The all new iPhone 15 design has slightly rounded edges, so it feels more nice when you put it into a 9$ off-brand case for the next 5 years!
Will not be compatible with off-brand cases, forcing you to carry it without a case and shattering it sooner, requiring you to buy a new one prematurely.. 😂🤣

To be fair, this video skips out the hardware ray tracing in the 15 pro. There will be native ports of the console versions of resident evil and assassins creed (the one coming out soon). I don’t really know what that means but it was the most exciting thing to me

The new iPhone has an "All-new" design! I look at it and it looks exactly the same as the previous one! Come on Apple, you can't keep trying to use that old trick! 😅😂 I love how they spun the intro of USB-C to the phone. They made it sound like it was their choice rather than something they were forced to do. Not like they had much of a choice but to spin it that way. Nicely done Apple. 👍🏾

the double pinch is new, it was a double hand clench before wasn't it?
It required users to enable touch assist which is a nightmare to navigate if all you want is a single hand gesture. This corrects that by baking it into the hardware and doesn’t require enabling assistive touch

Every time I watch these summaries I wonder why I sat through the whole thing. The Verge always captures all the more significant details (and, sadly, there weren't many in the last few keynotes which could have been press releases)
Agree this was better- I found myself a bit angry after hearing all the "bragging" about how environmentally friendly they are, knowing how difficult they make repairing their hardware.

Some of Apple products are also clearly made for customers to buy add-ons they dont need. The Airtag is the best example, Chipolo has managed to make the same product without the need for selling cases.

It's kinda infuriating that they've spent so much time talking about digital zoom and they're calling them separate lenses?? And why do the non pro phones only get usb 2.0?? It's 2023 not 2003. I'm still using a Samsung s10 and half the features they pointed out for these brand new phones are also available in my 4 and a half year old phone.. How is always on display a feature worth mentioning in 2023 for example? I was considering switching to iphone, but I'm not so sure anymore

I miss the days when iPhone announcements excited me. My iPhone 12 mini still works like a charm and I don’t see any reason to upgrade, especially when they stopped making minis. I’ll probably upgrade from 12 mini to a 13 mini next year when it’s like $400.
All of these features sound awesome until I realize I only use my phone for alarms/messaging/twitter/spotify/NYT crosswords 99.9% of the time

Thank you for your coverage of Apple's recent launch event. I currently own the iPhone 14 Pro, and the new iPhone 15 Pro/Max doesn't quite elicit that "wow" factor for me. Consequently, I've decided to stick with my current iPhone and won't be upgrading at this time. As for my Apple Watch Ultra 1, the updated version doesn't particularly impress me. While the double-tap feature may seem useful, it doesn't compel me to make the switch from version 1 to version 2 for just this minor enhancement. I had hoped to see the release of a new iPad mini, but unfortunately, that didn't materialize during the event. It's worth noting that Apple's stock has seen a decline of around 2%, suggesting that the market's reception of the product launch has been less than enthusiastic.

I love my mini. Wish they had released a 14 mini. I’ve had mine for a little over a year and a half and it gets hot and lags when I have multiple apps running ex maps, Spotify, and insta or texting
15 Pro Max is the lightest Pro Max ever in an iPhone, much than 13 mini in usability

Only storage doesn’t really cost much. So they did away with the 128gb version on the max just for the purpose of trying to say they didn’t raise the price.
They raised so much in India. Did you know the 15 Pro 128GB is 1634$? And the 15 Pro Max 256GB is 1936$? That’s a 63.5% increase in the Pro vs US price and a 61.4% in the Pro Max vs US price. Sure, iPhone has always been expensive but compared to previous year(already insane price), Apple increased the Pro’s price by 60.5$ and the Pro Max’s price by a whopping 121$ compared to previous 256GB 14 Pro Max.
