Lou Ferrigno IS the Hulk and always will be 💪
No one will EVER match his portrayal in live action - all they have now is computer renditions - Lou was and is AMAZING !!!
Darn right. I have never been a fan of the CGI Hulks. They lack the depth of emotion and realism that Lou Ferrigno had.
Only thing bad about it was that ridiculous wig. They should have just colored Lou's natural hair.
@@xaviervega468 I'm telling Hulk you dissed his hair. Nice knowing you.
Always and forever.
The music and the build up before the change, excellent. Hard to believe at fifty something years young, this show still brings me so much joy. R.i.p Bill Bixby, you will never be forgotten.
45 years actually, it premiered in America in 1977 and in the UK in May 1978.

Yes I always loved this show and movie
@@thecelticdruid.6681 No...the TV movie was in 1977...the first year as a series was 1978
I’m 22, but I was raised with this series and the made for tv movies, and they are still the best depictions of Hulk. I like to go back every now and again and watch the movies and watch clips from the show, just to remind myself of how precious the show is. Bill Bixby and Lou introduced me to Hulk and have given me so many great memories. I truly fell in love with the character because of Bill and Lou’s portrayal. “Everybody’s gangsta until the hulk shows up” - random guy on YT comment section.
This was my Hulk growing up. I remember the premiere and how I never missed an episode as it was on Friday nights. I was a mere teenager when the show started. Well here I am in 2022 and have such fond memories of this show. I almost went full on fanboy meeting Mr. Lou Ferrigno at a charity event in California. I ran into him a few years later at a Comic-con and he remembered me. There was no one else except the two of us chatting, then suddenly everyone seemed curious as to who I was. I never forgot how much it made me feel like a celebrity. This was a special moment and I never forgot how gracious Mr. Ferrigno was.
That's an awesome story!
MR. Ferrigno is a true living legend that is super awesomes to have meet him rockk onn.
Quelle chance d avoir discuté avec lui.
Bill Bixby and Jonathan Harris were the two best tv actors in my opinion. Rest in peace to both of them.
and Jack Colvin
Poor McGee, sometimes he'd get so close, but the Hulk always got away! 👍👍
And he never got to discover his John Doe. I wish we could've seen him.
He must get paid good money to run behind somebody he'll never catch 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I thought he would have gave up by now
How ironic it's similar to the Fugitive the relentless FBI lieutenant would get soo close and Dr Kimble would get away. Dr Banner and Dr Kimble were both doctors on the run. Just that Dr Kimble caught up to the one-armed man that killed his wife. Dr Banner never found a cure that would make him normal again, nor he was able to prove his innocence. The creature was blamed for a murder that he didn't commit. Culprit for the fire in lab that was started by Jack Magee if he hadn't been snooping around.
And the thing is the Hulk saved his life from being killed by that kid and still chased him down calling him a murder!
@@underdog365 That's like Wile E. Coyote giving up chasing the Roadrunner; ain't gonna happen.
McGee telling Annie don’t worry about him, he’ll get away. Lol he should know!
i love the dramatic music that plays when hulk comes out lol
That fall.....made this a pretty brutal hulkout.
Love the way Hulk tore up the ring. Really Awesome Strength 💪🏿 👏🏿
Again, David saves the life of a man whose death would make his own life much simpler.
@Frederick Wells Maybe, but it was actually McGee who was to blame.
Twice. The other was during the Mystery Man 2 Parter. But David wanted to prove that neither he nor the Hulk was a monster.

The Hulk saved McGee's life serval times in the series and still called him a murder by trying to chase him down and capturing him.
@@norfolksouthernrailfan2006 Jack chose personal acclaim (if he succeeded in capturing the Hulk he'd become a more respected reporter) over his morals.
The way David hit those chairs..OUCH!!! Man, I hope that stuntman was alright, lol
This was a touching episode because it shows how much David's life is in complete shambles and how this episode was a way to reconcile both Bill and his ex wife Brenda. Unfortunately they would lose their son and Brenda would taking her own life. Bill was never the same.
Thanks For Sharing This Info With Us JR!Poor Bill Bixby RIP 🙏 🕊 ☮ 😌 ☹️ 😔!
It's a bit eerie when you think about it.
I remember reading that somewhere. Bixby had such a tragic life.
