarious
As one of three daughters, my Dad taught me so much. It didn't matter that we weren't sons. I use his life lessons constantly. I don't think I'll ever lose my love of tools. Thanks Daddy!
Another great video , good job.Im happy it won't collapse now.Foundations complete. Its a sturdy cabin home now.
You gotta do what you gotta do to make it work with what you have
Not gonna lie, I kinda like the mix of stones/concrete. Reusing what you had available was a cool design choice.
I've been watching your videos for a couple months. I think I finally figured you out, you know how to do everything. Jack of all trades. I really enjoy the content keep the videos coming.
Blessing to all on your fathers passing. I lost Mom in 2014 and Dad in 2917. Its rough man.
Dad in 2017 that should read.
Thank you, sorry for your loss
It’s looking good I may have done differently but I think you should be proud of what you’ve done. Being the current caretaker of the cabin it will now live on. 😊
IDK...You seemed to balance both sides aesthetically. It's visually interesting. I like it.
I think it looks cool
Just found your channel today and powerwatched all the episodes on the cabin build! Love what you are doing. Great content!! Max is such a good boy!! Looking forward to your next update!
21:23...Telling the dog "Go check it out...what do you think?". Dog proceeds to walk in the complete opposite direction because it clearly has no idea what you're talking about (don't blame the dog). Your response at 21:31..."Good dog." 🤣🤣
I'm from a land down under, as far as your concreting go's I liked your little dance when you stepped backwards and realized thats where the other pallet is...right behind me. Cheers.
Thanks!
Thank you
So sorry for your loss 💔
Your dog is a good supervisor. ❤
I am so sorry about your loss. Lots of love and hugs from Australia xx
Every couple of feet would be normal bracing spacing….but when you questioned the bracing before starting the pour I knew it would be entertaining! So no harm no foul! LOL!
I'll be honest, I like that you ended up having to use the fieldstone. Pays homage to the original construction of the cabin
I think the field stone as an after thought was almost meant to be. It kept the look of the age of the home. Some times things that start off as mistakes turn into beautiful meant to be things. Sorry about the loss of your father, keep up these fun videos bro.
Yeah - would have, could have, should have with the forms and pour. It's a learning experience. But end of the day - it's 1000% better than what was there before and will last far longer than the original foundation. Looks like you're somewhere in Northern NY?
What a great job yet again. I am truly impressed with you and your friends' skills and persistence.
Concrete Kyle 😂 that looks really good mate should be proud
Why are there not more “likes” on this video? Great job guys!
