2:30 The face of defeat and acceptance.
I just bought the equigroomer for my cats and we love it! Even the cats that wouldn't let me groom them love it and the FUR that comes off them is amazing.
Yes! That drool would gross me out so bad! But he was SO handsome.❤
Is she using the 5 inch one?
Don't worry, Bodie. I also do questionable things for treats.
😂😂😂
Lmao You win the internet for today
Would you like some candy? ;)
😂🤣
😂😂😂😂
He's the kind of truck that just backs onto your lap when you are sitting on the couch.
**Beep** **Beep**
@@LibbathegreatI came to drop this comment, so thank you for your service 😂
Ditto. Hilarious, Jordo!
A truck with no 'backing up' warning alarm
Yep😂
Bodhi has bypassed "Big Chonker" and has gone straight to "small brown Hippo". But my gosh, he is adorable!
imo he is a bit overweight, no waist LOL. But still handsome and obviously loves treats !
This really tickled me for some reason, holly molly
The first year my husband and I were dating, we got a bull mastiff lab cross, and he was the best dog I will probably ever own. He was scared of everything, but when we had kids he took to them instantly. He would nanny them as infants and eventually became one of our son's therapy dogs. He naturally knew how to help my son, and would know before we did if he was sick. We lost him to cancer at 11, he had a terrible time recovering from the first removal surgery so when it came back we decided not to put him through it. A king of dogs. And yes, he was afraid of baths.
I honestly can’t take the drool, but that FACE 🥰. I love large breeds and he was so good for his groom.
You are wise! When my basset hound wo7ld drool, he would shake. I woul have to peel the dried drool off the walls like icky paint!
From a guy that had one for 14 years you just give up to it, when you go out and just before you do they droll on you,and later someone asks you about it, you just say I was mobbed by a very friendly horse that drooled on me LOL.
@@wisecoconut5 that sounds gross! And I'd hate to have that drool on my furniture, on my clothes, or on my face! I'll stick with plush toys.
I could not own a drooly dog either, but he is a beauty!
Same! He’s so cute but hell no to the drooling. My mother in law has a big dog that drools like that, and they’ve small towels all over the house to wipe his face. Your clothes is still covered when you leave. No thank you.
Bodhi: "I'd rather face an armed intruder at home than a groomer... don't you see the size of her spray nozzle?!"😵🥴
Oh so much ♡Thanks♡ for that delicious "Bhodi quote" ♡!!♡!!
😂😂😂
MOOOOOOOOMMMM SHE SCAWY
"I fear no man. But that thing - it scares me."
@@c99kfm hahahahahah tf2 hell yea
Bohdi looks like what bulldogs used to look like, and it's majestic. He is also a big lovable baby that did his very best to be a good boy, and I am proud of him! 😘
He is obese too
He wearing the pink happy hoodie and being cuddled by you during the blowdrier was so heart warming ❤ what a sweetheart
One of my neighbours had a Bull Mastiff called Bruno. He was such a sweetie but kept jumping over the fence to get to our side. Trouble was our garden was lower than theirs so he couldn't get back over. Lost count of the number of times I had to lead him back round the front to let him back in through the gate. He never gave me any trouble, just wanted to say hello :)
What a friendly neighbor!😊
I love that!! 🧡
Bless your heart ❤ dear lady x
You can’t talk about him!
When I was a paper carrier, I feared the smaller dogs. The bigger dogs were the biggest babies and were glad for the attention.
The difference being if a small dogs decides to attack you it's chicken scratches compared to a big dog, or worse, a pitbull, which could literally kill you 🤷♀️
@@sadie9728 But the odds of being attacked heavily leans in favour of the small dogs. Small dogs don't seem to get trained like most big dogs do.
Accurate
I feel the same way!! I don’t trust small dogs!
@vellathewench tell that to the kid in Edmonton dead from two big dogs living with his dad and roommates....bad training occurs in all sizes...worse when it's a big guard breed.
