In the sea of Car Content this channel is standing out for me, its car people enjoying everything about cars along with great camera work and editing. Great job and waiting for next one.
🔥☄
@Mohan Dandamudi Thank you so much for recognizing that! We're having fun with variety and I'm so happy to hear you're enjoying it, too!
Completely agree Great wording!
@Todd Sanderson Thank you!
I agree. Great content, and Nicole knowledge and enthusiasm is on point! Keep up the good work, I’m enjoying your channel!
I really enjoy this format. You're knowledgeable and therefore ask the right questions. The types of vehicles vary so much to keep things interesting. And best of all, you get to showcase your talent by driving and experiencing each one of them. It's almost like Jay Leno's garage except from an enthusiast standpoint rather than a collectors. I love it. Thanks for the content.
Thank you for the huge compliment! ❤️
Nicole is one of a kind she knows her ****.
@Cody Waggoner Lasernut thank you!!!
I think something that makes the show really good is that it shows that you are really a car girl who enjoys it to the fullest and that is contagious, I love your show
Thank you so much!
This crawler looks bulletproof! Awesome!!
It does!
Its definitely bulletproof. Thanks for watching.
That motor is amazing, doesn’t even sound like it’s trying. More like it’s plowing a field somewhere!
This is not a sort of driving I've ever done or really seen much of. Thanks for bringing me along for the ride Nicole!
You’re welcome 😊..thank you for watching!
Thank you for watching. Share with someone that has never seen before.
@@codywaggonerlasernut5484 I'll see what I can do. I have a friend who has a sand truck, so I'll have to share this with him right away!
Nicole........ This is by far my favorite "Detour Episode." (Next to the first four episodes) You rocked Cody's buggy. I know your driving history, what your capable of doing from the driver seat. Its so cool to see you drive everything from Ultra4 cars, Monster Trucks, Jeeps, Mini Coopers, Gassers, etc !! I give this "Detour" ten thumbs up !!
Ah, too kind, Frank! Thank you for your positive support all these years. 😊🤙
Your little giggle as you fistbump Cody just around the 08:10 mark is just hilarious. Love all your videos - you clearly just have a ball making them.
Oh my gosh do we! Yes, lots of fun having over here!!! Thanks for watching!
My hand still hurts from the fistbump. Ha.
It's Wonderful seeing you in your natural habitat.😉
Thank you! 😃
You hardly Rock me Softly...that was awesome you are so brave!
Thank you..so glad you enjoyed it!
Really cool that Cody let her drive and showcase the capabilities really well at the same time.
If you ever want to take Pretty Penny for a spin hit me up.
I totally agree!
What I like about this channel is that you're doing your own thing. There's just so many who over and over try to copy Top Gear, and they just don't seem to get it. I like this solely because it isn't Top Gear. You are you.
I appreciate that..so glad you are enjoying! Thank you!!
Its refreshing for sure.
That was NUTS!!!! NICE DRIVING!!
Thank you!
Small world. Your career blew up. I met you once at your dad's house about a year after he moved to Vegas. Glad to see your hard work paid off.
Wow well hello again! That is a small world! That was a very long time ago... I'm surprised you remembered. Thank you so much for watching and finding me (even if it was actually the algorithm) 😊
Sounds like he needs new belt in the engine

@Cody Waggoner Lasernut I drank that massive can of Monster right before driving off of it!
I like that you know what you’re talking about and at the same time have fun and make it interesting.
Thank you so much!
There are some real gems on this channel. I think there was another one I wanted to see but I think I'll come back to check it out another day., Rock crawler? Seriously? Amazing! And for all of you soft off-roaders out there, one piece of advice: go rock crawling, it seriously amps your off-roading skills. The next time you'll be negotiating that river bed, that too in the dead of the night, you'll be thanking me!
We're so glad you enjoyed watching this video!! Thank you for the nice comment!!
What an insanely great piece of design and engineering
Yes..I agree.
I'm going to say this about this video. Like I have said about some other music videos it is a video like this and in this case a video about a Totally Sick and Insane vehicle like that Moon Buggy that makes me wish that you tube had a love button to hit along with the thumbs up. Nicole you kill it everytime and it so cool how you educate these guys on there own custom builds .. there reactions to your knowledge is priceless and then you dig in with the stare after you drop the education ... killin it !
Oh that's kind of you to say, but these guys are all so talented and smart at what they do! Cody isn't learning anything new from me! He's the current world champion!!!
@@NicoleJohnsonsDetour guess I meant to say not educate them but simple let them know that you know your stuff and can hang with the big dogs! Amazing job as always!
Out of all the cars you’ve reviewed I like this one the best, unbelievable. Nice driving too Nicole👌😂

I stumbled upon your channel via rotary roadster and 500hp mini, and I loved how it was no bullshit and real driving, but I must say with this video I got toatally hooked. Watched them all back to back now. Wow. Just wow. So polished. Wished I was there at every location.
Hey..I really appreciate that. Exactly what we're trying to achieve..we want our viewers to enjoy the experience right along with me! Thank you!
@@NicoleJohnsonsDetour No worries. I am a good fit the demographic of your target audience; for men over 40 life is full of too much serious stuff with only vapid mindless entertainment. Your show could well snowball into something huge and let's hope it does. Will shut up now - no-one likes a simp 😉
I love it! Great vid once again.
Yay, thank you!
All I can say is NICE!!!!
Nice is good!! Thanks for watching!

