  • As a black man I love hearing this… I have NEVER ever dealt with Racism IN MY LIFE! Some of the closest friends/brothers I have in this life and the next are white… and you couldn’t tell any of us that we aren’t family. I have never been treated differently by any of their family members if anything they have treated me as one of their own. I’ve been privileged enough to go to private schools and colleges and I can tell you my blackness has never precluded me from doing ANYTHING that I put my mind too! Blaming racism is so much easier than blaming yourself for being unable to have a vision and chase it. All love! And I hope all that read this have a blessed day!

The simple fact that schools still Marginalize Cultural history's is asinine. History is History. Black History matters just as much as White History, yet in order to become a legal citizen, people are questioned on White History. I agree with the statement that American history is Black History, but until it's treated as such and has just as much significance as White History, then I'm not interested in Black History Month being taken away. That being said, there is a slight element of luck that they did not receive any injuries that would had ruined their careers. • @cahK It doesn't but it does at the same time. My take on this is, for Wayne to act like it isn't going on is f up. Wayne (like most of rappers), don't want to pick a side because he doesn't want to lose fans here and there. But, staying quiet is still selling out. That's a sell out move. But, he been sold out a long time ago. Like most do when they get up in fame. "They" tell'em to rap and make your money, BUT keep you mouth shut!" So, silence tells it all. That's why they hate Kaepernick and that's why I respect Lebron. Because he's not going to shut up and just dribble. When are y'all going to wake up? But, yet, the fact that you praise Wayne because he don't speak out and keep his mouth shut is ridiculous.

    • @Ty Ty Racism has always been going on. Not just when cell phones came out. Cell phones just recorded what has already been happening in the black community. On another note, how can Wayne say that when the police have been messing with him, raiding his buses and profiling him, etc. But, now, he don't know what's what? Come on!

Strangely, this happened , not in America, but while doing a contract in Africa for an American contractor. Some American Hicks made their racism clear then I can see how he would go 33 years without having to experience the pain of racism, but I had my first real awakening to racism in my thirties as well. I appreciate that he is not making up a story or pretending. Shannon also said as much.

I love Lil W, he not only stuck to his opinion, but 1. He confirmed he grew up in a situation as bas as it gets 2. He gives specific examples against this narrative! *where he grew up. *Shot himself v young, white cops ran in, more concerned a lil kid was shot & saved him *Confirmed how can there be racism when a guy like him, where he came from, became so successful? “Half my fans are white, love me, & made me successful “? He’s never seen it & he wasn’t always famous! I don’t see or know why there’s a color, to him he is successful in and as an American!!!!

    • I don't say I don't see color, of course I do. However it is not something I factor in when assessing my first impression of a person. The reason why is that every race is labeled with stereotypes and knowing that every individual is unique puts thier racial makeup at the bottom of the list in terms of the criteria I use for assessing another human being.