The POWERFUL, the BRAVE, the FEARFUL OF THE FLOOR,
ADORABLE ! They don't drool.. they just leak love!
Aww buddy. He seems so sweet even though he was scared too. Truly a gentle giant.
lol I had a mastiff/bull mastiff they were over bred and they've lost all aggression because of it and they're terrified of everything like my dude was scared of his own shadow
@@causewhynot6485tbh the smaller dog the more condensed the Wolf inside. It’s why chis and poms are tiny terrors
@@zathtanks I saw a Corgi chase off a Great Dane. We all laughed, and the corgi came strutting back to us. Then he got jumped by a tiny Shit Tsu! We laughed so hard we ended up rolling on the grass!
I thought he looked apprehensive at first, rather than scared. He settled down quite quickly. A magnificent, well behaved young fella.
What a pleasant lunk-head he was for his groom! Kinda beautiful
This is the most adorable brick I have ever seen in my life.
He's the cutest rectangle
More like a house than a brick
thanks for the ‘gut’ laugh by defining Brodie as a ‘brick’ -😂
correction: ‘Bodhi’ 😄
I think that’s the perfect description. lol.
I have always adored bullmastiffs! When I was a little, the privately owned Nursery School had one who would hang out on the playground. Tuffy let the preschoolers climb all over her while she laid down and let them basically maul her, while she gently thumped her tail blissfully. Best nanny ever!
Yes, that is them. lol
Bodhi's the bestest boi! 👏👏👏 To his owners for treating him so well, it definitely shows in his behavior. They've put a lot of work into making sure he has the best life he can. ❤️❤️❤️
The bright pink happy hoodie is sending me. 😂
Yes! He looked like a lil ole W.V (West Virginia) grandma! Sweet!
the contrast between the bright pink happy hoodie and that poor sad face has me rolling. bless this big boy's heart
Bodie: "I can't see pink, but I know I got my hair back, check muh nails, baby how you work it"
Me too.
Yeah the pink hoodie and the squished cheeks 😭😭😭 such a cutie
Mastiffs are amazing dogs. We rescued a Shepherd/Mastiff mix. At 125 pounds, he was intimidating, but my granddaughter was the apple of his eye. Extremely gentle, but as you said, beware if appear as a threat. Best dog ever. RIP Ringo ❤
We rescued an English Lab/Mastiff mix who loved everyone and everything (and would pout like a child if someone didn't pay attention to him), but was very watchful. There's not a doubt in my mind that he would deliver a can of whoopa$$ to anyone who he perceived was threatening me.
@@parkerbrown-nesbit1747Always gotta watch out for the happy go-lucky ones. When they get pissed you know shit is about to get real.
@@TheGreatThicc I was talking with my next door neighbour, and her daughter, who is autistic, was also out in the yard. This guy comes from the walking trail that's at that end of our driveway. Lars I'm moved to put himself between the guy and us (without a command from me). He watched him until he was well past us, then immediately came to my side. No barks, no growls. He regularly terrified solicitors (he'd stick his head out the door). I'm surprised that none of them fell off the porch, they'd back up so quickly.
I love other people's mastiffs. The owners always seem surprised when I'm eager to pat them, I guess since I'm a fairly small person so they expect me to be intimidated, but I adore their big block heads and the way they just lumber around. Can't handle the drool though and I think it would be potentially unsafe to have a dog I have no hope of ever being able to physically control if needed (I'm disabled as well and live alone so no backup from someone else).
My mastiff/ pitbull was the same way. He was the sweetest thing he loved everyone. My 1½ year old nephew would climb all over him and he was always so calm and so happy to be used as a jungle gym
A friend of mine had a bullmastiff. He was the smartest, most friendly dog that I think that I have ever met. He was great with children. Unfortunately, their lifespan is shorter than smaller dogs.
