Welcome back to Stick To Football with Gary Neville, Ian Wright, Jill Scott and Roy Keane - the original show from The Overlap brought to you by Sky Bet.
With the absence of Jamie Carragher due to Champions League commitments, former professional referee Mark Halsey makes an appearance to chat about the latest refereeing and VAR controversies.
Listen to Roy reliving his red card career record and why Wrighty kicked a referee’s door down.
Jill and the team also chat about the impact that Chelsea Women’s manager Emma Hayes has had as she announced that she would leave the club at the end of the season, with the boss expecting to take the US Women’s National team job.
And we round off the show with our Super 6 predictions. Find out who has established an early lead between Gary and Roy and what they are going for in their third round of fixtures.

    • I've said it before, but you mellow out once you're out of the high scrutiny positions you're in. We see it with Jaime and Gary on Sky. They were constantly at each others' throats when they played, and you can understand that it was about competition, especially during the Golden Age of Man United and for Jaime, playing after Liverpool came down from their Golden Age. Whether it was winning the league, FA Cup, or Champions League, they were constantly competing for something only one team could win. It's why Keane and Vieira were able to get together a couple of years ago and make a combined Arsenal/United XI. They weren't competing anymore, so they were able to talk a lot more calmly to each other.

I was sent home , I think I was let off due to my normally calm and respectful manner so they gave a written warning and left it there. In fact when wrighty was saying how it felt, part if me was getting twitchy over something 20 years ago 😂😂😂

Taylor managed 38 matches and only gave Wright 9 starts and was choosing people such as Nigel Clough, David Hirst and Brian Deane ahead of him. Venables seemed to treat him even worse with game time. By the time Hoddle came in he was already 33. A player as good as Wright to never get selected for a World Cup or a Euros, when there were 3 opportunities is a joke.

Should have been in the 1992 squad, was brilliant for Arsenal the season before. 1996 he was rightly left out. Wasn’t scoring at his old rate anymore and the strikers on the squad were all top class and in form. 1998 he was injured and arguably past his best anyway.

    • @@chockablock34839I'm 34 so I don't remember Ian Wrights England performances to be honest but I do find it very strange that you have 3 amazing English strikers, Ian Wright, Andy Cole and Les Ferdinand all playing around the same time and yet between them they have only 65 England Caps. Wright has 1 more than the total of Cole and Ferdinand together. Baring in mind these 3 players scored a total of 652 league goals, the vast majority of which were in the top English division. They had a few things in common. They scored goals for fun and they weren't white. May not be a factor but I think it was
