I have converted the 1/87 scale BUSCH Smart Fortwo into the radio controlled model.
The steering is operated by 3.9mm diameter stepper motor and the drive by 4.1mm diameter DC motor.
Wireless communication is performed by two Bluetooth modules(RN4871U).
The RN4871U must be configured for communication before assembly.
The transmitter is built on the breadboard.
The microcontroller used is ATtiny3217 on the transmitter and ATtiny1616 on the receiver(the car side).
When the car decelerates from a running state, the brake lights light up automatically.
Headlights and turn signals are operated manually.
When the voltage of the Li-Po battery becomes 3.4V or less, the turn signals stay on instead of blinking.
The power supply for charging is DC 5V.
Even if Bluetooth communication is interrupted, it will be automatically reconnected.
The grid of the cutting mat in the video is 5cm square.
Bluetoothの通信が途切れても自動的に再接続されます。
動画の中のカッティングマットのマス目は5cm四方です。

I mean it's impressive enough to build a rc car at this scale but then you go ahead and put turn signals, headlights, brake lights, backup lights on it. Seriously impressive good job
Indeed.
A little horn would have been hilarious.
You should put air conditioning in it! 😃
@@jimmycline4778 yaa also add a mini tv inside it
Needs windshield wipers with fluid jets.
The control this guy has is amazing, he’s like a freaking brain surgeon!
Hey Pal, brain surgeons have a much greater amount of operating space.
Honestly
Please micro 4wd RC
I mean what if he is tho
I think u went a lil bit too far
Nobody know how big of a flex this is. No custom PCB required. He really just deadbugged a no-lead attiny package. Amazing
This is amazing! It needs to be driven around a miniature village with traffic lights.
This is insane, headlights, blinkers, rear light and the most important: IT SOUND'S LIKE REAL SMART!
Just need to add a horn and my mind will be truly blown! Ok, I admit, the lights already blew my mind.
Should've made it a BMW and then he wouldn't've had to bother with the turn signals.
And music...lol
come on… You're simply amazing. The novelty of having such a thing just as a conversation piece is definitely worth the work you did… Most of us can't do that it's out of our reach. And some of us may not see any point. But it is truly amazing what you've created you would be like a proud father I'm sure
The lights absolutely complete this tiny little gem! Very impressive!👍
Not only did you add actual functionality to such a small model, you also added realistic lights. My god, that's impressive.
All project is amazing, but the lights... i have no words for it. You are great!!!
I completely lost it when he began to install the turn lights
What I’m more impressed with is how you didn’t short everything with those exposed ass wires
Wires insulated with varnish
Was gonna say the same thing.
Absolutely incredible craftsmanship! I’ve worked with tiny electronics and smd leds, the amount of stuff you crammed into that little car without altering the shape took some serious forethought and planning.
this has way more detail than a lot of expensive regular rc cars
I sat here on a rainy Saturday afternoon with a coffee and hit play on this vid. As I watched I could feel my mind tingling as I tried to comprehend the skills required to put this together. I am in awe of what you achieved, fantastic!
I watched this video also on a Saturday which has rainy weather which is today.
Building a care this size is already an impressive feat but Fitting headlights, brake lights, turning indicators, and other extreme details is a whole new level, I say you made darn we'll use of the space you had! And a good job too!
Some people are creative and not talented. Others are talented and not creative. This man is both!
The amount of small gasps and smiles I made at every light changes is uncountable. This reminds me of the dream toy car I wished for my childhood
This popped up in my recommended. I love it. Years ago there used to be RC cars like this from Radio shack called ZipZaps. I loved them, they were fully customizable. From the tires to the motor, they were popular but they changed the style of remote that came with them to the awful wheel and trigger remotes and sales for them dwindled and they died out. I wish they would come back especially with the tech we have now.
The reverse lights are such a nice touch! You make this look so easy. Thanks for sharing!
Dude it could have just been lights, it could have just been able to drive, it could have just been a 1/87 car but god damn all three in a Smart. Massive respect
Imagine 50 of these rushing at you at night with the lights on.
