  • Good video Mike.....in the late 80's up to the death of Tom Knapp I worked at developing various compounds for cleaning and lubricating firearms. I focused on solvent free, water soluble, non-flammable, non-toxic ingredients. Dry lube was not readily available then..in fact only one company in New Jersey made it. Tribology. I convinced the owner to sell me small batches in spray cans and put my label on them. The REAL trick was convincing shooters to abandon petroleum based products even after I demonstrated the superiority of the dry lube....... The choice to choose and video the use of the dry lube was BRILLIANT.... All the best

  • Interesting approach with the teflon spray. I had previously heard silicon spray recommended. CRC makes a spray can of food grade silicon which is safe for use in commercial kitchens and food processing facilities which I think might work as well as the water repellent spray; but the teflon dry lube looks like the cream on the top.

I've greased the rollers and guides in the door but I can tell the felt is getting old in the track and I think the window is rubbing raw spots in the track that are more like rubber than felt now. I see my Lowe's and Academy (which are next to each other also!) have the Teflon dry lube and Kiwi heavy duty water repellent. Imma go get some uptown in a bit!

  • i would love to see somebody actually figure out something to fix the problematic power windows on the 98-02 gm f-bodies (camaro/firebird) ...ive had several of them & they literally EAT power window motors... just on the last 2 (over 11yr span) ive changed 8 of them... the forums are full of ideals & ive tried all if them... if mine moved as fast as ur "slow" one, id be a happy guy ...i hate these weak power window motors that overheat & burn up so much id swap out for manuals if they were available (but theyre not, w/ exception of rare option for scca racing) because the manual windows in my 71 chevy have NEVER failed me, in the dark, in the dead of winter, in the rain... but enough of my "piss-poor-gm-quality" rant ...always enjoy ur videos man, thanx
