This is a top drawer video which must have taken a substantial time to prepare. I have been a City fan for 60 years. I spend a lot of time every week keeping up with what is going on. Sadly, I feel that you are preaching to the wilfully deaf. A few will be receptive and will take in the facts. But I guarantee most won't and , as you say, will believe black is white. The hatred is not just fan rivalry. It is simply because of success - a lot. Rival fans cannot question what happens on the pitch and so they are forced to shout about the matters you have highlighted.The PL are no better and will find what they want to find in relation to the charges. They will try to crucify their prize asset.

They have no Idea of what the 115 charges are, never been to a game in a stadium, and get all their football news from Facebook Insta and Tweeter (X) and dared to say all of that. My family supported City since early 80s and my dad loves to say they are just salty. Other fans will be salty since we are winning quite a lot for a small team XD

For the record, I’m not a Man City fan. But modern football discourse, and the attempt of people to completely rewrite the history of football, is one of the most depressing features of the modern game. When City were not so successful, they were still regarded a ‘sleeping giant’ or ‘underachiever’. Even before 2008, at worst they were regarded one of the top ten clubs in English football, by metrics of trophies, support, and top flight longevity. Spurs also get the same stick as City. Forgetting that only Man Utd and Liverpool, won more silverware in the entire second half of the 20th century. And even without recent trophies, have earnt their ‘big six’ label, by finishing above at least one of the other big six, every season since 2009. And only finishing below 5th, four times over the same period. For a club that like City, genuinely struggled in the formative years of the PL, enduring actual relegation battles, this current period, is somehow defined as ‘failure’. The same people who call City, Spurs and Chelsea small clubs - call Villa and Newcastle ‘massive clubs’ (which by support they are) - but between them have collectively won one league title, since 1927, and no FA Cups since 1957. Villa won the European Cup, sure. But Forest won it twice. Funny how these football revisionists, won’t call Forest, a bigger club - if that’s the logic we’re going by. Defining success and club size in English football, is complex. But the problem with many football fans drunk on tribal passion, is that nuance and logical debate, always goes out the window. It’s left or right, black or white, big or small, super league or farmers league. There’s no middle ground, with these people.

If I do recall correctly, before each club’s take over, City had won more trophies than Chelsea did and we won our 1sr FA cup a year before Chelsea had even been founded. Terrific informative video. I struggle getting tickets for CITY these days now that I live over 100 miles away. Followed the blues for over 70 years.
Your best hope is to join the closest MCFC supporters branch to you .... they can usually get tickets for games, and, depending on the branch, maybe help with or organise transport too.
To be fair city is probably the best run club in the league and that is why they've been winning it.

I can confirm this video is correct because I was there and saw it happen!
I think the issue with History and attendances are just said to annoy Man City fans, because any logical fan would find the correct information with one click online. As for the 115 charges, that's a difficult one, because I'm sure no single fan has a clue about what's really going on, and most of them shout without having any inside information. I think the best thing we fans can do is just watch the games and leave everything else alone.

Finally. We were the cult of Maine road, we broke attendance records bruv😂 We were everyone’s second team until we started winning trophies. First team to win a domestic and European cup in the same season in 1970 Our history is amazing, and precious. Even Gillingham is precious to us.

Pep never went into a premade Barcelona team at all. Messi was not a starter and he built a the team around him. The media at the time said Messiw as not good enough to win Laliga as he is has no experience. Pep took a gamble selling Ronaldinioh and Deco and revuilt the team with Messi as focal no. 9. That was biggest gamble he has ever taken and it paid off dividens.

One further point and City's history. No mention of the 1956 FA Cup final and Bert Trautmann playing the last seventeen minutes with a broken neck. There are many clubs that, had that been their goalkeeper, it would be shouted about from the rooftops. City's advertising of this fact has been quite low key.

Three happenings from the early 90s changed everything: the formation of the PL; the deal with Sky; and one other thing which often gets overlooked, the floatation by Man Utd on the Stock Market, something which was to have long-term consequences. I have no idea which team you support but I find it risible to believe that you had it been your club that enjoyed the ME investment you would be making the same allegations. PS Hope it’s not Arsenal, who are the sponsors on your shirts? Likewise I trust your team avoids the FA Cup, who are its sponsors? US, owned, a country where the death penalty is still practiced, a recent one being of a criminal by lethal injection after spending over thirty years on death row.

@3;48 "This wasn't the first time....." The 1970 ECWC was the last time an ALL English team won a European trophy. CITY are also the last ENGLISH team to win the league, in 1968.

What I admire MC most is the excellent use of the resources. They spent on point and effectively put the new signings into good use in very short time. However, in comparing the spending among different clubs, I afraid the comparison is kinda unfair. I just checked in statista on net transfer spending from 2008 to 2024. MC has been topped with a total of 1596m MU 1406m Chelsea 1334M ARS 926M Channel owner here just falsely post the number of biggest spending, regardless of years long excessive spending history compared with others. And I suspect the high spending of Chelsea was made after the fired of Tuchel. From the statista data I m afraid MC is indeed “oil money” football team, with more than 15 years of high spending. However, I don’t think this need to feel guilt. Ignore what others criticise about you guys, just don’t try to distort the reality.
Another good comparison is the annual wages paid. Here is 2023 annual wages payment ARS 156 mil LIV 156 mil MC 191 mil MC cap is among highest as well. Too much datas proving MC is a relative big spender, compare with ARS and LIV.

I've met more city fans in Manchester area than united fans on my two visits there. So i know there is a passionate local support but I've never met city fans in the wider europe like I've seen for Arsenal, man u and Liverpool
As a lifelong City fan since the early 90’s, this is exactly how a lot of City fans like it. We’ve always been very comfortable having a local fan base, I think any City fan or unbiased fan of another club will always say we’ve always been a big club, just not a massive club. We mocked United for years about plastic supporters and tourist fans and unfortunately given our recent success I’m noticing a lot more tourists at our games now which I don’t think I like very much but that’s the way of the world now when a team has success. Fans of other clubs think we aspire to be like them, but we really don’t. If we could be successful and not have our glory stolen by people who jump on the bandwagon it would be ideal. But there’s nothing that’s gonna stop that other than us being relegated 🤣 it used to be if you were in Europe or another part of the Uk and you’d saw a guy in a City shirt you knew he was from Manchester and goes to games, now I get approached by guys on holiday who tell me they’re City but they’ve been following for 5 mins, and with the rollercoaster we’ve been on over the last 25 years or so, you have a rapport and understanding with real fans as they’ve been there when we were really poor, and like me we don’t take success for granted 👍🏻✅
I've lived in Manchester for 3 years now and I lived 2 years here for uni about 10 years ago, the ratio of united fans to city fans is about 7 to 3, it's a local fan base in sense that they're not global but there are far more united fans in Manchester than there are city fan, people don't like city because their success doesn't feel earned like Uniteds, Liverpools and arsenal's

One thing you do have wrong my friend is the widely held belief that utd are older than City which is not true. Their first game was played on the 20 November 1880 the Newton Heath of 1878 was in fact a rugby club not the football club. The two were not related in any way and St Marks was the first club in Manchester to play Association Rules football.
