Oh you have not seen cruelty in your life. There are worst real life murderer and serial killers out there who seems so innocent and seems they cant hurt even a single hair. I grew in within a tribal community and we play with animal blood during events when they slaughter cows and pigs for shared meals, but we grew up just fine. As a child I also watch a cow shed tears when being slaughtered and I cried but our parents explained its okay to hunt for survival. We have moral values and high empathy. The thing is when some community aren't bothered with animal blood it does not mean they are cruel.

My heart has warmed up because I now learned that rattlesnakes are not as bad. They can create good bonds with their family. I hope the Roundup gets banned, or outlawed. Is there something I can do to help ban this cruel practice? Like donate or something?

Then specifically to go looking for rattlers doesn't mean there's an over population either. An over population of rattlesnakes is when there's many dens under your house. Then it's OK to flush them out and kill them.

With this so-called over population, I've never seen a live rattlesnake, ever and I live in Louisiana. Every time I hear someone who came across a rattlesnake, they were out in the woods hunting. An over population means you would see them all the time like you do squirrels. There's not an over population of rattlesnakes though. Places like Arizona though don't count for over population as you will always see rattlesnakes inside a home to escape the heat. I live in Louisiana and so don't have desert heat, because of this, no rattlesnakes trying to get in the house.

In a lot of Southeast Asian countries for example no form of animal abuse is illegal, even pets. this is why a lot of fake rescue channels operate on KZhead killing and torturing animals for clicks and money. @Sally Beavers, your knowledge on snakes does not exist. They are venomous, not poisonous. Also, they only attack when threatened (excluding the black mamba). The person or animal is almost always at fault if they get bitten. They also keep the rodent population down. A very helpful, great animal.👍

As a person whose been watching the amazing “Snake Discovery” channel, been LOVING snakes since 4, and actually having lots of contact with snakes, I am disappointed with this. My heart just shattered when it said KIDS MAKE HANDPRINTS WITH SNAKE BLOOD. This has to stop. I hated when it showed the kids looking like they’re actually having FUN. What’s so fun about watching one of the most beautiful creatures to ever exist suffer? I’m losing hope for the humans. Tbh, I just wish we didn’t exist. Actually, only the kind and actual smart people exist. We could make this a better place if that happened. Even if your scared of an animal, DONT KILL IT! I've heard the roundup doesn't upset the predator-prey cycle, yet you have to wonder. The number of rattlers should be in proportion to available food. It would be interesting to conduct a field test that determines if the balance of nature has been upset by killing so many snakes. Why can't they turn them loose after the roundup. Emily Richard yup the rattle snake round up. Happens in Oklahoma and Texas every year. Funny though the round ups are actually making the surviving snakes more dangerous. Because these snakes are realizing they are being found because they rattle. So they now give no warning and people just step on them.

Texas has a rattlesnake roundup each year. Yes, snakes are killed but most after extracting venum for medical use. The meat is friend and served. I've tasted Alligator or Crocodile and I'm more than willing to taste deep-fried rattlesnake. We have the Green mojaves here. Killed 4 so far but none large enough to deep fry.

Rattlesnakes keep the rodent population in check and provide valuable resources in terms of venom that’s often used in research as well as to craft antivenin to treat certain snake bites.
