Vincent Van Gogh: The Starry Night | Acrylic Painting Time lapse video
Time lapse video painting a replica of Vincent van Gogh's extraordinary and fascinating masterpiece, The Starry Night (Reproduction, Acrylic on Canvas, 50x70 cm)
👉We could speak for days about the mastermind who painted The Starry Night. Vincent van Gogh's miserable existence, the fact that he suffered from multiple mental illnesses and his tragic death at the age of 37 are just a few examples of his unfortunate life.
👉Curiously, this humble genius didn't start painting until he was 27 and he only sold one painting during his lifetime, titled The Red Vineyard. According to some sources he even got to points when he had absolutely no food and so he started to drink the turpentine paint thinner and eat paint.
👉Interesting fact about The Starry Night: Van Gogh considered this painting a “failure”, and he painted it, in fact, in an asylum after his self-mutilation in 1889. It's amazing how today it is one of the most recognized paintings in the world, and it is considered the greatest work of Van Gogh.

Hello Suzan! Super cool piece of your art! I love Van Gogh's work! He is one of my top three favorite artists! Klimt, Van Gogh and Botticelli are my favorite artists! I adore Starry Night with all my heart! There is so much magical energy there! Suzan! You did a great job creating this amazing masterpiece! You are super talented! Now you are in the top of my favorite artists on planet Earth, right after Batticelli! With a happy smile, your creative friend, Pavel! :)
Dear Pavel! I am flattered! But even this expression is an understatement!! You are so kind and nice! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sweet words! I am happy that you too love Van Gogh! I read about his life a lot and I feel that he is, in these days, an artist that deserves much more recognition and admiration. With the life he had it is a miracle he could realize such stunning masterpieces. I am literally in love with The starry night, one of my most precious paintings I ever painted ❤ Thank you, again, for your lovely words, you beautiful soul!!! 🙏

Is the brown color at first is gesso ?
No, it's not gesso, it's burnt umber, if you are referring to the first color I put on my palette. At first I covered the whole canvas with a mixture of burnt umber, burnt sienna, yellow ochre and grey. I like to have a layer of color on the canvas before I start painting.
@@SuzanFineArtStudio. I do, too! I copied a VG painting I love, Garden in Arles. I was pleased with the result.
@@karphin1 wow, that one is so rich in vibrant colors! I bet it was a real adventure painting it!
@@SuzanFineArtStudio It was!
slow down.
I'll try! 🙂
What color is the base color? Im color blind so cant tell. And i wonder what the base color of vincents painting was
Even if I did my research before starting to paint, unfortunately I didn't find out what colors Vincent used for the base. I don't paint on white canvas anymore, I always apply an initial layer of paint, which in this case was a mix of the following: burnt umber, burnt sienna, yellow ochre, black and white.
