Porsche 918 Spyder First Wash in 7 Years Detail and Sell!
This is a Porsche 918 Spyder with only 162 miles! It was left in a garage since 2015 when purchased new and has dust and water marks all over the paint. This is likely its First Wash in 7 years. We washed and polished the paint before adding AMMO Reflex Pro to the clear coat and Gelee Pro to protect the wheels. Clearly this isn't a disaster detail, but for a $2M car....its as close as you can get for its first detail ever. The Porsche 918 Spyder is for sale through Porsche Greenwich. Having parked a 918 for 7 years gotta be a crime c'mon, very nice result
same thought. uuuuhh it only has 12 miles on it and 5 waterdrops. i could go on an hate rant, but hey we have bigger problems
Why don't they invest their money in art work, if you are just gonna look at it? cars are meant to be driven.
The worst crime is selling it to the dealership, he should've listed it on bat, definitely missed out on atleast 300-400k probably, if not more
@@carlmcgregor2707 Because they prefer looking at a car. What do you care what people want to collect?
It's automotive blasphemy
its such a shame owners who got access to machines like these never drive them. gotta say the detailing was amazing
@Def Bet I know but still you get my point right
It's just an asset for them. Knowing value of these rare cars can only go up if being stored for a few years without using.
@@Andreasy2 idk about you but to me cars are more like a living entity, each with a personality of its own, the emotions it gives you. People just don't get it. Locking up a 918 for years with less than 200kms just to have its value appreciate is like kidnapping Margot robbie and forcing her to eat veggies for the rest of her life
Never know why they haven't driven it
@@aizazrehman5153 Wtf kind of comparison is that? and obviously it's you who don't get it most hyper car only serve as status symbol and investment not daily driver.
Alright, that magician knows his stuff. He either did some digging before meeting you, or he actually has ESPN or whatever.
"we've never met before" but also was a big fan and watched all his videos :)
Ah yes he has all the sports channels 😂
@@Yechizzle 🤣
It's ESPN 8 the Ocho.
@@ColinStevens I'm Shocked. Back to you Cot.
You're a rock star Larry. Thanks for another great video. I realize that people can do whatever they want with their money/property, but it's tragic to see a hypercar purchased and then just stored/neglected. Probably left in a garage with 10-20 other incredible cars that rarely move. Oh well, to each his own I guess.
LOL, while seeing this video I told my wife the irony of being millionaire. You get the opportunity to own a masterpiece and yet... 7 years and no use.
Reminds me of the Lykan Hypersport scene in Fast 7 - "Nothing sadder than locking a beast in a cage"
I bet he made a nice profit out of it though. Once you have money, more will come to you.
hi, hope that you are well. Do you want to know about rich people? I went to the Silverstone and I saw the Enzo Ferrari and guess what? on the engine bay, there was bird poop!!! I mean this car is rare to see and the person who owns it could not be bothered to even give it a clean. that is rich people for you.
he REALLY IS. It doesnt get much better than a 918 and a pristine porsche carrera gt v10. Those are mesmerizing autos.
What a waste of an amazing car never getting used. Awesome video as always.
I worked at Manhattan Motorcars in NYC. Amazing vehicles would come through, 918s, Gt3s , Gt2rs , Bugattis , Koenigseggs , Bentleys and more. Guys would own these insane cars and never put more than 1000 miles on them its crazy.
@@MicroSBs I suppose there is a little bit of fear when you spend a million plus on a car that it might become damaged or something. All I know is I'd drive them till the wheels fell off 😂
Its probably because people that can afford these, have a massive collection of cars, and not enough time to drive them all. (also super cars can be investments.)
I love to see people get all worked up by what others choose to do with their property.
@@Nick210 I don't really think people are getting worked up about it.
I love how you continually count it an honor to pamper such magnificent toys. I had a Tesla Plaid and Maybach this weekend in for ceramic coatings and no one seems to understand why I had a smile on my face all weekend despite my sleep deprivation. Thanks for what you do Larry. Always an inspiration and encouragement to me. From Houston Texas -Gilberto
What a shame to purchase a 918 and not drive it... Such a shame that these cars are seen as an investement and not as enjoyment.
agreed. This is why Jay Leno is the ultimate car guy. Owns tonnes of super cars, but drives them and shares them with the world
@@gaveintothedarkness but he owns a ton of cars so he still isn't putting a lot of miles on m
Because they are, us mere broke asses say this, until we own one.
People who can afford these cars work too much.
@@biggestthreattoyourexistence People who afford these cars have other people work for them
918 Spyder and Carrera GT side by side is the ultimate Garage🤩👍 thx Larry. 💪 keep up the great work.
Lol no it's not
The reason why I love detailing is this dude right here.
