I think the biggest difference is that Kai has a dance background before being an idol, and Hyunjin started dancing just as a trainee. That's so crazy, like, he build himself in a few years and I admire him so much because of that 🤧 Of course, I love Kai and the way he dances too, is just crazier that Hyunjin did this without being a dancer before aaaaaa
u knowwww,, it’s crazy cause yesterday i watched like the behind the scenes of the aotm video and hyunjin explained exactly that!! i was actually so surprised cause i truly thought that he had been dancing since forever,, that’s how good his dancing wasss🥲 also he said he practiced jazz and contemporary dance and i was sooo SHOCKED cause i actually pointed out the same thing for kai like I WAS TRULY AMAZED so i 100% agree with youu💗💗

When you mentioned about EXO Kai starting out young with dancing (as well as majority of main dancers in virtually any K-Pop group), I was suddenly reminded of Hyunjin's own uhh...dancing history? Fun fact btw, it NEVER crossed Hyunjin's mind to become an idol not until he was street casted while doing groceries with his mom. Prior to that, the only hobbies he did were probably swimming and some artsy stuff (he wanted to be a designer of some sort). No dancing, singing or rapping at all. That in mind, it's really amazing how he learned and improved his dancing in his 2 years as a trainee + 4 years as a debuted idol (the entirety of his dance experience). Of course in terms of versatility he has a long way to go to surpass other main dancers who have the advantage of experience like Kai, but Hyunjin is living proof that sheer dedication can produce amazing results. It's also great to witness him decide on and develop his own style and identity in his craft. You can see this not only in his dancing but also with his rapping (he used to be criticized for his unclear pronunciation). On a side note, please don't die yet! You're just at the tip of the Stray Kids iceberg! ( The belly piercing is fake btw. :D )

A few Hyunjin fun facts: 1) Hyunjin didn't have a dancing background at first. He said he was so bad at it that he started hating it and some trainees told him something like "you can't do it with dance...just use your face" (which fuck them for saying that) and that fueled him to do better until he actually loves dancing and now he's the main dancer (tho skz doesn't really have official positions) ❤️❤️❤️ 2) Hyunjin said when he was choreographing when's the party is over he choreographed it with the thought of showing the feeling of emptiness after a concert or a performance is finished. That is why at the end there's the "empty" word. (man he must love performing in front of stays so much and you can see that in recent concert of theirs. All of them smiles the brightest in the recent concert) 3) sometimes when he does a vlive he will dance something or freestyle a sing and you can really see his style if dancing. It's hard to say but if you want h him a few times you can totally see how distinct his dancing style is. 4) Hyunjin major in English in his university. Apparently, one of the reason is that he wants to communicate better with stays and you can really see his improvement with his English!! 5) He comes up with the #lovestay tag and is known as the lovestay boy 😭 6) he absolutely likes to bother Minho then run away once Minho try to shove tissue into his mouth (in which I'm serious he really did get shove tissue into his mouth) Oh, you should react to Hyunjin's little star too. It's a song he wrote for his first dog that passed away (kkomi a.k.a kkami's older brother 😭)

