The Ideal ones are on clearance now at Lowes. Pretty good.
Picked one up last night for $15…seems pretty solid, especially at that price. Grabbed a few US made Ideal tools they had left as well 👍…and oddly some Knipex linesman’s for like $22 🤘

Very level headed review and comparison. Thanks. I am not a professional anything. I find myself using my torpedo level 80% of the time for projects around the house. I may grab one of these because those magnets can handy at times.
That screw is to prevent dogs in offsets bends. It is not quite used the way you explained. I’ve had the empire. Their vials are hard to read in low light. The magnets won’t fall out of the Klein. To me that’s worth the price.
Spot on comment. I have the klein torpedo and it has the strongest magnets ive found. Although I don't use it as a no dog. I have a specific no dog level
