Darkest Dungeon - The Beginning of The End Trailer (FANMADE)
Damn, I have no idea why I made this. I was trying to sleep a couple of days ago and I just kept thinking about how cool it would be if darkest dungeon had a cartoon. So instead of sleeping I sat up and began writing the script for this trailer thing.
And to clear things up. No im not making a cartoon. Not because I don't want too. But because I don't have enough money, enough time and id probably require a small team to help me. But maybe one day I'll make it into a reality! But for now, this will stay as a proof of concept.

Honestly, if DD was a cartoon where the dungeons were horror, but the hamlet was the Heir babysitting 18 unruly toddlers, I would totally watch a cartoon like that.
That Jester scene got me feeling some type of way. Once I literally sacrificed my entire team to make sure Jester didn’t die and he ended up being killed anyway and I cried-

That’s how Darkest Dungeon works. It lures you in by looking kinda like D&D or some other lighthearted RPG, and then your crew all goes insane and kills each other. Fun times.

Absolutely love the mood whiplash when it switches from cracking jokes goofiness to the grim reality of the Darkest Dungeon. And that prayer at the end...OOOOOH, it gives me the shivers!
I would be extremely enthusiastic if Darkest Dungeon ever got a cartoon. I love most content from the community and love more Darkest Dungeon content in any medium. Hears looking forward to Darkest Dungeon II.
Its gotta be....happy tree friends style. Some character survived, some died, rinse n repeat for every episode, with all the virtue vices curse blessing, the tavern, brothel, church, training and lastly, the quote from the old man from the game.
I love how it starts as a dark action comedy then brings us back to cruel unfeeling reality within seconds...just like the real game!
I always restarted whenever Dismas died. This is why I still haven't beaten the game after well over 300 hours
that's why you cheat and back up your save file whenever you play.

Best way to keep Dismas and Reynaud: No Crimson Court Only short missions They only do enough to get to level 6, never use them again Exept for final quest, for the acheivment, of course. I managed play the game like that on my very first playthrough. Dismas died at the very end, because I didn't know what was waiting for me. But him dying a hero is good for me.
My brother was super sad when he was forced to flee from DD and Dismas stayed behind so that others could get out :( And then like ten weeks later "From Beyond" popped up and Dismas just walked out of the graveyard :3
That crusaders last line was impossibly raw. Superb, and i have replayed that part about 30 times since i heard it the first time just a little while ago. Anyone else needing it, 1:19

To be fair the arbalest brought a heavy crossbow. That's gotta count for something, right?
Well, that's why no one questions her area of... expertise. I mostly meant heroes who brought melee weapons ( like Graverobber who brought knives, a pickaxe and A BUNCH OF SYRINGES )

It's a turn based game with permanent death and some rouglite mechanics. It's very hard and can be bought right now on most platforms.

It's a wonderful game about, I quote: "Making the best of the worst situation" It can be one of the most fun games you ever played, or a gruelling, torturous experience. Sometimes the game showers you with fortune. Loot and treasure around every corner! Felling enemies effortlessly! Other times it holds out just the thing you need an inch in front of your face, and pulls it away at the very last second, dooming your entire party. It's a game you can really immerse yourself in, every time your hero gets a lucky crit and explains that he/she is excited, you can physically feel his/her excitement as you sit in front of the screen, but this also works the other way around: "You ready a party of four trusted adventurers to be sent on a quest in the old ruins under the family manor. It's your first time going on a longer adventure, you have no idea what to prepare, how much food or medicine to bring. You pack a decent amount, and then it's Bombs Away! Everything is going smoothly, the combat, the loot, all is good, until a horde of skeletons appears out of nowhere. The party is taken by surprise as they have the upper hand. One punishing battle later, most of the party is heavily damaged, but as there are only 2 more rooms left to clear, you decide to use the last of your food to heal. As you continue, in the middle of the corridor lay a trap, unnoticed by the party. The mechanism is triggered as the cleric steps on the pressure plate. A moment later the party is in dissaray, every member is worn down, with no food left to heal, but only one room remains, you musn't give up now. As you continue a game message pops up: "Hunger" 'The party must be fed or they take 20% max HP damage' But they don't have 20%HP left. The only button on the screen you can press will let them starve, killing them all. And in that moment, sitting in front of your computer, you can feel the despair of the adventurers, who just realised, that these dungeon halls will be their grave" Hope I didn't discourage you . It's a great hame TBH.
@@kristofkoncz8634 Actually, that "but they didn't have 20% HP left" is inaccurate. Why? Because of DEATH'S DOOR! If a hero hits 0 health, they don't die immediately. They're put in death's door, and every attack after that has a chance to kill them, even if it does 0 damage. Being healed takes them off death's door, but a heart attack from teaching max stress puts them on death's door immediately, and a heart attack on death's door is guaranteed to kill them.
Good News: there is probably an alternate universe where some big company saw the potential of this video and made a badass animated series for DD. Bad News: unfortunately it is not this universe... dang it :(

This is obvious, but I absolutely love the fact how it begins so light-hearted, but becomes so infinitely dark when they enter, the Darkest Dungeon. It's pretty cool.

So...I am 100% on board for an animated project exactly like this. And the voice-work is INCREDIBLY stellar...not stiff, or awkward in execution...but delivered VERY naturally. Kudos to everyone involved!

your Darkest Dungeon videos are always so good. I love that after watching them all you get a sort of feeling for who the characters are because they have such personality. And since you did that mostly using songs from other works it really shows how well done these videos are.

The eyes of the darkest dungeon characters may be symbolic of their broken mental state, but that reminds me of another popular dark eyed character, 2D from the Gorillaz back then, oh 2D look at your people.

I fond myself shouting "NOT THE JESTER!" in the middle of the night. It's always the jester I take a likeing to, be it Vane, the first jester in my first CC playthrough that kept getting the curse every time I cured him and eventually just stayed cursed, Howard the reincanated god of my first ever playtrough (had an abom named Howard who decimated every boss and died to a random Shambler attack, the next week the jester named Howard arrived at the stage coach), or the guy named Hatchet.
That was a great short :D!! Kudos to the VA team, they did a great job and fit their characters perfectly 👍 I loves the jokes ("you can't even see half of the battlefield" XD) but wow, you can also make it serious and creepy Oo (Reynauld and the candle is the best part in my opinion) Great job ! Thank you for doing this !
