I think this is very nice to see something from our own Surinamese pilots from the cockpit. Always look at other airlines and now from Surinam airways. proud to see.

Great video! I miss the A340s as most airlines have already retired them. Loved the 2-4-2 seating and the 4 engines! I only got to fly on the stretched -600s but I'm still hoping to catch a ride on a -300 whilst there are still a few around. Keep the great videos coming!✈️✈️✈️

Nice to fly with 4 engines over water! Bet the Captain misses his 747! A new 747-8 would be nicer than a 340!! More room for freight too. Amsterdam is a nice place to visit!! Thanks! ERAU 80 CFIA&I ret.

On the return flight why was the gear kept out for 2mins?

- That's exactly what I want to know 😆 May be to "air out" wheel wells and cool down brakes.

- Perhaps as in most airbus there may have been a fault detected which resulted in a M.E.L. restriction which required the gear to be out for 2 mins, also a minor fuel penalty to be added to the flight plan either on contingency fuel or MEL addition depending on which system generated their flight plan. That my guess

- I put the gear up once while on the ground and it caused a lot of damage. It’s best to leave them down while taxiing. I won’t make that mistake again.