The magic man? That is a strange reason. Kidding and I absolutely agree! 😂

What an episode! Two of Porsche's GOATs. Love that you give other detailers an opportunity to work with you
I've been watching your videos since you ran this out of your car, and I am simply in awe of your optimism, your high standards, and mostly your love of what you do. I'm glad I found you on KZhead, all those years ago.
It's certainly hard to say no to making such iconic cars look amazing. Great video Larry, awesome to see ur audience has grown so much in last few years. Tbh..Ammo was the 1st detailing focused channel that made this style of filming really entertaining. Im glad ur brand has achieved such great success & recognition.
Not sure what was crazier...Larry doing 2 expensive Porsches or Phil reading Larry's mind! 😲
Wow, the opportunity to work on these two amazing cars must have been quite a treat. They turned out incredible! The fact that someone would own that 918 and never drive it or even wash it blows my mind, hopefully the next owner puts some miles on it and keeps it pristine as it deserves. Great video as always!
Larry’s reaction to the magic = hilarious
Are all magicians douche's? I can't tell but that magician came off as one.
That 918 Spyder looks absolutely gorgeous
I've learned so much from you Larry. You sparked my passion for cars and car detailing. Also your content gives me so much positivity. Thank you Larry for sharing your years of knowledge and experience 🙏.
Appreciate the kind words thanks!
Oh man... my two all-time favorite Porsche models. You did a fantastic job with them too!
lots of people won't recognise the skill in simple things like using a pressure washer next to a dry car, but bro, you got them skillllzz man,I've worked in private detailing companies, dealers, auctions etc (trying to get my own operation off the ground) and i can honestly say there's allot of skills you can't appreciate until you do this for work
Always such a pleasure to watch your videos. A great attitude is often the key to unlocking the door of success…congrats on all of yours Larry…well deserved!
You are on fire lately, so many great uploads! Please keep them coming, every video is a pleasure to watch.
What a duo. Who knew that celebrity car detailer would be a legit business? Congrats on making it happen!
Larry has the best job in the world, he gets to clean, protect and preserve the best cars in the world, and sometimes he gets to drive them, much love and respect to Larry and salutes from Colombia
Larry I love how excited you get about these cars! I keep spreading your channel to all my friends because its obvious you love your craft!
Finally it's on youtube.. love you're work💪🏻
Man I would love to have my mustang detailed by this man, have watched tons of videos and holy crap his work is ungodly.
Nice Video! Love the 2 cars side by side!! You brought them both black to life! What a difference before and after!! Keep em' coming Larry!
I respect how humble you are ... true business man .. all the best from KSA
Nice work. Appreciate your insight and tips.
Insane video! Those magic tricks were crazy to see! Always amazing seeing these videos! Keep up the good work Larry!
I have several sports cars & motorcycles I bought new that haven't been washed in years. They live in garages under covers & are only driven on the sunny days of the week. Good job on your work & videos.
Another great video, and good to see the dealership that helped you get the Taycan support your business. Those 2 side by side looked fantastic!
Wow Larry you’re the luckiest man in the world! Seeing these 2 beautiful cars in one place is an incredibly rare occurrence in itself, *DETAILING* both of them in one session is absolutely incredible. I’m not one to be jealous, but you’re making it so hard not to be 😂
Always livin’ the dream. Keep it real, Larry 🍻
What an amazing job you are doing every single day . And the most impressive thing about your job is your love for it. I can see what kind of passion you have for your job. Really happy for great great content ! Best regards from Lithuania ! :)
What an amazing opportunity, love you work as always Larry, much love from the UK
The magician is a legend for not walking away when he finished the trick😂
Nice...ordered some ammo products today for the first time, looking forward to trying them out :)
Woke up on a Friday early morning just to get blessed with another great video. Thank you good sir
Thanks for sharing this experience with us. Can't wait for blush to be released!
Why does the Magic Man look like a smaller version of Larry himself? I thought it was a parody at first!
Look in to my eyes not around the eyes.... you're under.
You’ve hit the jackpot on barn finds and first washes, that’s for sure. 😂
Amazing work Larry! Those cars are that much more beautiful as a result of your work 👏👏👏
I could learn alot about Detailing Cars from you… you one of the best I have seen on U-tube..😀💯✌🏾
With the two cars next to each other, what did you do about water being sprayed onto the 918 while doing the GT? Did you have to go back over the 918 with anything?
Quick detail and ur good to go🤟🏻
@@Eduartswag That makes sense!
Very careful to spray away from the 918 and also check off camera :)
Ah! Thanks for the reply dude 🙏
They hit it with a microfibre cloth, obviously...... ;)
it's impressive how timeless the Carrera GT looks next to the 918. The car could have been released 4-5 years ago and i would still look great
two amazing cars, Larry your spoiling us. amazing how you got to detail both cars, love the vids, keep them coming, legend
Just did my first diy home detailing my suzuki all thanks to you and your vids .Big fan love from India❤😍
918 one of the most beautiful car
You’re the best Larry 💪🏿 you make detailing so fun
What an absolutely stunning vehicle!