The most skilled surgeon could only wish to have such steady hands. This is crazy!!
You have an amazingly steady hand. This would literally be impossible for me. The firmware development looked like it'd be fun! Seriously amazing job. Kudos
Nice engineering and that is some pro level soldering skills. This should be what the new hot wheels should be like.
It is 10 times smaller than Hot Wheels, the scale is about 1:87.
i didn't even know this was possible... when you got the steering and motor running, i thought wow that was pretty cool, but then you kept adding feature after feature, honestly awesome
My mind is blown, I can't even begin to imagine how much time, preparation and care this took.
The amount of precision and detail is just insane :O
The masterpiece is all the control board wiring, he is brilliant
Complete genius... my hat off to him!
The way he soldered the microcontroller ATTINY in QFN format on a perf board (at 8:50) is just insane! I am an engineer and can do all the electronics in this vid, but the soldering level is just amazing! Very steady hands!
tbh, thats not a toy anymore. it's art. absolutely awesome job. love it.
Bruh, this is UNREAL. Good Job
I was already blown away... Then he started fitting the headlights and my head exploded.
This was one the videos that ever put a smile on my face on KZhead. I enjoyed with joy and happiness as it was like my childhood dream came true. Great job and pretty sure this is boys thing. :)
ever since childhood i always used to dream about a very smol rc just car like this but i never found any, now seeming you make one has made my dream come true :')
sameeeeeee
What no horn!?! Lol! J/k thats some attention to detail with the turn signals and everything, just awesome!
this has more functions than any RC Car i ever owned xD
Dam thats impressive! I laughed when you put the 3rd brake light in, so much detail!
Thank you for listing all of the parts utilized, it is helpful for an amateur electrician.
Making an RC car of this size is impressive enough but making the headlights work is just a flex.
You should do a video course on this and sell it, people would buy it for sure, I know my dad would love to have this for his model train set up.
You can get the normal unmodified version from eBay it’s kinder Smart Fortwo I collect those I have about 15
Competely next level. I dream of one day being able to build 1/64th scale. The lighting was worthy of applause.
the electrical here is 100% better than 99% of light kits available and or implementations by ANY RC brand. spot on.
This has to be the most amazing thing I've seen in quite a while. Your engineering skills are amazing. Great job on this diy build.
This was my dream as a kid (50 years ago) having working headlights and indicators on my matchbox/corgi/leseny/dinky cars..... a MkII escort with lights....AMAZING.....Ford Zodiac with break lights...WOW and ausin 1300 with hazard lights....OBLIGATORY. thanks for the vid
THAT, IS, INSANE... Incredible work!! and unreal precission O.o
precision ?
I got so many of these little buggers in kinder eggs when the car was released. I'm familiar with every inch of this model and thoroughly enjoying watching this legendary upgrade!!!
This is insane. You put that much controls in such a tiny thing.
The functional lights, haha the icing on the cake! Well done
You could probably fit in an ExpressLRS receiver instead of Bluetooth, so you could use something like Radiomaster MT12 to control it like a proper RC car.
The amount of control and mastery over your fine motor movements is unnatural, wow!
You've outdone yourself with the lights lol Great work!
Quite amazing you managed to put two motors in that small space.
Fully operational lights just like the real thing...... nothing short of incredible!
I was half expecting there to be powered windows as well
Same thing crossed my mind!
Incredible! even the lights work, youre a craftsman and a genius!!
I would live to see a tiny Mazda Mx-5!!
That is, I think, the most impressive DIY work I've ever seen on KZhead. And beautiful soldering, by the way. Subscribed!
Я просто не знаю как выразить свое восхищение...спасибо за эти минуты наслаждения увидеть непревзойденный талант и золотые руки !!!!❤❤❤
Левша 👍👍👍
i did not expect it to get lights too. amazing work!
This is next level impressive, I have never seen something this feature packed and so well-built!
