  • I love hearing these stories. Especially when they go deep into killing in those tough missions, which all were hard. I'm sure this gives these guys an outlet to get this off their chest, so to speak. My Dad was drafted in 1968 & I can not get a word out of him about his tours in the 25th ID. He's 73 now & loves to talk about the good Ole days after I was born in 1970 but, everytime I would ask anything about his service days in the Army. He changes the topic & I don't push it. He got out in 1970 when I was born as they got the word that their division was headed back to Hawaii, Honorable Discharge. Boy, he was a rough Dad growing up also, but looking back. I wouldn't have it any other way.

  • I’ve listened to pretty much every podcast or interview conducted with or by Mr. John Stryker Meyer and the man is fearless. Numerous times he volunteered to risk his life to save his comrades, but the thought of swimming with hammerhead sharks produces a laugh at 1:14:03 that proves he may just be human. Furthermore, so many of the former SOG operators have lived some amazing lives after leaving Vietnam, but Big O may one of the most interesting career arcs detailed during these podcasts. Simply amazing! Is there a second part or conclusion to this interview?

  • Hey chick great video, I agree with everything you said here, my go to is an AR15 in 556. I love my battle rifles in 308 and my AKs but I would choose the AR15 because of parts availability, and it can be modified really easily for your needs. With the AR15 mags and ammo are both lighter and smaller than 308 and 762 so you can carry and store a shit ton. The AR15 is the best at anything but its decent at everything. The AR15 can be used to hunt , home defense, hell people have killed polar bears with AR15s. You can shoot an ar15 out to 500 yards which is more than enough for where I live but you can put some good glass on one and get hits over 700 if you put some good glass on it and know what you're doing.