Your smile at the end after cleaning those two Porches was like watching a kid in a sweet shop. Lovely to see.
Hey Larry, thanks for motivating me to give it a try to polish my car. Do you have any advice for a nice price/quality DA polisher for a beginner? Thanks!
I got Wisetool 6" from Amazon. had good reviews. Haven't used it yet. Like you, this will be my first time doing this.

Absolutely fantastic to see a pair of Porsche legends!! Fantastic to see your team work!!! Double gift, this video!! Greetings!!!
Larry, great job man. Super great... I'm in Texas and its the state of hardwater spots.
The 918 is such an amazing machine, it’s kind of a shame that it just sits in a collection collecting dust. It should be driven!
When doing 2 cars that are only a few feet apart, do you have to dry them both off every time you use a pressure washer on one car? When power washing the Carrera GT, I couldn't help be think some of the water is going to end up on the 918 you just finished. Even if its just a little splash or misting. Is that inconsequential, or does it require a lot of extra drying?
We actually did the Modesta coating treatment on a dark blue 918 Spyder. We even coated the undersides & wheel arches. We also removed the engine cover & wheels for coating. Also I experienced the Carrera GT as a passenger years ago. Great memories 😌👌🏻
Another amazing video. Both of these two are my dream cars, just amazing. Well done Larry.
4:44 this guy is good 👍 he understands how the brain 🧠 works the longer you take to answer the most likely the letter/word is further down the alphabet lol 😆 🤣
notification squad, Have a nice weekend!🔥🔥🔥
really enjoying the videos man I love cars and detailing. My Granddad had a detailing business back when I was 3 years old, it didn't do too well but watching your vids really making me want to get into it. 🙏🏾💯
A few years ago I passed a 918 on highway 25 in Greenwood South Carolina. I knew immediately what it was but such a random place to see this beast!
I have to imagine polishing nearly irreplaceable carbon fiber on million dollar hyper cars has to be one of the most stressful things during these details.
160 miles in 5 years…imagine the health of the battery pack…😖
It was good to meet you, Larry…and the Magic man, cool surprise that day. I can’t wait to see how the CGT came out! Cheers.
I’m so addicted to these videos! Keep em coming😀
I couldn’t imagine having a car like that and only putting 100 miles on it, poor car
This is one of my unobtainable dream cars, and I feel the same. If I ever own anything remotely similar to this, I'd be driving it as much as I could.
It’s because the people who buy them are not true car enthusiasts, they are only interested in them as investments. To me, it’s a disgrace to the engineers and designers who helped make this masterpiece.
If you think this is such a waste, there is a garage in the forest from the sultan of brunei, which he had 2000 plus cars, rotting away. If you drive a single different car each day, it would take 9 years to drive it all. Smh
Stunning job, stunning car. Love your work!
THERE ARE A LOT OF CHANNELS OUT THERE MAKING VERY SATISFYING CAR CLEANING VIDEOS. BUT YOURS IS DIFFERENT. SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE NARRATION. THE WAY YOU TALK TO THE AUDIENCE IS VERY ENGAGING! AND I LOVE THOSE SMALL INTERESTING STORIES YOU MENTION ABOUT THE CARS YOU YOU WASH ON EVERY EPISODE. IT KEEPS US ENGAGED! there are a lot of other players making really good content but their narration is okay not remotely close to what you do. when you talk in the videos it's like you're talking to us you know? I can't understand you how you get the time to do the work and the KZhead. especially the narration. hats off man. Much love from India. 🧡
Thank u!!!
164 miles on a 918. Whoever bought it is pathetic.
Larry. Larrrrrrry. That 918. PERFECT compliment to your Porsche ‘collection’…. 😎👍🏻 -Then start on the GT hunt!
I got to your channel when i watched the P45 detailing and then I saw this video and wow, you do an amazing job! I also subscribed
I’m a painter at a dealership…..started my career in the detail shop as a teenager……….I love these videos.
Larry, I think you’re the real magician in this vid! Great job! Best, Herb
Larry…I love cars and I have a passion for detailing but my favorite part of detailing is paint enhancement. I’ve been detailing as a hobby for 15-20 years but I really want to go down the rabbit hole. I’m in NY and would love to help you and learn the craft. I’ve already watched all the training videos but there’s nothing like getting down and dirty with your hands. Anyway…keep up the amazing work and keep those awesome videos coming! 💪🏽👍🏽
Hey Man !!! I'm a huge fan of you !!! Love you works and admired what you do. Great Channel and hope more contents like this to help us out. Regards. MB
Sorry Larry, the Magician stole the show!!! That was insane!!
You have out done yourself again . You take the time to do a fabulous job. These cars are the bomb . Love muscle cars.