This is not a shill, just letting you and your viewers know that the Equigroomer is FANTASTIC. I hadn't even heard of them until I watched this channel, and I even have horses! So I ordered them from the GWTD website, one for each horse. I am thrilled with how well they are pulling the winter coats out, and the horses absolutely love how they feel and just stop whatever they're doing so I can groom them. Thanks for turning me on to these!
I’m dying… the pink happy hoodie on that giant beast is everything.
🤣🤣🤣
"And he's shedding enough fur to make a second Bodie." My gawd, that's a LOT of fur, lol. What a sweet, sweet puppy. ❤
Right? I would have not thought a shorthair could shed so much. Shows you what I know about dogs.
It's because they have no undercoat so it can just fall right off once the hairs get the max length. Why pits shed a lot too.
Bodhi was clearly scared of the Water Nozzle of Doom, but he accepted his grooming like a trouper. ♥ What a sweet - albeit huge! - dog!
No one has said it so I will. He is an ABSOLUTE UNIT!😂
He a THICC boy
a bit too thicc. lol
True
I just got two bullmastiff puppies this past weekend, gonna be getting them professionally groomed as soon as they're old enough!
That is a GREAT decision! Early training is essential for both you and the dog. Your life will be better for it.
I would suggest you start working on them NOW, so they are used to you messing with their feet, ears, teeth etc. My brother had a St Bernard/Collie mix that was 130 lbs of massive when he finished growing. But thanks to his early training, any of their 3 young kids could trim, brush, clean him up as needed, without a problem, although my youngest nephew did like to lay on Bullitt to brush those teeth (avoid the drool). Best wishes with your two.
I used to dog sit 5 Mastiffs. Lovely big smelly dogs. Every time they shook their heads the drool went everywhere. The kitchen cupboard lower doors were vulnerable. Prepare now for a dogs life of cleaning. Lovely dogs tho.
Don't envy your food bill...
Start right away with the bathing and nail trimming and tooth cleaning.
Bodhi is just a BIG BABY, I love him so much! ❤He is so sweet-natured, gentle and what a drool master!
He is an absolute UNIT! Such a good boy.
He didn't know quite was was going on....... but if there were treats involved he didn't mind too much. A very handsome chap.
Our friends had two bullmastiffs - the kindest souls imaginable. Very social, to the point that the male would sometimes lie on top of a person rather than in the footend of the bed if someone left a door open. He was gargantuan - quite a challenge to move. And the drool flying everywhere when trying to move him I miss those beasts
I had to share this with my folks since I grew up with Bullmastiffs. We all agree that Bodhi is huge and perfect and beautiful.
I loved seeing that big ole doggie wearing a pink happy hoodie. What a cutie!
Just a gigantic sweetheart.
"Don't be scared of the floor" 😂😂 You are just amazing! Love watching your videos 🥰
I have owned and co-owned up to 10 show dogs. My all-time favorite was my Bullmastiff. A gentle giant with a head as big as a cinder block. The sweetest ever.
and the cutest puppies.
I had a Bodi, a beautiful fox red Lab I rescued. A wonderful pup who had a lot of fears but was always willing to them. This Bodhi did the name proud not only in cuteness but courage.
Speaking of fear, I am super afraid of dogs and while I don't know if I'm ready to dive face first into surrounding myself with them, watching your videos has helped me understand their body language a lot better which has helped ease the fear a little. Usually I live in a nightmare when I leave my house because everyone lets their giant dogs roam off leash and I don't know what to do around them ever AND I'm afraid so I just stay inside all the time. But I think I'm a little less terrified than before. It also doesn't hurt to see this guy who could probably kill me with a single tackle being more terrified of getting into the bath than I am of him
Same here..
