Aaron Rodgers plans to play vs. Vikings
He pulled off one of the more improbable wins in Packers and NFL history on Sunday night. After being down 20-3 in the third quarter, Rodgers threw three touchdown passes to lead the Packers over the Chicago Bears to kick off the team's 100th season. But what made it so historic was he played on an injured left knee. So now the question is will Rodgers play on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings?
"I plan on playing," Rodgers said in his press conference after the game.
As soon as the game was over, Rodgers told Michelle Tafoya of NBC Sports "I'm playing next week." So he backed off a little bit during his press conference as he admitted to having some swelling in the knee. Rodgers also said the injured knee is the same knee that he had surgery on after the 2015 season and the same knee he suffered a torn ACL in high school. Rodgers did wear a protective sleeve while playing and he will undergo tests on the knee on Monday.