I've met Lou at 2 different comicons. One of the nicest guys AND still as big as he was on this show. Both my sons and I got a pic with him...man he's HUGE! He had a Q&A at the second con we went to. He talked about a LOT of stuff dealing with his personal life. He talked about Bill, Arnold S. and even Michael Jackson. Very open about his life.
One thing Lou is rightly proud about is he's the only person that played The Hulk without CGI.
One thing I just realized, in this episode, notice how usually the Hulk just grabs, and throws the person who hurt David and caused the transformation, I wonder if they had the character this episode hold back cause he was a teenager, and yes still capable of hurting someone, instead didnt directly hurt him.
in this episode, the Hulk was accused of assaulting and killing the teen from that gang called the Renegades. So maybe that's one reason he held back.
Oh yeah I've never thought about that before, he didnt throw those kids from "The First" either. I think the Hulk throwing children/teenagers would've ended up being pretty controversial.
@@jeremyknight9980 wait a minute, actually he did TOSS one of those guys, into the toolshed.
One of my favorite Hulkouts, lou looked awesome as The Hulk.
I!Agree With You About This One Of LouFerrigno Looks Great 👍 👌 😀 👏 😍 😄 👍 👌 😀 👏 😍 😄!And As!TheInceridbibleHulk!
Right??? His arms shoulders and traps look phenomenal!
@Matthew Hansen:And his massive chest. Lou is a massive beast. Always liked watching him flex and hulk out
I completely agree with you. You could tell in some episodes that the constant, long, and sometimes stressful shooting schedules got to Lou Ferrigno. There are a few episodes where his muscles weren’t as large or defined and that was probably due to not being able to workout as much when they had some long and hectic filming schedules to adhere to. But that definitely wasn’t the case in this episode. Lou Ferrigno looked absolutely monstrous in this episode.
@Arch Angel 👍👍💪💪 they are definitely monstrous in this episode. Shoulders (Traps) chest and arms massive
Great acting by all. Musical rendition is perfect. Lou saved his life eh.
As Arnold is perfect for Conan, there's no denying Lou as The Hulk! I was so surprised when I was a kid that the series was a bit profound. It parallels The Immortal with Christopher George. Always on the run...
I'm surprised McGee was still stubborn after what he saw between The Hulk and the lady who knew who the Hulk was!
Lou looked his best in season 3 btw.. jacked like never b4
Agreed. In the first season he was more cut from competition and looked great, but season 3 he was way thicker and hulkier. His best look.
@J Butler I always like watching ha shirt rip from flexing his massive muscles also liked watching him flex and hulk out right after the transformation
My favorite TV show of all time and still is
I've been a big fan of Lou Ferrigno, whoever plays Bruce Banner on TV and on the big screen, it's always Lou Ferrigno doing the voice Eric Bana played Bruce Banner in Hulk (2003) Edward Norton played Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk (2008) Mark Ruffalo played Bruce Banner in the MCU movies (2012 - present)
I love it all to this day. Brings back so many good childhood memories. When I listen to the music it really makes me emotional as Bill Bixby and Jack Colvin are both gone. R.I.P. to the both of them. They're up there with both of my parents 😇. Lou Ferrigno is still alive and strong today 💪. As I was growing up my mother made us fish every Friday and then I would watch the Hulk, after that would be The Dukes of Hazzard 😂🤣🤣
The strings, the seventies feel, my childhood
Not in this scene, but before: David Banner while on the side of a building. "This is'nt a suicide, it's an execution." This show was moving on some many levels while also entertaining.
Bill Bixby passed away so young, only 59 years old. TIH was canceled in '82, and he passed in '93. I enjoyed this show so much as a kid and watched the re-runs on SciFi over 20 years ago. This brings me back. Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno were the perfect choices for their characters.
I used to watch it when I was a teenager in the 1970s. One of my favorite TV shows😀😀😀.
always love this part 3:51!! here he comes!!!!
Love to see Lou in more hulk movies
Has to be hands down one of my favorites, and often wondered why David didn’t just hold on to the side as he transformed. Give the kid something to really be scared of. Kid thought he was badass and gonna kill David, and Mr Magee, big time error.
My theory as to the reason why David didn’t hold onto the side is because the surge of the transformation was so overwhelming that he couldn’t maintain his grip, hence why he plummeted to the ground.
Ahhhhhh. The memories. That took place at The Grand Olympic Auditorium. Back in the 1970s. Hulk broke the ring posts. Back than when I was a little boy. I do remember that ring. For both boxing and pro wrestling. Great memories. Now it's a Korean Christian Church. On Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles.
