  • This is great to see Curtis getting some good rolling time with an elite jiu jitsu player who’s his own size. Not a lot in the heavyweight division

    • I'm thinking the skin on his ear(s) is either sensitive or wounded from rolling. Because the ear becomes so hard, the thin skin over it is quite prone to being damaged from rough textured materials (i.e. shorts, gi). Think something like carpet burn. Source: I have cauliflower ear.

  • When's Craig rolling with Curtis?

    @hunterharris2689@hunterharris26892 жыл бұрын
  • I'd pay to watch a video where those two do positional rolls from mount: reset after either escape to guard or submission (I'm non-athletic but similar size and I suck in mount escape so much, that I started to think that at lower belts mount escapes shown on youtube are effective only for lower weight classes. This has some scientific reason - weight scales with cube of height, whereas strength only with square, so mount escapes objectively are more difficult at higher weight classes)

    • @@kgill99 the key for googling is that the strength of a muscle is proportional to the area of its cross section (as opposed to the volume of the muscle), which in general is proportional to the height squared, whereas obviously weight is proportional to the volume, which is proportional to hright cubed. It's well explained in various popular science articles about why Gulliver's travels describes an impossible world.