Right omg ,I always have this weird miscommunication about the pretty memebrs that they’ll be stuck up ,and mostly it turns out they’re just quiet & shy ,and while sometimes hyunjin is that as well ,mainly he’s just a crackhead ,it’s incredible honestly 😅
Since Hyunjin is also my bias, I was waiting for this video because I knew I'll be like "same, Sara, same" Hyunjin's Play With Fire was the first thing I watch from Stray Kids and I also was "Who is this guy" and then I fell into the rabbit hole. At the beginning I was also without words to describe his beauty, but then I started discovering what an amazing person he really is and, somehow, I stoped noticing his outside and started more like feeling his beautiful presence. He doesn't like to be called "the visual" of the group (beside, everyone there is a visual), because when he started as a trainee he wasn't really good and got scolded a lot, but people used to tell him not to worry, that he didn't needed talent because he was pretty so he'll debut anyway. That hurt him deeply so (after a little intervention), he started working hard to be better, started liking dancing, started improving his rapping and singing, and when JYP told him he didn't stand out on stage, he begun to work on his expressions and poses and movements, he's so hardworking and doesn't take it easy when someone thinks he just have talent and doesn't have to make any effort to be good, because he knows how hard it was for him to get where he is now. He's also so gentle and has the biggest heart ever, worrying about STAY's emotional and mental health, made lives called "Hyunjin's counseling center" where he read STAY's problems and tried to give some advice or just some confort; he created the hashtag #Lovestay and then made a song with it later. And remember a bully scandal late 20? Where many idols were accused of being bullies in school? And everyone denied it, no matter the evidence, and never admit any of it and brushed it off until everyone forgot about it? Well, he was the only one who acknowledged it (even though, looking back at what was later reveal, it wasn't really bullying), he was the only one who took responsability for the fact that someone felt hurt for something he did or said when he was younger (barely a tween), met with that guy and apologized in person, wrote a letter to take the blame and payed the price by being frozen, or "in hiauts" as they called it, for months. I don't care what people say, but for me that was the moment I understood how deep his feelings are and how far he was willing to go to make everyone feel better, no matter what it may cost him... And I'm tearing up again... Well, I could go on and on writing about him, but you'll discover it all eventually, so have a nice trip. And bring water and oxygen bottles for the journey.
Agree with everything but the bullying wasn't even bullying and jyp said in a statement it was false, hyunjin had his teachers and classmates defending him and it was proven that him and the accuser had a fight in middle/high school or their words was really harsh on each other in that fight, anyway he was proved to be innocent. Also it's sad that he had to go in a hiatus for 5 months knowing that he's innocent and the members said that he has a fragile mentality but glad that he came back much stronger.
@@Mayoooooooo exactly! As far as I know, this guy was responsible for Hyunjin's team loosing a match and so Hyunjin called him out for it, then the rest of the team did the same. That's what this guy called being "bullied" and blamed Hyunjin for how hurt he felt when people pointed out his mistakes.

Hyunjin is so insanely gorgeous and talented, he always leaves me speechless every time he performs. I will never get over Red Lights. Ever. And there’s a behind the scenes for his AOTM performance. Let’s just say it’s about 30 minutes but it took me an hour and a half to get through. Also, for Stray Kids’ Exo Call Me Baby cover, I’m never gonna get over that either. There’s a part where Hyunjin just decides to take his belt off and yeet it. That literally lives rent free in the front of my brain. Anyway, love your reaction and looking forward to the next one!

Wow i feel you so much. The first time i saw Hyunjin dancing i really had goosebumps. Being pretty is one thing. But it's not only the way he looks but the way he expresses his feelings through his art (any kind of art he's involved in). He really puts his whole soul in everything he does. And he has a beautiful soul so everything comes out to be ethereally beautiful.

Hyunjin's dancing just moves me. The contemporary piece done to Billie Eillish makes memwant to cry, it's just so beautiful, sad, haunting. He's just amazing, just an amazing performer. I enjoyed watching this so much. Red Lights was my gateway to Stray Kids and I think Play With Fire was almost the next thing I watched. I was soooo captivated. What I love about Hyunjin is his performance charisma. Yes, he is very attractive, but when you see him outside of performance you realise just how much of a skill his ability to switch on performance charisma is. He knows how to make every eye follow each movement, how to play the relationship with the audience and make you feel like he's having fun or feeling whatever the dance emotion is and allowing us to watch. It's a quality that even some of the best technical dancers don't always manage to have. I think watching the ATOM behind the scenes interview was one of the first times I saw Hyunjin not performing and I was so shocked at how this sweet slightly shy seeming guy could just transform into this absolute star. Hyunjin was my gateway member but honestly, slowly you start falling for Stray Kids one by one, the talent in this group. Wait until you watch the Howl in Harmony ep 3 that documents how Bang Chan and Hyunjin composed Red Lights and get to just see their creative flair and discover the genius of Bang Chan the producer who just makes tracks like that casually- and then discover he is the sweetest man and such a good leader. Bang Chan also seems to be aware many people enjoy his physique and his costume choices sometimes show that.

