I own a Mazda 626 Sedan in Prestige Silver colour, 1990 model ... bought brand new in Melbourne, Australia as a gift from my father for my 18th birthday. He paid $ 32,000 Australian dollars for it back then! It's now 32 years old, has done 500,000 kilometres and l continue to drive it daily. Has never failed me. Unbelievable car. I cannot part with it. My first and so far, only car ...!! People cant believe it.
@cleomaddiem35812 жыл бұрын
The 626 from that era was an amazing car, I have no idea if modern Mazda are as well made or not, I suspect that they are not because consumers today have no desire for the car to last that long, they would rather “recycle” the car after 10 years or so.

I can believe you, I have Mazda 323 2000 model, and yes it never left me on the road. Despite being a cheap and low-end car with a small engine, this car was and is extremely fun to drive in mountain turns with a balanced power-to-weight body. Japanese knows how to make good and reliable stuff.

Cool to see. I work in a Honda plant. Even though the processes are slightly varied, I know what's happening every step of the way. (Love my Mazda car btw 😄)
@garbonzobean1 Жыл бұрын
I worked in Marysville decades ago, left in 1998. But I took the Mazda factory tour in 2015 when I was on a trip to Hiroshima. The biggest difference I noticed was the flexible manufacturing at Mazda. At Honda, they build basically the same model in a plant, in lots of 60 - for example, 60 Accord EX sedans in the same color, same feature packages, all in a row. (I assume it’s pretty much the same today.) They added some model flexibility when they started building Acura models. At Mazda, I saw an MX-5, then a CX-9, then another model, one after the other. Seems less efficient on paper but then they don’t need the excess manufacturing capacity to build 3 models. Look at 22:22 and you’ll see what I mean. Different models and colors, one by one. You’ll never see Honda do that. P..S - I bought a used Accord EX V6 on my last day of work at Honda. It was a manager vehicle, with 60k, and was better than my other car was even when new. And almost 25 years later, I still miss being at Honda. Working there was the fulfillment of a dream to work at a Japanese transplant. While I went on to make more money elsewhere in automotive, part of me regrets leaving there.

I own a 2009 CX-9 Grand touring since brand new, now 133K miles. Two minor repairs over the past 12 years: (1) driver side door motor - replaced gear myself; (2) rear structs leaking oil - replaced by auto shop. Interior and exterior hold up very well. The car still runs like new. In contrast my wife's 2008 Acura TL developed couple of more serious mechanical and electronic issues way before 100K miles. The "leather" seats started to crack few years ago. Its interior looks like a 30 years old car. Mazda really put in quality stuff.

In 2004 I bought my first Japanese car ever. A Mazda 3 hatchback while I was living in Hawaii. Fast Forward to today with 104k miles I still have it, best car I have ever owned. Other than routine maintenance and a cracked gas pump retaining ring, no issues at all. Never failed to start, aircon is still working fine. And yes, it still has "Zoom Zoom."

Still the very best car I have ever owned. I've been considering getting a new Mazda CX 3 or 5. Would like a hybrid with better gas mileage. Unfortunately new car prices and dealer markups are making me rethink this. I could have my Mazda repainted the same color, new shocks and struts, 114k miles, and be tens of thousands of dollars ahead. Savings would buy a lot of gas.

I cannot part with it. My first and so far, only car ...!! People cant believe it.

20:11 I am glad that my Mazda was lovingly caressed before it left the factory

I own a 2009 CX-9 Grand touring since brand new, now 133K miles. Two minor repairs over the past 12 years: (1) driver side door motor - replaced gear myself; (2) rear structs leaking oil - replaced by auto shop. Interior and exterior hold up very well. The car still runs like new. In contrast my wife's 2008 Acura TL developed couple of more serious mechanical and electronic issues way before 100K miles. The "leather" seats started to crack few years ago. Its interior looks like a 30 years old car. Mazda really put in quality stuff.

Mazda is a small car manufacturer in Japan. I know the history of Mazda for almost 70 years in Japan. 30 years ago Mazda's cars depreciated so quickly. However, Mazda now makes very quality cars. when I opened the door of my 17 HB and saw that it was made in Japan. I 😁 with joy
the fact that my 2017 3 HB was 99 percent made in japan helped clench my decision to purchase the car. I absolutely love how much inspection occurs all down the line. And how much double checking the robots do of their position before they do their welding or putting body panels on. Thanks for the upload edit: Apparently my 3 HB was lovingly caressed by many japanese men.
I think Mazda3s are made in Hofu plant in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Hiroshima plant produces CX-3, CX-5, CX-8, CX-9, Miata, and Bongo truck. Hofu plant produces 2, 3, 6, and CX-30. Edit: I forgot that Hiroshima plant also produces Abarth 124 Spider. Hofu plant might producing CX-5s.
The 2014+ HB is unusual in that it's beautiful in every single color it's offered in. There is literally no bad color on that car. The 2019+ HB is odd in that it doesn't look great in pictures but is drop-dead gorgeous in person. Stand directly behind it and step back 8 to 10 feet for my favorite view of the vehicle.