And we still would have only travelled 30 yards! 🤣 Thank you for watching!!!

@Cody Waggoner Lasernut Yep, true! Zero seat time, off a cliff! The donut was filmed AFTER the drop... Send it!
This awesome rock crawler is a mechanical engineer's dream!
Yes it is!! Thank you for watching!!
For the first it looked to me more like bouncer then crawler. But once you started to describe it especially quite small engine and portal axels .. I got more and more excited. That's seriously pretty sick and very well made bugy. I like it.
Awesome! Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for watching Tom. Its a cool little buggy.
nice very nice--hat yes the hat draws you in with subtle colors then the eyes just pop...could be the shade but either way they stand out in this video for some reason! seriously very nice video--kids (yours or of others) going to school/WalMart will never ever be the same again...we don't need back roads, side roads, off roads or no roads...trust we will get there and back rock crawling a new track!!
Thanks so much
:P the oasis overlooks this place. My family has been up the road from here since the 80s. I remember being 3 years old on an atc 70 going right through where this guy's land is now. funny to see this pop-up. JV is getting big. see yall at hammers next year!
Awesome!! Thanks so much for watching!
We love Lasertown.
LMAO you straight up sent it off that CONEX box. I can tell you've crawled rocks a time or two. Nerves of steel for real.
That was so much fun! Glad you liked it!
Seeing that Saguaro reminded me of two friends that were killed one weekend after running head-on into a saguaro in their buggy. Buggies are always a blast. My admiration of them begin watching Mickey Thompson out running the chase helicopter at over 140mph while flying off 20-foot Cliffs in his buggy. That he had equipped with four foot airplane shocks the long travel air shocks did not exist yet. Then the buggies morphed you're in the mud bogging craze of the 80s. I had a76 Toyota truggy I built in 1980. It was two wheel drive on 36 in by 17 1/2 wide dick cepek fun country. I eventually went with paddles in the back once I could afford them. There were no real prerunners in that day. Mine was way ahead of its time with its dual shocks and running 14 inch travel Gabriel hijackers. The toughest air shocks at the time. I had a air compressor tank and solenoids to force my articulation. It wasn't until the 90s when Shannon Campbell took notice and he was leading the new rock buggy craze that started in 96. After seeing what I had done with my 1980 four wheeler, same as my 76 two wheeler. The long travel nitrogen shock was born. Now back to the mud bog The Rock buggies today are equipped with a little more travel but aren't much different than those mud buggies except for weight. Things once again appear to be getting heavier not lighter very strange weight breaks and slows uphill momentum along with acceleration. My airplane has 16 in of travel on Fox air and many other cool goodies yet my empty weight is at 467 lb even has a supercharged 2300 type 1. You could take a hammer to the skin and not Dent it, as its Foam & S glass composite. Aluminum frame with heavy gussets.
Thanks for sharing!! You've certainly been around the block and seen lots of progression over the years. Shannon Campbell built my comp buggy, and my husband and I have known him since the early comp days. Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing if you haven't already!
@@NicoleJohnsonsDetour subscription is done. I love your adventures don't stop it's what keeps life interesting. Just stacked 134 bales of hay this morning. I just re-watched again since the first time I was fixing breakfast. I heard this time you saying that Shannon had built your own buggy that's cool. Didn't mean to name-drop. My acquaintance with him would have been in the early to mid-90s. Most I talk to have never heard of Shannon. But I've never done Rock competition either. Just Arizona and Colorado trails. Which among the thousands of replies you doubtedly read, you replied to my extensive description of Arizona Trails a couple months back. Yeah I've been around, I'm ancient! LOL When you grow up on a ranch you're forced to be resourceful. Started driving at 8 years old. And started flying gliders at 14. But I've allways had my hot rods, off-roaders, Show vehicles and planes. Participated in a few short desert races. And did mud bogs for nearly 3 years, before I moved on to other interests. But I have boonie bashed my entire life. And flying nearly as long. Mostly Bush planes. And although I still have my mini monster 80 Toyota 4 x 4 with its Marlin crawler. All I do nowadays is build and fly in my spare time. I have cartwheel a Toyota 4x4 twice at over 70mph. , Another time Barrel rolled three times at 50. And crashed a 250R 3-wheeler face first into a cliff at close to 80mph while racing. Surgeries cost tens of thousands of dollars for that one. LOL Been over the Rubicon. And rode from the Salton Sea through Glamis to the Mexican border in the Yuma sand dunes and back. All trails in Arizona. Even before they closed down most of them. that would include the only Trail that leads to the bottom of the Grand Canyon down lava steps. that entrance is through Utah. And probably is closed today. Nearly half the trails in the Colorado Rockies. And if there wasn't a road I'd either horseback or fly in if it was legal. The forest service has literally dozens of Landing strips in remote areas where there are no roads. And even if they don't, if the air space permits and it's not Wilderness or wildlife sanctuary it's legal to land anywhere it's safe. It doesn't have to be a road or airstrip. This can include mountain ridges or even sandbars in some States. Arizona's tread lightly law is a slippery slope. And it's technically illegal to put a tire of any vehicle in any water that doesn't have a road or Trail. Sorry I tend to babble. "The memories of an old man are the Deeds of a man in his prime."
Thank you for the sub and for sharing your memories with us!
