That’s clearly ATM using cheaper but thicker glass to build that tank. If they promise it will last 20 years I’d take them to court and get that thing taken down before it burst and seriously injures or floods your house

ATM no longer exists. After Wayde and Heather split due to domestic abuse, Brett and Irwin ( her brother and dad) obviously couldn't be associated with the man they all blamed. ATM was shut down and the business was dissolved. Since it was likely an LLC, there's probably nobody to sue.

I knew Chewy before ATM and he is a master builder. When I saw the show for the first time and saw him I knew ATM had an asset. If Chewy had his own shop which he did back in the day those tanks would be quality, just not very big.

Well l think that they are good, they replace the tank, it's like anything that you buy, there is always going to be one thing that might be faulty, you could buy a, car, tv, house, or what ever and it could be faulty, I just think it's the luck of the draw, besides they did manufacture the acrylic panels, they only build tanks, when you buy a $100,000 dollar car and something goes wrong who do you blame, yes the car dealership, not the manufacturer it's never there fault, so think about it, that is all l am saying

on the one hand you are right about the threats, if you review the product without offending and telling the truth with evidence they can't do anything to you with all the money in the world. on the other hand, if the warranty says that it is not covered after 5 years, unfortunately you cannot do anything about it. however you have given a great service by exposing the problem so that others before making a purchase of this magnitude can ponder well

Dude a mistake done by the manufacturer has nothing to do with warrenty if it comes out that they messed something up they are basically forced to do something to prevent it. Imagine you buy a car and people blame you afte causing an accident because the breaks were not done correctly for example and then the brand tells you ''We're sorry but you are out of warrenty and we cannot offer you a repair or a new car''.

Shit happens. Not the manufacturer's fault. Air conditioning, heating, piss-poor alignment, and worse of all...ya use an acrylic tank. Inside walls have a big temperature differential from the inside open area of a home. The company( and no litigation court) would be able to factually know if ya ever dropped the aquarium or yourself caused damage. That's what homeowner insurance is for. It completely covered us & our damaged mahogany floor, when our 150 gallon glass aquarium burst(too much weight on one-end of the tank). If ya got 30K to spend on a tank, that's half-the-problem. 30K? For a fish tank? And the very fine print states the business is not liable for dozens of probable & unlikely reasons the tank may fail.

Think issue is,it's not the tank builders mistake.It could be the manufacturer of the acrylic glass .So in court more than likely ,you need to bring it up to the company that made that faulty glass.Unless they knowingly are buying cheaper glass from overseas.

This is exactly why I only have glass aquariums acrylic is the problem.. you would have the same issues no matter who made it but I still feel bad for you I know those tanks aren't cheap but dam I wish you would of gone with "custom aquariums" they only make glass aquariums and the craftsmanship and quality is like no acrylic aquarium manufacturer could ever provide you plus acrylic tanks have a shelf life while glass tanks last forever literally but still I'm sorry to hear about your tank I would like to know what caused bowing??? Is it a thinner then normal acrylic which made the tank more affordable? I've never heard of bowing in acrylic just busted seams cracks and scratches

Sounds to me like you are looking to get a new one free, after the warranty wore itself out. This was something that took place you say over a 5 year period, but you decided to attack them online in a review, after the warranty was up, and you wanted them to replace it with a new tank. LOL Bud, that doesn't work if it's a fish tank, or a new car. LOL You agreed to purchase knowing what your warranty was. You say that they said the tank could last 20 years. Well, your car has a limited warranty and it could last 20 years, or it could last 10. LOL This is obviously an acrylic issue and you obviously didn't research materials for tanks and what was best and what were issues. I'm going to go out right now and call out the Ford factory. My 1990 conversion van has rust on it, they told me when I bought it that the paint they used helps to prevent rusting. LOLOL Don't think the issue is with them bud, and if you are going to try and cost them customers. They should sue you. You literally stated that you complained after the warranty was up. The work involved with the design, construction, size, delivery, setup and maintenance of a fish tank in many cases justify the costs. They are customised for each individual buyer. And lastly coral and fish are added. To get a tank of that caliber would be worthwhile but costly.
