I was watching the wedding at a friend’s house and we hadn’t eaten breakfast yet (it was early in the US). That speech had entered ‘make your brain explode’ territory to the point we couldn’t handle it anymore, even with the comedy of British reactions, so most of us went out in the kitchen to get something to eat. A friend’s teenage son was still in with the TV and yelled “He’s talking FIRE now. Literally, he’s talking FIRE now.” It was one of the most memorable moments of the morning. lol
I don’t know how he didn’t get pulled aside at the rehearsal and replaced. The whole thing was totally tone deaf and cringe-inducing.

Well, that day i escaped to the English Lake District to climb Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England. It was fantastic weather and not a breath of wind on the summit. The view over the Lakes and across to Scotland was jaw dropping.
Curry rudely ranted on 10 minutes longer than scheduled. Jr groom attendant was yawning & Charlotte was just excited. Meg later smiled at the other flower girls but glared at Charlotte . All because Catherine suggested it would be more appropriate for the little girls to wear tights. She called all William’s children ‘brats’.

The wedding was a major public event, just like sports events, the annual Queen's Speech, Jubilees, Olympics, film openings, awards ceremonies, football matches, Wimbledon, the Grand National, concerts, parades, protests etc. Such events attract a need for security, which is paid for through taxation. It is estimated the total cost of this security, and cleaning after the event was about £30m. However this isn't accurate, because those expenses would have been incurred on those police officer's salaries and council cleaning expenses anyway.
After watching Prince William/Catherine Middleton's wedding vs. Harry/Meghan's, I preferred the former wedding ceremony the best because of the music, reverence for Our Lord, and it seemed more traditional to religion. I'm not one for "bucking tradition," which is something Markle is known for doing. A wedding is a solemn ceremony and needs the highest honor and respect.
True what you say about people having a ceremony that is meaningful to them. So if that's the way they want it, let them. My preference is for the more traditional one. Glad I had that. I knew what to expect. Strictly my own preferences and thoughts on the subject. :) It's a world where one-size does NOT fit all. Freedom and choice in all things. :)

To be very honest, I really didn't know ANYTHING about her until the wedding announcement. But what bothered me the most that it was odd that she had no family, or close friends or old friends that came to her wedding. Only her mother. Most of us didn't. I'm a merican and I hate it that people think she was a famous actress in America we had never or rather very few had ever heard of her. Now I watch some of her acting scenes on suits and there was nothing spectacular about it it was rather dull.
I think she is more well known in Canada as the TV show she was on "suits" was filmed there and she lived there. And she did have some friends there its mentioned in the video her best friend and their kid was in the wedding