Beautiful.r.i.p Bill bixby.
With as much flak as I give Season Three, this episode was a major highlight. In the second half of Season Three, few exciting concepts were adopted, but this was definitely one. It was the mother of a family of intriguing ideas, and we saw her massive offspring in Season Four. If you're going to watch one episode of this entire season, this is the one to watch.
I thought season 3 was good tbh and I feel the show started dropping in quality late season 4 after The First.
I should add though I still enjoyed all the way through despite that
6:12 was cool when she touched Hulk's arm and saw David's face and knew it was him.
The Hulk was always so cute , Love you Lou😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 TO That One 😀 😋 👌 😄 👍 ♥ 😀 😋 👌 😄 👍 ♥!GREAT SINCE OF HUMOR AND HE Is So MUSCULAR 🔥 👌 😋 😍 😀 👍 🔥 👌 😋 😍 😀 👍 TOO!
Every time Jack McGee is,close to getting David uncovered, some villain always gets in his way unknowingly saving David in the process.
Johnny was looking at a long prison sentence. Justice was served.
Jack McGee should've had the police nearby when he decided to interview the boy who was a friend of Robbie, the boy thought to have been killed by the Hulk, but McGee got surprised when Johnny had admitted that he did it by mistake. Good thing that David turned into the Hulk to save McGee after Johnny shot him in the head for trying to stop him.
The best Series ever when i was growing up 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Well, guess just like Hogan, that Hulk doesn't like to do a job in the ring either, though he did do a job ON the ring. 😉😂🤣 Couldn't resist.
Love this version.
Mcgee inadvertently clearing the hulk by getting the little punk to comfess is awesome
I'll never forget this episode of the Hulk especially how muscular Lou Ferrigno was. He was the true Hulk and it's sad that The Avengers didn't exist in television. Until years later when they'd appear in movies. The kid made his mistake by shooting at the Hulk. It turns out he wasn't soo big after all he couldn't reload his gun because he was paralyzed with fear.
Avengers wouldn't have worked back then. Could you imagine how corny Iron Man would have looked? Plus it would have taken away from the Hulk's personal stories, which were excellent.
@@xaviervega468 in one made for TV Movie in 1988 Thor did appear in a Hulk movie and was big and muscular. Of course he sided with Hulk and since Dr Banner was living with some woman. The bad guys caused trouble for them and Thor saw what happened and told Hulk, Hey...they're stealing your woman! Hulk and Thor went after those guys. Another made for TV movie in 1990 I think it was called, The Death of The Incredible Hulk Dare Devil made an appearance. He was already blind when he met Dr Banner. They didn't look much like the way Marvel Superheroes look in today's movies. Of course those super heroes weren't considered much for TV roles. Before the Hulk appeared on TV Spiderman had a short series in the 70's that didn't last a complete season. Of course things were done differently in the 70's.
@@joegongora2200 While it was fun that they brought in Thor, he was objectively very cheesy. He didn't work live action nearly as well as the Hulk.
What I like about the Hulk is how the writers show t he still human side of the Hulk because he could have really ripped that kid to shreds instead of just bringing the ring post and ropes down on him.
i love this show
McGee is actually defending the Hulk
Those corner ring posts are heavy! Once all four corners have the turnbuckles tightened, you would need superhuman strength to pull one hard enough to collapse the ring!
NOBODY SHOOTS HULK NOW HULK SMASH
🙂🙃😁🤣" Happy Grassween "🙂😘🤪😇
That kid thought he was a badass until he saw the Hulk!
Oh!Yeah!
Hey Hulk! Show some respect for the squared circle!! 🤣🤣
The woman David Banner is talking to was Bill Bixby's wife in real life...her name was Brenda Benet
What irony.David is about to kill himself to protect everyone from the Hulk then the Psychic talks him out of it because Magee the man who is after him may be killed.
I like to hear the Music Score of this scene, PARTICULARLY THE PIANO KEYS!!! (2:12-6:55)
Never attack the Hulk, because the Hulk will attack you back!
That fall for the stuntman was brutal stunt or no stunt
Damn man rip bill Ima miss these series
This is probably my favorite hulk out on the show... or atleast top 5... that music is str8 🔥 b4 the Hulk out.. id love to find it somehow... Plus this episode was the very 1st one I recorded off tv onto vhs- 5 yrs old... hulk was in syndication by then
I know, it's so annoying that they never released soundtracks for all the episodes, especially this one.
