Dropped 3 times? it was more like 6 or 7 had Garcia not had to fight the referee, judges and Devin.
Yeah I had a punt on ryan getting the KO because it was like 9/1 so I was gutted when he didn't get the stoppage which he probably could of got if the ref wasn't giving Haney time to recover and letting Haney just hold constantly and not counting knockdowns either

He doesn't deserve it but he holds that WBC strap on a technicality after getting destroyed. I think a catch-weight rematch for the strap and then Ryan vs Tank 2 at a catch-weight. And no ridiculous rehydration clauses that had Ryan coming in looking like a skeleton would be good to see.

If they can't/won't then strip Haney the paper champ (champ in name and nothing else). Then give Ryan a WBC title shot at the weight of his choice.

If you want to fight for a title at a stipulated weight.. Then turn up at that weight and fight. Guy just turns up overweight, hasn't drained himself to make the weight as haney did and we celebrate him for his performance. Yes he did well, but if you want the respect you think you deserve then fight people at the weight you said you would. The referee and the judge who called it a draw need to be removed from Prime time boxing events.
The fact he was almost 4lbs heavier (almost a different weight class) and not being drained like Haney clearly was. Clearly this had an impact.

Ryan is a wild character with erratic behaviour who has historically suffered mental health battles… That’s no act. He has commented in previous interviews that when he’s in the ring that’s his ‘calm’. Brilliantly entertaining and big congrats to the Garcia family. Shocked the world and showcased what a talent you are despite the struggles. 👍🏽

Did the 3lbs extra make a big difference I believe it did .. because that meant Garcia was fully hydrated and on the night of the fight he looked huge in the ring ,but I’m not taking anything away from Garcia,s Performance on the night he did the business 🥊🥊

Hilarious how Simon thinks his input on boxing has weight to it. Hes been a spectator at a few big events because he could afford a ticket. Than doesn’t qualify him to be some kind of analyst or pundit. He just comes out with regurgitated information. Hearn put him firmly in his place. Dan Raffaele, Spencer Fearon etc are proper boxing historians who are worth listening to.

Haney is the biggest hype job in recent times. Protected massively by Eddie Hearn. Fought mainly shot to bits fighters and pillow fist like Kambosos. But against prime heavy handed opponents, of which he's fought none, he'll always be extremely vulnerable. Garcia, by his own admission, wasn't in good conditions for this fight, and put his trainers through hell, but he still battered a glass jawed Haney.
Reflecting of the fight it now almost seems that Garcia not making weight was not a careless indifferent attitude and that he actually purposefully went in heavy in order to properly batter the chops off Haney with even heavier shots and more punch resistance compared to had he made weight.
Haney always has a moment in a fight where you think his been hurt or rocked. His always susceptible to a shot at some point during the fight. That is his weakness and Ryan took advantage

What a performance from Ryan, absolutely destroyed Haney. The ref was ruining the fight too and clearly favouring Haney, so I'm glad Ryan didn't get robbed in the end. All those boxing experts and haters talking BS before the fight about Ryan, when Ryan was just acting, are now looking like fools. That will be one of the best fights of the year for sure. Hopefully Ryan doesn't give Haney a rematch, just like Haney didn't give Loma a rematch.

Look, anyone who knows boxing would have seen that this fight should never have taken place once Garcia missed weight. Haneys team were too busy thinking of the revenue of the fight to see that there man was out matched in size. That size difference showed big time in punch power. Remember Haney made $1.75m just for the overweight. That weight cost him the fight. The fight was pure bull and again made a mockery of boxing's rules and regulations. This was an instagram fight and nothing more.