I still wonder how the hell you have managed to keep all those naked wires unbroke and disconnected from each. Respect the hard work !!
i think theyre enamel coated. stops them from interacting and short circuiting each other
@@blurredhorizons5067 and noted some plastic heat shrink or similar on the wire joins. But yes enamelled copper wire.
I didn't move or breathe I was afraid to stop you from working miracles Thank you! This is very skillful and beautiful It is necessary to remove the red-green lamp for the battery, in real smart he's not there. connected charging = brake lights came on when the battery charge is 100%, the turn signals blink
I mean and I'm saying that I was really busy but literally for a moment came across this video and I blacked out absolutely 100% . I enjoyed every second of this video and I want to say thank you so much it's brilliant!
Amazing. But you forgot the horn
oof XD
That's soo cool. I probably wouldn't even be able to plug the charger in.
That is a modern-day Faberge egg. Incredible talent. I can’t imagine what one would cost.
NO ONE CAN IMAGINE THE EFFORT BRO TAKE WHILE MAKING IT
This is what I expected from a kinder joy btw that is awesome mate you're genius!
Lol
That's the most impressive thing I've seen in a lot of years. And as if it wasn't cool enough. ..then it has low and high beam headlights. No doubt many others have said the same, but I wish I could buy one. It's a true piece of Art. I'd have it displayed on my mantle as the major showpiece. Although I don't think people like me are supposed to own expensive things like that in our lives. Still it's a nice dream. Awesome craftsmanship. Wow! I forgot to add that I love how you made your own remote for it. It just makes sense to have one you've made to go with it. I'm really jealous.
this video gives me anxiety....unbelievable skill....and steady hands.....you melted my brain..! so much going on. wow
Wow, I am blown away and that is someone that does projects like this.
Work Of Art. loved the last scene where compared on laptop, realizing again how small is the scale 😍 loved it brilliant.
Back up and brake lights that activate automatically too? Damn, this is impressive! A steady hand and extreme patience is your forte. Good job! [edit: _AND_ low beams and highbeams? WOW!]
Love your project. Respect from Afghanistan.
Genius use of the optical fibers. Saved space and kept things from getting cluttered with wires\lights under the plastic shell.
Friggen hilarious. The amount of detail is astonishing :D
He even made it pretty close to the actual size of the car!
Amazing work. Teach me master 🙏⚡💪 wish I learnt more of this stuff. As a father, abilities like that are priceless
I like how its only a lil bit smaller than a real smartcar
Haha this is so dope, when i was a child i always wanted my HotWheels to be rc
This guy is pretty amazing what he can accomplish I can barely try my shoes some days.
I have no idea why this came up in my recommended but I am not disappointed! Bravo 👏
80's Micro Machines, but this is next level. Thumbs up today.
this has more features than half my old toys when i was a kid
What the shit, this has got to be the coolest thing I’ve seen this year
man ur kind of crazy. and i totaly respect that, i wouldn't have the patience for this kind of small no mater WHAT
When watching it drive around you kinda forget how small it is until you see it again on the laptop at the end... crazy intricate work, amazing
Really impressive. I would get lost with so many wires without any name or signs
That's amazing work. I was just interested in this as 30 years ago I used a matchbox as a base and transferred parts from a working clap-controlled car and slapped a DIY conversion axel+transmisson in it. It worked, happy dayz. Yours is much cooler, hands down.
This carThis car has too much technology. 10 points for this creation
I am so exorbitantly impressed with this remarkable miniature! What an adorable and magnificent little Zip Drive!
This is the coolest thing ive seen this year
This video unlocked childhood memories is otherwise wouldve never remembered :')
Omg! That's freaking awesome! 👍 👍 So cute! I love all the lights, and functionality of it. Fantastic work!
It amazes me how damn stable this man's hands are
Now that’s what we call skilled talent ❤️ Amazing 🤩
Incredible, what a great build! And it even sounds like a real Smart!
All the way down to headlight and signal light, well done sir.
細かい作業だけでなく、基盤から造る知識もおありと、すごい!
