  • Moon Mountain and Heaven’s Gate. I walked up those steps 10 years ago and was absolutely knackered by the time I reached the top. But the view, with the surrounding mountains shrouded in mist, was well worth it.

    • Land Rovers have something called terrain control. Manages braking and torque delivery so it will just crawl down gently even with no driver input. Like it locks the speed.

    • You don't need "stones" to do this. All it takes is moderate driving skill. Worst case scenario is you can't do it, so the car stops, and you either wait inside as it's slowly lowered using the cables it's secured with, or you just get out of the car and walk down. It's a flight of stairs, not a death trap.
