Thank you for checking out the video, The setup was incredibly quick and straightforward, so didn't make the most impressive video, so I've added clips of the first "Benchy" I've printed.

Very impressed, but found the default 95% extrusion ratio a little low, I've changed this to about 100-103% for prints since, and the results are looking very good, so check my next video which will be a comparison between Adventurer 3 prints and Finder 3 prints.

Hi, I am having some issues with the printer filament not coming through. Only just purchased it and I click load, but nothing comes out from the printer?
I have that same desktop wallpaper, haha.
Hello mate, just wondering after several months how the printer is doing, have you had any issues with it?
I passed mine on to a new owner. Overall I preferred the Adventurer 3, purely because of its overall simplicity. the Finder 3 was a great machine, but a little more prone to issues than the Adv3's easy-switch nozzles. The Finder 3 is a step up, so not as well suited to a new user as something like the ADV3, But for someone a little more experienced (just like most mid-range 3d printers) the Finder 3 does offer slightly better print quality and speeds, if you've got the experience to keep it free of blockages and running optimally.
can you make a video on the best print settings for this printer?
I don't have the Finder 3 anymore, Gernally default works really well for standard PLA. The best thing to do is drop by the official Flashforge usergroup on Facebook, Members are often sharing their settings, and many are happy to advise if you post any issues you're having.
Have you had any issues with the print not sticking properly to the plate, even when you level it? Ive had multiple prints fail because they get caught on the nozzle or when I print the bridge, part of the bridge is sticking up and gets caught.. different things keep happening. Ive been learning more but with the machine being a few months old on the market, not a lot of info out there.
Hey did you get any solution to your problem? Seems this printer cannot be leveled properly. I've tried all the things and still - printing something that uses whole printing area does not stick properly and warping on the edges. I can see that bed is lower on the edges. If I'm trying to raise it then middle point is touching nozzle too hard. Wondering if that is the downside of having bed leveled according to 3 points only. Apart from that two fans broke within first 120hrs of printing and required replacing (motherboard and nozzle)
the manual says for the glass plate you might have to add glue
@@abiellujan8392 sure but printing five squares (edges and one in the middle) gives me different print quality. Cannot get top left corner aligned it is always too low.
@@shotandtravel ah ok
@Abiel Lujan so contacted flashforge to get some advises but not sure if they are not taking me seriously or simply struggling to understand English but their solutions proposed to me makes no sense at all. Problem I have is that during calibration all three points touching bed and bit harder than they should (just in case to be sure there is a contact). However one corner (top right) is still too low and print does not stick to it. Flashforge advised me to adjust knobs to lower back corners which would make it worse only. Seems that customer service does not understand their own product. Not much of help.
what slicer did you use?
Flashprint. I always stick with the proprietary software
Would you buy this machine or the creality sermoon v1 (£220 at the minute). It will be my daughter's first printer.
I've not used the Creality myself, but I know they also make some fantastic machines. I did have a few issues with the Finder 3 and moved on to the Adv3 Pro V2 which I personally preferred. Generally, if the Creality Sermoon v1 is similar spec and performance, at that price, I'd go for it. But if it's RRP is less than £300, then you might not get near the performance of the Finder 3 / Adv3 series printers.
@@LeeHubbz Thanks for your reply. The sermoon v1 pro has an RRP of around £450 but is on sale at the minute.
At that price, I'd go with the Sermoon. Flashforge and Creality both make great machines and imho they're worth their RRP, so if you can get one for that saving, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Just bare in mind, with any 3d printer, they're not plug and play, they do take some getting used to, and you might go through an entire reel of filament before you're getting great results consistently. Just be patient, use it as a learning process and start simple, when your daughter can printer a simple "Benchy" perfectly, then move on to more extravagant prints.
Thanks again. I'm an engineer so will be helping her along with it and am aware they need some work. Both have their pros and cons and I will also be new to 3d printing.
Can anyone advise me on what to do?… After connecting Wi-Fi on the printer it advised me to update firmware. I selected yes. It completed its update and prompted me to reboot. I turned the unit off and on again and now the screen on the printer is stuck on its intro image that says “ flaskforge 3d printer”. How can I get it to switch to the menu options?
You can update to the current (newly updated) firmware via a usb stick. If you join the "Flashforge Official User Group" on Facebook, there's full instructions available there (search *Finder 3 Firmware*
Sorry, I was out when I originally replied, If you haven't already found it, this is the post I mentioned: m.facebook.com/groups/913241999042183/permalink/1877999042566469/ The tips there (and there's a video regarding the usb update) has resolved the issue for most users, But if you're still having trouble, comment on that post and if necessary tag "Amy Wen" and the team can try to help further.
Not worth buying. Brand new unit: - Faulty Motherboard Fan (outside the box) - Faulty Extruder Fan (after first 140hrs) - Bed uneven, cannot level one of the corners (software adjusted one, not much to do there as middle is perfectly aligned but right side of that area is still lower than rest of the bed). Contacted Customer Service team. However, these are Chinesse. Their respond is general, most cases template is used. Not really impressed as very poor quality and after sales service received.

Hello mate, just wondering after several months how the printer is doing, have you had any issues with it?
Hi, I sold the Finder 3, Didn't get on with it as well as the Adv3, so passed it on to a new home.
@@LeeHubbz oh god already ordered! Hope it is ok for me, thanks for your reply
Mine was a very isolated issue, not something I've seen from hundreds and hundreds of other owners in the official Flashforge usergroup, So I wouldn't worry about it.
@@LeeHubbz thanks not that many reviews around compared to other printers glad to hear from you, thanks for your help
