After the release of Blossoms Shanghai, a lot of people are probably going to look up old clips of 90's Shanghai. I haven't watched the show yet but once the English subs are released, i will. The first time I went to SH was in 1998 with my mom. We flew from HK to SH (got to test out the current HK airport which was recently built at the time). The trip didn't go too well cuz I got sick. Since then, I didn't want to come back due to that awful experience. Fast forward to October last year, I went back to SH and wow, what a huge difference. Great environment, friendly people and great food. I did go to a popular Xiaolongbao chain in Huanghe Road and little did I know that it was a foodie street back in the 90's. Now, I really regret not exploring that road thoroughly back then.

In the bottom of my heart, I really missed the feelings of old Shanghai. 😢 Things were very cheap then, people riding bicycles recklessly to be seen everywhere, cars were horning at every corner of the road, pedestrians crossed the road as and when they wanted to. Yes, it's dirty, people were spitting on the roadside, littering the road, still many puddles of dirty water can be seen. Roads are rundown and dirty old buildings everywhere, piled with rubbish. I really miss those days, the real Shanghai. I missed it so much! 😢😢😢😢 Look at the ugly city now. This is not Shanghai!

@joehacker708 I do not completely agree with you. Look at London, Paris, and Barcelona, etc, they stay the same for centuries even though they are well-developed cities. The feel is there, you know it when you step foot in London. Shanghai is gone.

There are always pockets of old in every city, I mean Shenzhen was nothing but a frontier town built from scratch from the 1980s, and the old Lo Wu (or Luohu town, 罗湖村) is still as seedy as ever, like the old days.

WTF are you talking about? Shanghai is not polluted at all. Can’t you tell this is a video shot more than 30 years ago?

胶卷本身就清晰呀，而且胶卷拍摄的画面可修复空间大。如果是磁带机拍的，就没什么修复空间了

上海的繁华不只是90年代，更应该看20、30年代
这个视频是我见过最好的怀旧视频 最好的90年代视频 没有之一。因为这就是我眼睛看到的 脑海中的画面 没有那些额外的泛黄滤镜或者早期摄像器材不行导致的不清晰失真的画面。曾几何时 我们以为那不清晰的失真的泛黄的画面才是那个年代该有的模样。其实不是的
因为你看到的不是原画质，都是上传到网站上后被强制压缩了的画质。

影片太珍贵了
这段视频应该是官方用电影胶片拍的宣传片，然后转成了数码格式，胶片特有的氛围感特别明显。
同感，前三分鐘的街景畫面都是在2000年之後拍攝的。94年時，浦東公園拆毀，建成浦東唯一高層建築物～東方明珠。除此之外，四周空無一物（沒有任何高層建築物）
浦东夜景是99年拍摄的，浦东白天是98-99年。外滩和南京路淮海路夜景是96-97年，黄河路是99年，外滩白天是92-94年。既然要做90年代，就是要找90-99年间的素材的。
@@tmgf5710扯。2000后南京路步行街有了。而视频中南京路还没步行街，看街景是1998年的，我太熟悉了。还有，2000年后的东方明珠塔夜景比视频里的色彩要亮丽些了。 所以，别乱扯。这视频是符合90年代的，而且就是1998这一年里的。

这不是90年代， 应该是2000之后， 因为金茂大厦1999年才完工的。
我可以想象这位作者在80年代应该是特别爱玩的年轻人，感谢记录下这些宝贵的影像，作为90后，第一次去上海是在2010年，上海真的繁华。

不对， 91年我家已搬到25楼高的高层建筑居住，95年已经有很多高层建筑了，像浦东东方路张扬路一带，八佰半附近，虹桥开发区太阳广场一带都已高层林立。(因本人于93年大学毕业，从事旅游业，看到并经历了90年代上海的发展，非常怀念那时的上海人的上海。)

少年时曾以为阿拉的上海会接近东京，无奈结果却沦为了北京…已经来了东京十多年，却仍然常常忍不住幻想可以生活在一个没有被胡化的上海，不需要那么多纷纷扰扰的物质，只求一片内心安宁。

无意间刷到这个视频，看见陆家嘴的空地。就想起我一个朋友的故事，90年代父亲在 香港煤炭贸易赚到第一桶金以后 成立外资公司 拿到政策最后在空地里盖了一栋大楼。就在黄浦江边 2000后一年家里收租收入十几亿。命运弄人
