Muay thai is very underated. Its definitly the king of kicks discipline No other fighting discipline you see people able to break bones or woods or metal bar like its all normal They also have good punches although boxing remain king for punching skills

That just shows how game plan makes difference. Of course many people saying Tawanchai should improve his boxing, He's got the boxing skills, not as good as Kiria's, but he specifically said he did not want to get in on boxing range because it's Kiria's experties, and also Tawanchai saw Kiria's his previous fights he blocks with his arms and keep his guard tight, and almost no holes in his defence besides that arm, and so he keeps punishing those guards. Kiria is no slouch, if anything he's back in one of his best shape coming back dispite his age, if you focus on watching Kiria only in this fight, those hands are fast and scary everytime he throws something. Tawanchai just has better game plan and distance management to counter that high guard and walk forward style. This fight reminds me of Superbon vs Marat, Superbon manage the distance and keep kicking and teeps Marat to not get close enough in boxing range, Tawanchai coming in with similar game plan, that's why it looks like Kiria couldn't do anything because Kiria couldn't get into boxing range, and those kicks hurts his arm everytime it's being thrown.

@@luffywiththemeat4286 I think if Superbon doesn't clip Tawanchai with a head kick and slept him first, Tawanchai is faster and will win by decision or possibly knock out. Superbon will be using 5oz gloves for the first time so Tawanchai might want to use his hands, but as we saw with ozcan, Superbon knows when to throw those head kicks, unless your guards are tight like Marat, or has good eyes and anticipate them headkicks very well and get out of range, then Superbon is scary with a head kick close range. I like both of them, but if I had to pick I'd say Tawanchai, he's smart enough to know those sneaky well timed head kicks, and is faster. We saw how Superbon is not used to fast explosive pace in the first round with chingiz, Tawanchai will probably come out firing with his hands and low kicks I predict.

Yep there is not much thing you can do to avoid those kick unless you got Muay Thai skill same them. Or you just used to that kind of kick like you can see many Thai fighters not really look damage from their opponents kicks.

Thai boxers are very good at managing their opponent's strengths. If you like to use your right arm You will then be dealt with on your right arm. If you like using your left arm, hit your left arm. If you like the right kick You will be kicked in the right leg. not only hurt It also makes the attack much lighter.

Legs always win against arms. It's has more weight and combine with speed, it will break your arm if kick at the right angle. He doesn't need much boxing skill, just know how to dodge the punches and counter. Boxer have no answer to a guy who can kick and keep distance.

I really liked Davit Kiria. He was getting real good about 7 years ago when petrosian was fighting. He use to kinda move like Vladimir kuzmon does now.

Best way to explain it, wasn't in his plan. It seems like he wanted to go kick for kick with Tawanchai, so after he missed that kick, Kiria let him reset. Now, had he been a little heavy on the pressure and the boxing, he would've done better, and totally went for the off balanced Muay Thai guy.
