Every day I get so many emails and comments asking why you can’t locate the music I use or find it using Shazam. I purchase music licenses for almost all the music you hear in my videos. I buy them them from various royalty-free production music sites and most of the time they don’t list the performer because it’s music made only for film productions with an audio watermark throughout the entire track, unless you purchase the single-use license for $50-100 per track. I use a lot of opera so often I’ll reference the opera but I won’t be able to direct you to a recording of that specific performance that you could stream or buy on iTunes or Spotify. Hope that clears things up and thank you for appreciating quality music.

I love how your sweet husband explained Easter: Something dies in order to have re- birth. God gives us re-birth because of his great love for us. I always think of Lent as a time when we give up something small reminding us that God the father gave up his only son for us. Wow, how great a love is that! The meaning of Lent and sacrifice is multiple - primarily, the fast (or abstinence from some physical pleasure you like) is a means of disciplining your (earthly) body to be in subjegation to your spiritual life. As Guido says, it leaves room for your soul to concentrate on the spiritual w/o being distracted or being a slave of, your earthly pleasures. It is one of the most beautiful ideas and practices of the Catholic church. Guido also makes the point of the suffering being useful to the rebirth: when you, during Lent and through sacrifice, suffer the Cross with Christ, you prepare for a great spiritual renewal and rebirth. Guido is so good at explaining - I will pray he passes on to his own son these beautiful ideas and spirituality, which is the heritage of Italy and which is dying in this troubles times...

Watching this video I was reflecting on you and Guido first planting the wisteria and coaxing your vines and roses onto trellis… how beautifully you have created your lovely home and nurtured the life you dreamt of having. I love popping into the church in my town, i light candles and enjoy the peace and architecture of the building (1912) im in ireland, but i would definitely go if i lived in Italy, with all the beautiful buildings..

Guido gave a very good definition of lent. I am not Catholic, but as a non-denominational Christian, we, too, remove something that we typically find pleasure . Such as a food or an activity, and we call it fasting. Fasting, similar to what Guido said, allows us to deny our flesh of things that we have come to find pleasure and that we depend on. And during Lent or fasting when we hunger or crave for those things that we typically do, we can meditate and concentrate that our Father God is our strength. He is our, Joy our pleasure. The Priest came and blessed our house then the next week we had a mass at our little chapel that is dedicated to Saint Giuseppe, they had a little alter with eggs and they were blessed and given to anyone who wanted them. So sweet. I loved it.

I think the new year originally began in March. Perhaps at the equinox? New years eve always felt so wrong to me so ive never celebrated it but come springs awakening i also start to feel alive again and like starting new things. In winter i still want to hibernate like the animals do. If you look at the meaning behind the names of the months in english you will see they are muddled. Sept = 7 oct =8 novo=9 and dec= 10. We naturally feel the rhythms of nature but our rules have removed us from them. So happy new year. 😂

Happy Easter , Happy Spring to you and your family. I remember as a child the wonderful scents that came from our kitchen preparing for Easter . My grandmother would make a layered combination of fresh orange (rind on) , basket cheese , mozzarella, salami, and top it with a black olive. To this day we have carried on this tradition three generations. We sent a photo to our family in Puglia and asked if they recognized this dish , they in return sent back a photo of almost the exact recipe. When I see it on our table at Easter I feel so happy knowing that this recipe came with my grandmother across the sea to NY and every Spring I am reminded of her and the beautiful person she was and the traditions she left with us. Now her great great grandchildren will be ( hopefully) tasting it this Easter. 🕊️

I absolutely love hearing about the symbolism within theses iconic traditional dishes. I think that the heart and soul of food is often forgotten or dismissed for expediency. We miss out on the medicine and the deep well of wisdom that comes from slow food and treasuring the process.

Thank you Kylie for always sharing your decadent recipes after you have full proofed them for us. I will be trying this soon. I am so very impressed by your basket making go, it makes me want to try one from the abundant Forsythia bushes we have on our property. Growing up I my Mom stressed healthy eating and low sugar and I am better for it today. You are a wise Mom. That being said when I was old enough to see how my friends and family ate, I of course wanted to try it. It did lead to food noise, regret when I would eat too much sugar and feeling of disapointment in myself. You know what is best for your family and I do believe that overconsumption of sugar for children is culture driven and needs to be considered.

That went by soooo fast😢. Loved it all. Easter is Christmas light. Just as important but not so intense and a beautiful way to seriously pray. While you two were talking, Guido’s eyes are blue , yours are brown, just wondering the color of baby’s , to me his shape looks like a mini me of Guido , precious baby 💜🐇💙🐥🧺
Interesting idea....Eye color....chances are greatest for the baby to inherent brown, as brown is dominate over blue. UNLESS Kelly carries a recessive gene for blue, which is possible.

It was a tradition I grew up with ,as my parents frequently moved due to my father's occupation, we always had our new house blessed. Kylie you are so gifted, I adore the little basket you made. With regards to the Pastiera you made, wonderful. I gave up cake for lent . I will so enjoy having my piece of Italian cake tomorrow. However ,it is a bought one, though it is from Italy. Your baking is absolutely amazing, your taste fantastic, you should write a book. Just love your videos .

I think keeping refined sugar out of Gianfranco's diet for as long as you can is a great idea, and I'm sure it would affect his sleep. I hardly eat things with refined sugar in them, but when I do, I usually get a headache and then want more - I think they say sugar is more addictive than cocaine. So lovely to see the sunshine, which is still lacking here in the UK. Have a lovely time and thanks for featuring the horses as I was going to ask if they were still there!