OMG!! i love u so much ❤😂😂 ,thank u for your reaction ,btw do you believe that he started everything from zero skill?, he was cast by JYP staff in street casting, when he was a trainee he was annoyed because many thought he could debut with just his visuals and didn't need to have other talents, it really hurt his self esteem, hyunjin used to hate dancing when he was a trainee, but in the end he worked hard and decided to focus on dancing and rapping ,and this is Hwang Hyunjin who is now with us as a member of Stray kids 😊

I'm EXOL too and a little dancer who watch kpop dancers !! And it's just fact that everyone knows KAI AND TEAMIN ARE THE LEGENDS AND BEST DANCERS PERFORMERS SO FAR!! But the magical thing is HYUNJIN can sit near these 2 legends!! Like he's only 22 years now he started to loves dance in trainee classes!! The reason why I became STAY!! it was HYUNJIN DANCING!! First of all Hyunjin has his own unique Style and choreography by himself and impact that no one can do!! But I'm always saying this too as soon as I started to see his dance,, he gives me KAI AND TEAMIN STYLE VIBE!! his facial expressions his strong moves but flowing into his soul,, he feels the music he let u feel it too!! His dance it's absolutely ART!! he has masculine kai vibe and feminine style if teamin too!! He has both that different style! Hyunjin never limited himself to trying different and new styles as much as u watched already so different between pwf, aotm, when party is over, and yes exactly kai too that's why hyunjin is so talented!! He catches your eyes the first until the end!! Look how much hyunjin is perfect that u think about comparing or describing his power to legend like kai like with best dancer in whole kpop! This mean how much hyunjin is great!! He's still young and has long way to go !! It's my biggest dream to see HYUNJIN KAI STAGE!!

Excited for the "skz covering exo songs" video too, also when you finish all that i can't wait to see them being crackheads cuz unlike what you see in the music videos, skz in fact are very loud and have unique personalities, but don't rush anything, do it whenever you have the time.

Maybe it’s just the stayzen in me, but Hyunjin’s style of dance (idk if that’s how I should phrase it but oh well) kind of reminds me or feels like an echo of Taeyong’s from NCT. It’s something in the way they’re both able to relay such visceral emotions in their performances via facial expressions and in their choreographies, hyunjin with when the party’s over and taeyong in his freestyles on NCT dance (rest in peace). Not to mention they both worked their way up to main dancer positions with absolutely no dance experience prior to being casted. Idk I know some people get miffed when comparing idols, but I think it’s so cool to see how some performers cultivate their styles in similar ways. Even though each one is unique to every person, they embody certain elements that allow them to take their performances to the next level! Sorry for the long comment, and congratulations on not dying during this incredible introduction to our lovestay boy!!

Good job on handling Hyunjin's performance marathon all at once! I think I died after watching Play With Fire and a couple months later I died again after watching Red Lights, and again after watching his AOTM. This man just continues to murder us over and over again 😭

This went pretty much as expected lol. Glad you enjoyed it. He is such an incredible performer, dancer, choreographer, singer, composer…..the list just keep on going . The best part of Hyunjin though, is Hyunjin as a person. No one loves Stray Kids more than Hyunjin does. And no one simps over and loves Hyunjin more than Stray Kids. He is so clumsy and funny and sweet. Some of my favourite videos are of Him, Lee Know and Han together, because they literally share one brain cell between themselves. SKZ Code is a must for seeing their personalities. Hyunjins Artist of the Month behind the scenes is great. SKZ Talker, Howl in Harmony Song Camp are all behind the scenes shows.

I just discovered your channel with this video. I only recently got into K-pop after seeing SKZ Venom. I loved them straight away! Then I found a fancam of Kai’s dancing & OMG!! he instantly became my ult bias & the rest of EXO are all bias wreckers, I can’t pick. So I’m totally a EXOL now but SKZ are a very very close 2nd. I’m going to see Kai next month! Can’t wait! It will be my very first K-pop concert.