Don't worry, this is much more accurate to how successful exposure therapy works than just diving in face first. When done right it starts with looking at pictures and then videos of the thing you're scared of and moving fairly slowly. NOT some asshole going "oh, you're scared of spiders? here's my tarantula!!!" So entirely accidentally you're doing it right. Unfortunately it sounds like most of the dog owners in your area aren't very responsible but if you can find one who is then one day when you're more ready you could try meeting their dog in a supervised situation, but that's up to you and only if you're comfortable with the idea. Learning about dog body language is a good idea either way though since it's often easier to be scared of things that are incomprehensible and being able to tell the difference between an aggressive and a friendly dog removes a lot of unpredictability.
Did you have a bad experience with dogs at some point? 🥺
@vanessa1569 Yeah there were a couple times when I almost got attacked as a kid. Thankfully there were adults who were able to keep me from getting really hurt, so I know it's probably a lame fear but for whatever reason I still get really anxious around dogs
@@rocketpsyence it’s not lame, it’s understandable but very unfortunate. I hope you have an experience that gives you a radically different view - as you’ve pointed out this channel is doing that. Good luck 🙂
God I love this channel. It is literally impossible for me to avoid clicking on these videos.
fun fact... my mum used to be a cleaner at a large house who had a female BM called millie. she was gorgeous but wow betide me stepping on the property without my mum reassuring her i was safe . she loved my mum as much as her owners
Bodie is such a good boy!! Thought the short coat would be a breeze, but could hardly believe my eyes at the amount of coat that came off of him. As always, thank you for sharing your expert handling of unsure animals❤.
Having a large dog, sometimes they are truly more afraid of you. This dog was so good, and beautiful!
I had Great Pyrenees-they go walkabout, but otherwise are perfect snuggle bugs!
Bodie the sweet boulder-sized love muffin!
I used to take care of two of these, sisters. So sweet and loving…….as long as you were part of their pack that is. Absolutely adored them! Gave the best hugs.
I've owned a lot of dogs throughout my life, but my bullmastiff Rosie was my favorite. Her calm and chill approach to life was very endearing.
Love Bull Mastiffs (our current one is a 3 yr old female) the ultimate protective couch potatoes. Never ceases to amaze me how much hair they shed, not sure where it comes from
"You're drooling, I know you want it! YOU'RE DROOLING EVERYWHERE!"
maybe people who own bullmastiffs always have a towel handy to wipe the drool off their faces periodically?
Especially for his first groom, what a good boy!
Bodhi's booty wiggle is just the cutest thing!!! 🥰🥰
Bodhi did an awesome job! He is such a sweet boy, and I'm sure he is a ton of entertainment when at home with his family! He just seems like a goofy boy who would crack ya up! He is such a handsome boy, too! You did a great job! 🐶🐾❤️
Bodhi is a giant sweet love bug. That face in the happy hoodie was funny. Great job Vanessa 🐾💕
A client of mine has one of these and that dog legit thinks I’m there just to pet him. He will also do anything for a treat. They’re such good dogs!
His first professional grooming, whatever an angel ❤
I've heard that the largest bullmastiff who ever lived weighed 340 lbs, straddling the fence between dog and horse.
I had a 200 pound bull mastiff. I scaled down to a 93 pound basset hound after that. They were both good dogs. Now I have a tiny soup bone of a basset at 45 pounds and another 60 pound basset .
P.S. My mastiff drooled like he had rabies.
@@lisabaltzer4190I love basset hounds. My grandma had one and he was the sweetest dog you'd ever meet. _Loved_ children.
Actually, the largest dog, which I believe you are referring to, was an English Mastiff. English Mastiff’s are generally much larger than Bull Mastiffs.
@@wdangelo3You are correct. My bad.
What a gorgeous pony… oops I mean dog 😂. He’s very lovable isn’t he? Excellent job keeping him calm and still getting the job done. ❤❤❤
funny, my 4 year old niece got to ride on m BM's back once. He just waddled along ! She's over 40 now and still wants one. lol
What a beauty. He was gorgeous. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
It is unreal! How well behaved the bigger dogs are when compared to the smaller breeds.
it think there less afraid. After all, they can squish us like a bug. LOL
Look at that goofy face! Such a good boy!