Not all episodes, but there are soundtracks available.
They reused this score for either 9 Hours or On the Line. It is fabulous indeed.
Nostalgia
That "pop gun" packs a PUNCH.
That woman was Bill Bixby's wife. They had a child who passed away later after the divorce.
Really !!! Bill Bixby's personal life was quite tragic first his son then his ex-wife but I hope latter years he was fine
@@stayingalivewithsaad5351 he later. Remarried but your right it was quite tragic for him to go through
@Frederick Wells damn talk about the the bad luck . Lonely Man REALLY did fit Bixby's life.
Hulk goes from nice guy to roar power of gorilla
I think that kid played in that movie The Warriors. He was the one who was in the RIFFS gang.
Karma time!
This is so much better than all this CGI garbage these days.....
This is another clip from The Psychic!
De chico miraba todos los capítulos del increíble hulk
David couldnt hold onto the side of the balcony because i believe once the transformation begins he loses all mental capacity he cant even speak once the transformation begins in some episodes
we need season 1 episode 1 pls
ALL CAPS...THE MUSIC FROM ABOUT 5:25 TO 6:30 IS REMARAKABLE. And it goes into music from the Married episode. Does that exist?? I have some Hulk music, but this one...does it exist???
This guy walked so Bruce banner could run with smart jull
Smart hulk
Hey Lou we have a few extra minutes left in the show can you go tare some stuff up.😅
The ring looks like the one used in The Final Round
Kenneth Johnson told me once that if the hulk had not been canceled, the whole McGee / Banner storyline would have been resolved in the final episode, which likely would have involved a court case. Too bad it never played out. Johnson was not involved in the three reunion movies that came later, which explains why it wasn't resolved then either. Again, too bad...
However McGee appeared in the first reunion movie but after that he was gone and didn't appear in the other 2 movies.
That's the funniest looking gun I've ever seen in my life the AR-15 has nothing on that thing.
2:29 they could've done a better job on the voice dub. Include the echo in the recording that matched the one folllwing Jack's dialogue.
robbie is till Bremen
My grandma put me on to this as a kid.I liked how Bruce would get put in crazy situations on here
Did banner’s boot busted in this second hulkout or they just showed his pants leg ripping?
What on earth was that 'gun'? LOL
This is from the episode The Psychic.
At the beginning, is that Leif Garrett from CHiP’s?
Is this arena the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles ?
yes
Jack! Long time no see.
3:47 Ouch
I love how Universal saved money by hiring two trained, veteran actors with Bill Bixby and Jack Colvin and then usually cheapened out with guest actors who thought they were in a high school play. Cheesy, but great classic TV!
What kind of gun is that?
the lady in this episode was Bill Bixby's Wife at the time. they did this episode together for their young son who wanted to see his parents act together in a episode.............Sadly their son died in a drowning accident and his wife later killed herself over grief of the loss of their son and her troubled marriage with Bill Bixby..............there is one episode of the Incredible Hulk where Bill Bixby is not in the episode instead it focus on Jack McGee and his reasons for haunting the Hulk down.........I believe the reason Bill Bixby was not in the episode was do to the death of his son....or his EX-wife.
Always only be one Hulk and that is Lou ferrigno.
"Never Attack The Hulk"... generally good advice.
Is that a gun or a slingshot or both?
What kind of gun that kid is using?
Vorrei un mega abbraccio super musocloso virtuale fortissimo posso
Was Bill Bixby wife in real life Brenda Benet.
Yes That's True 👍 😄 😌 😀 😊 ☺ 👍 😄 😌 😀 😊 ☺!
OOH OOH YEAH MY PARENTS AND KANE AND KEKE OUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS REMEMBER HIM
Why can't they make TV like this anymore
Never attack the Hulk unless you’re Chuck Norris.
It’s almost like when Magee says don’t worry about him, he’ll get away, Magee knows the Hulk is really a good person at his core, even if he didn’t know it was actually David. Seems like he just wants to tell people the true story rather than make up drama about the Hulk. I think he feels the Hulk kills because he doesn’t know the truth yet and if he ever got that chance, he’d probably understand and change his opinion.
Bill and Lou were the best in this show….esp bill….
Lol police always arrive late..
