Using a well to fill our pond! We were finally able to install a Flint & Walling submersible pump in our freshly drilled well and now it's time to fill our pond with water! How long do you think it will take?

  • Great job on the video! We had fun watching this install and grabbing some clips. Not sorry that we missed the daring plunge. 🥶 Thanks for the invite and call us anytime you're looking to move some more ground water. Enjoy your new pond.

  • Are you going to do a fire pit area? Maybe a pavilion for grilling, audio system, lights for when the sun goes down? That’s everything we ended up adding to our pond. Lots of great nights/holidays. In our pond, we made our fill line into a fountain. Our fountain is a 2” pvc line with a cap that we drilled a pattern into. When the fountain initially turns on pressurized it shoots about 30’ high, then it equalizes to about 10’-15’.

  • One of the things I appreciate about content like this is that it increases my general knowledge, while also being entertaining and interesting. I may not ever need to know the ins and outs of building a backyard pond. But I gained some knowledge oh how a well is installed. I can easily see where I might need to talk to a well contractor about a dying well pump. Having some knowledge of how they work will help me have a competent conversation and know what to expect for repairs.

  • Thank you for showing this; this gives me an idea what the well we had in our last few years at our cabin was like. Dad had a small shed built over the well head; if we had ever used the cabin over the winter, we would have made sure to insulate it. As it was, we never had trouble with it freezing, as Dad at least made sure the shed was weatherproof. It seems though that the HOA put in water supply lines to the cabins a few years after we sold the cabin, as the new owners have apparently removed the well since.

It`s absolutely gorgeous with the surrounding cement work and the giant pier you had poured. Airation, me I gotta put some sort of foutain in it, just to hear that water runnig, what a great place to share with family, or just take a nap or read a book, running water just has a calming effect. The done shots are beautiful, it neat, clean and finished looking, not just a hole dug in the ground. The look on your daughters faces after the plunge, PRICELESS, well done sir.
