I was most confused abt the circular ring at bottom on rocket. Now i understand its to control the solid stage.

    • @@OrangeDurito The big Shroud which is covering the bottom nozzle attached to solid feul vessel. what is it called?? I have never seen such shroud in any other rocket in world. He explained that it is to control the solid stage

      @GuzzarAwan@GuzzarAwan3 ай бұрын
    • @@GuzzarAwan Ok I went through that part again, are you asking about the blue shroud? If yes, then that’s an engine skirt which will house the actuators for TVC. It will also have LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) which is used for measuring displacement through which they can command the actuators for precise control. In the flexi-seal demo so far, the TVC actuators are attached to a fixed test platform but when installed on the rocket, they will be attached to the blue shroud. Hope this helps.

      @OrangeDurito@OrangeDurito3 ай бұрын
    • @@OrangeDurito Haan bhai wahi bol rhaa tha. That blue shroud or engine skirt. I know the mechanism which he told. As i have worked with LVDT and actuators too. Its well known that solid engines can't be controlled. But they have used quite innovative method. I m also a mechanical engineer.

      @GuzzarAwan@GuzzarAwan3 ай бұрын
    • @@GuzzarAwan Aisa nahi hai ki solid rocket motors cannot be “controlled”. Once ignited, they cannot be shut off and reignited like liquid-fueled engines but their thrust vector can definitely be controlled. Even their thrust curve can be shaped to an extent using appropriate grain geometry. Plus they can also be throttled externally to an extent by impinging on the thrust plume. Joey B did that on Scout F using ceramic tabs/paddles, albeit on a model scale. So, in this case, they are using the first two control methods for rocket guidance.

  • this is really imp. aerospace industry of india is very poor . there are only some companies like ISRO,NAL,HAL,AIRBUS,BOEING but its super hard to get in these also apart from these companies there is no aerospace company in india . the impact is even if a student has passion in aerospace engineering he/she is forced to opt cse or some other branch because there arent much career opportunities . companies like skyroot can create a lot more jobs and revive this industry . one of the reason less aerospace companies are establishing in india is because there arent much skilled aerospace engineer here but again the reason there arent much of aerospace engineers is less career oppertunities . its like a cycle