I was having a bad day but when I saw you posted a Bullmastiff (aka my fav breed), it made me happy. 💜
They`re all fierce until the happy hoodie comes on. From fierce guardian to humble babushka in a second.
My mom’s heart dog has always been her old bullmastiff Bogart. Smartest good boy you’d ever seen, and gentle as could be. He hated when his humans argued, and if you raised your voice in an argument he’d stand in the middle and bark until they stopped
Oh my gosh! What a big , huggable, and (it's got to be said) drooly boy lol!!...Watching all the fur being brushed off is like the videos you see of German Shedders !! He looks so handsome post-groom!!
Aww, the giant loaf looks worried! What a drool puddle of love.❤

He's the BIGGEST sweetheart!!! 😊
Bodhi in the hot pink happy hoodie was everything 😍 what a gentle giant!
He a THICC boy!
Imo one of the best guard dogs on earth.
Great handling of this huge dog getting his first professional groom - lots of treats on standby!
One of the few dogs I’ve ever seen that seemed to enjoy a hug, what a sweetheart
The fact that you bathed a beast without flinching!!
Grew up with a bull mastiff and later we had an English mastiff. The bull mastiff, Duchess was a love bug to us and so loyal to my father, but when we had company she'd stand by their car door and guard the house until we called her off. She would sit at my dad's feet. Such a great companion
What a good boy....it helps whern they're food motivated.....great job, thanks...
He's so adorable. Look at his face.
He is a well-loved & cared for pup. Giant dog. And relaxed enough to take treats even when he wasn't exactly sure he was keen on what was happening. The look on his face during his bath when getting scrubbed - ahhhhh. Similar look during some of the grooming too. Great video. Would live to see him again ♡♡♡
He is just a great big drooling cuddle monster. I am sure he feels better after the bath. :)
I think I have a new favorite dog on the channel. I just wanna hug him.
but the drool will get on your clothes.

I believe they can be ferocious and brave but my lord, I want to protect this big baby from the scary water myself. What a cute chonker, his owners must be phenomenal and his genetics and breeding - on point. Lovely to see big giant beast love ❤
He is gorgeous .... Love the shaking and the amount of hair you got out of that coat. He obviously isn't sure of the process but he became resigned to the groom. I think he liked his cuddle... He would live in treats but giving him a treat is like feeding smarties or M n M's to an elephant.... Thank you for letting us see Bodie.. Fabulous

I amazed myself by guessing the breed right off. I couldn't handle that level of drooling either, but Bodhi has a truly sweet temperament. His owner's chose the perfect name for this very mellow spirit!
mine didn't drool that much. Might have been a reason then. LOVELY dogs, just so sweet. And, if needed, they'd forget any danger and PROTECT.
Oh yes the drool and the shedding!! I've got South African mastiffs who shed for England it's year round never stops!! The drool we call biofilm 😂 if you don't wipe it from the walls in time it sets like concrete 😂 love them though ❤

My Bullmastiff was a rescue and the sweetest dog ever!
I had one. I met a BM at a rescue Vet and it looked a bit odd, till I figured out he had a cleft pallet and some other body deformities. The owner rescued him before he was to be euthanized. How glad I was to know this kind owner. And the dog was as sweet as they all are.
I have a friend who has 3 of them and a frenchie. Hers don’t drool thought. She had an old lady bullmastiff that has since passed away, but she was sooo protective of my friends kids. Also of the cats and the ducks they have.
He's a strong, sturdy fellow! (Mr Murphy runs to the TV when he hears your voice. So cute!) I love him in his happy hoodie.
Oh that's so sweet!! ❤️

He seems to be a gentle giant.
One tough lady. You are super brave. We would be scared to bathe and nail clip these types of dogs, especially that are not ours. You have a nerve of steel.