Henry Ford would have a heart attack if he saw how far his plans for assembly line manufacturing has come. I’m almost done the show and I’ve seen less than twenty live people on the screen so far. Japan is amazing when it comes to putting together cars
The level of automation is amazing! I have a Soul Red Mazda CX-5 and I am quite proud and happy with it. So satisfying to watch this video!
The build quality of my 2020 cx-5 is excellent, now I see why. A friend had suggested I look at one, it wasn't originally on my list, very happy I did.
I own a 2019 CX-9. It was built in Japan. The car is flawless! Great car!
22:50 there are lots of great things I can say about my MX5 but the one that always surprises me is that it has the best headlights of any car I've ever driven, including other Mazdas. I don't know what is so different about them but they are truly amazing
Lincoln headlights are good too. They follow your steering wheel
Even though I was tired, I watched the entire video. Very impressive Mazda !
I just closed a deal for a 2021 CX-5 and I pick it up in a couple days. So excited!
Get it ceramic coated and wash it by hand. Mazda paint job is terrible. Also get it coated underneath.
@@Jonas19912 See Honda for crappy paint *and peeling clear coating.*
I leased one in July. I really like it but I find the seats to be a little too firm.
I have a 2017 CX5 (Red Soul) and a 2018 CX3 (Metallic Ceramic) both loaded GX's HUD equipped. Nice Economical and great handling. love the sport mode and the paddle shifting on my CX3 in manual mode.
it is amazing how my Mazda 3 skyactiv-x that was made almost entirely by machines can come out without a single vibration or annoyance or defect and work flawlessly in every way. Thanks Mazda!
Zelanie I have same car and should have bought Mazda’s years ago. It doesn’t even feel like you in a smallish car. It’s nippy. Fuel efficient. Popular
And when I saw the little white Mazda 3 came down the line--and then looked out in my garage and saw the same little car (one exactly like it anyway)....wow, it was amazing! It is incredible to watch something like this being built. A GREAT little car, by the way.
Why don’t they make the Mazda 6 sedan anymore for sale in the USA?
I had a mazda 6 2005 model. The car was amazing and loaded with features. The coolest thing is that they built the car such a way that is easy for upgradations and affordable spares.and a great fuel efficiency.
Nice video. I own a 2007 Mazda 3 and recently a new addition with a 2017 Mazda CX-9 Got to love the Zoom Zoom.
Forget Tokyo, Hiroshima is a beautiful city to visit. It’s got everything a big city in Japan has to offer with less crowd. The peace park with the A bomb Dome is something people have to visit once in there life.
Jason I lived there and found it quite depressing. To each their own though
This video was so soothing and stressful at the same time.
feels good to own a mazda now, i bought the mazda 3 hatchback 2020 and after seeing this video im glad its been professionaly made with love and care
I have a 2018 Mazda6 with 60,000 miles. Perfect... It is a pleasure to drive. I'm glad to see more Mazdas on the road and that more drivers have discovered Mazda.
Love my 2016 MX-5 Club ... aka Miata ! May they live on in history ! TY Mazda !
Best quality cars! Simply loving it
This is truly an amazing video! I recently purchased a 2020 MX-5 Miata RF GT and I absolutely love it, thank you Mazda
In 2020 Mazda ranked higher than Lexus here in America.
tell me about it. germany is feeling it too because mazda is slowly taking vw's place.
Mazda un America is made in Mexico.... Not necessary a bad thing
@Eugenio Fructuoso , I just bought a CX-5 and it’s made in Japan and over 90 percent of parts also originated in Japan.
Wild watching all those robotic arms building and painting the Mazda.
@@EugenioFructuoso Only a couple of cars made in Mexico, the Mazda2, Toyota Yaris, Mazda3, CX-30
Great cars! They keep climbing the reliability charts in several publications!
Proud Mazda Owner here bought my first car this Year, although it's only a second hand but i love it so much, btw it's mazda 3 2004 model, the interior is almost the same for the latest model of vios and honda, the interior still intact and beautiful.
It's interesting to see how physically fit the line workers appear to be. Mazda turns out great vehicles.
It's remarkable how few people are actually working here with so much of the production being done by robotics.

