One of the best eating fish but the secrets is they had to be fresh and bled out! During the breaks we would harvest fresh oysters on the oyster bars and have an awesome meal!!! We used the hose and a sprayer to clean a lot of fish and the best thing, it would get the slime off as well!

Had several native Lumbee friends from NC that would come down time to time and King fish with us. When the big pop eyes showed up late fall I would cast net a few hundred pounds for them and they'd be there within a couple hours. The next weekend they'd come out with smoked mullet, a few loaves of white bread, hot sauce, mayo, whatever, and pickles. And we'd gorge ourselves on smoked mullet sandwiches in-between catching kings while pin rigging. Brings back some amazing memories.

  • Hey! That’s my chicken! I live like 4miles down from y’all. How the hell did she get all the way down there? She’s a “cream leghorn” is a mix of a Leghorn, Barred Plymouth Rock, and Araucana. BTW -Her name is “Matilda”. You guys take good care of her now please. I’ve left the state already and the rest of my family don’t raise chickens lol. Good luck guys!

  • Egg-Laying chickens don't have much meat on them.... nothing like what we buy for regular eating chickens. Eat the eggs, the chicken doesn't have that much life left. Plus, Kelly will bust you in the head.
