  • It's amazing how friendly and affectionate the older chimps are, they love to hug and share their food and just seem to love being in a big family setting. They accept their humans as part of their family. Animals are like humans, they can get angry and be violent, but when they are raised in a loving environment they are naturally sweet and kindhearted. Little Angada is just trying to experiment with new foods and flavors. It always looks like a fun be place to hang out in

    • This is a proof that not all chimps are violent as portrayed in the media. Just like humans. A few are aggressive most are not. I just hate when people pick out freak incidents and put all chimps into that box.

    • Lol yeah, they are the closest living primate to us, but they have a very viscous and savage side as well [they will kill and eat fellow babies or other tribes young if they go into their territory], regularly hunt monkeys, and will even have full on coordinated wars on other tribes and such

    • adult chimps is cognitively on same level as human toddler they are just around 2 times stronger than adult human male. so you have a toddler that can kill you with its hands smiling in primates usually isnt same meaning as in humans. what humans usually interpret as smiling in chimpanzees is usually show of fear in chimps. but they do laugh if you tickle them

    • Well they pretty much are they have a similar body, lifespan, Life development, social structure and communication as a human. The Great Apes are our cousins. The Wolf and Coyote are cousins yet no one would doubt that they are pretty similar if nor the same kind of animal. They do of course have their own differences just like us and our cousins.

  • If you notice, they always hand both brothers their food at the exact same time. This is because like children, Chimps can become quite envious of other Chimps. There was once a man who brought a Birthday cake to a Chimp before and the other Chimps ended breaking out of their enclosure and killing him because they were jealous. Chimps can be sweet but they can also get very aggressive. This family seems to know what they are doing and the Chimps seem very happy.