Tears of joy watching my 2020 CX9 on it's way home to me
I’ve had 2 Mazda in the past and love them both because they have souls. Definitely will buy Mazda again.
I have always owned Mazda cars since I was a teenager. I can tell you they are the best driving cars out there and the reliability is great.
Exciting to watch as my miata came from this factory 😁
My 2019 Mazda 3 hatchback was made in one of those factories. 😊
I am sure you have a very quality compact car of Mazda3 hatchback. Mine is 2014 model of the hatchback.
If the VIN starts with a "J" then yes.
Mine too. I checked the door when I got it.
Do they export this cars to europe and usa?
@@Lordosvk yup, US anyways. The sedan is mostly Mexican made though
My mom is still driving her 2010 cx9 touring. Still one of the nicest cars ever with the coolest features even in 2010.
Invoice says my 2014 Mazda 6 was made in February 2013 in Hofu, Japan. Japanese workers build quality products. This video is amazing!
¡MAZDAAAA! 👏🤩💓🛸💞😍🥳🚀 HAPPY 100 YEARS!
Oui mais vous n'êtes plus à Hawaii zoum zoum
@@hervedupont6955 All true Zoom Zooming in Southern California. Zoom Zoomed on a trip to Vancouver, British Colombia to include Oregon and Washington. And Zoom Zoomed on a few trips to Las Vegas.
Thank you very much for production sharing.
I'm a big fan of Japanese cars. They are excellently built. My Toyota Yaris was solid for many years, my rental was a Mazda CX-5 and I immediately fell in love with the interior design, the calm power and the well-thought-through dashboard. There is a lot of emotion going on when you drive a car like that. Now I drive a Honda Jazz/Fit and that one is fantastic too. REI!
I DRIVE A MAZDA, GREAT CAR.
Какая у тебя Мазда ?

2018 Mazda 3 Touring owner here from Australia.....Absolutely love my car ❤️❤️❤️
I toured the plant two years ago. The MX5 comes down the same line as the sport utilities. I thought that was cool. Also, fun to see the occasional Fiat 124 on the line. The engines for those come assembled from Italy, everything else is Mazda.
My 2010 Mazda 6 is still going strong likes new. Of course, I kept it maintained as scheduled. Good car to keep.
My '09 is going great and I'm still loving it. BTW, the 2nd Gen Mazda we are talking about were built in Flat Rock, MI, U.S.A.
Mate we're dailying a 2000 Familia.
We too, have a 2010 Mazda 6. Owned for over 9 years now...the longest ANY car has been in the fam. Got 239K on the clock and STILL gets down...😁

5 days ago, our 2009 mazda 6 TS2 timing chain broke. Complete write off ):
I had a 2010 Mazda 3, then I strayed to a Nissan Rogue and a VW GTI. Went back to a CX-5 and now finally the new 2021 Mazda 3 2.5 Turbo. It is a piece of beauty and power.
Amazing video. Incredible attention to detail.
Get to pick-up my 2021 CX-5 on Wednesday. Yahoo!!
congrats! waiting for my CX9
14 years ago, my wife traded her Miata (loved it but needed more room) for a Mazda SIX. We take care of it like it’s a Rolls Royce. It’s still shiny, it’s has had only two minor repairs and it still runs great. its a classic. We are retired and need only one vehicle so I sold my 11 year old Yukon also an excellent vehicle and we are trading the Mazda SIX for a Mazda CX-5. I will say, the new Mazda SIX signature is very impressive too!

I’m so excited. I literally pick my MaZda 5 up in the morning. 11-12/2020 ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Good for you Happy driving
The most gorgeous shade of red ever. When I see a CX-5 or a Miata with this shade of red I immediately turn to look at it.
Still drive my 2004 Mazda 3 2.3L 5 speed, got around 200,000k on her now but never had a problem and owned since new! thank you Mazda for doing such an amazing job!❤
Precision and meticulous manufacturing in Japan. The Japanese know how to make good stuff.
Its just incredible how innovation works! So proud of the intelligence of mankind!
the installation process was amazing
I have had 5 Mazdas. Two M5s 1 CX3 and now have a 2016 CX9 and a 2019 Mazda 3 HB premium manual trans. Years ago I had a Mazda 626. They are great quality cars that are fun to drive and a good deal.
My CX-30 was build here! Love the car! Keep it up Mazda! ;)

I just bought a 2021 Mazda6 GT Turbo in Soul Crystal Red and I'm absolutely in love with this car. Proud to own a Mazda especially after seeing this video.
Glad you got one because there wont be one in 2022.
Kudos to those workers; my 2019 Mx5 came through with zero defects. Not one single thing.
Same with my 2019 CX-5: zero defects!
My 1990 MX-5 had zero defects when it was 23 years old and had 250k on the clock. The only things that wrong were due to user stupidity
Same here my 2019 Mazda 3

Your comments are appreciated! I've CX-5 & LOVED IT! Prices are so reasonable for what the car is worth.
I think the Japanese cars have a better build quality then Audi, VW, Opel and BMW. Look at the reliability charts from UK, Netherlans, Germany, etc.
Love the video.. very inspiring. Happy to be owning a Mazda... a reliable sedan.
