SEPTIC TANK SUPERBUGS How To Make Them and Save THOUSANDS of Dollars in Pumping & Repairs

Rotten Tomatoes can save you $$$$'s
THIS IS NOT A JOKE! This prevents Clogs and Backups.
Making Your Own Microbials and Enzymes for SEPTIC TANKS and CESSPOOLS will save you thousands of dollars in pumping fees and leach line replacement.
Never flush feminine hygiene products or wipes down your toilet.
Use Standard Scott Tissue, Scott Tissue for RV's or Kirkland Brand tissue from Costco
First you should know that in a perfect world most septic tanks can operate just fine on their own without any additives HOWEVER, we don't live in a perfect world.
I like to err on the side of conservancy and caution and treat my tanks as a preventative measure vs wait and see if it's working fine or WHOA all of a sudden there's a costly issue.
I'm going to show you how to rejuvenate the bugs in your septic tank every 3-4 months after your initial shock treatment, so that your can be like ours was and have the pumping service say; you didn't need to do this, it was working fine...
Septic tanks and cesspools operate on the principal of bacteria that eats or digests the stuff that gets flushed down but there's a caveat here, when you clean your sinks and showers and toilets with chlorine bleach and other bacteria killing chemicals, it's a good practice for cleanliness and hygiene BUT these chemicals also kill the bacteria in your septic tank or cesspool and once that happens, the poop and paper is not getting broken down and removed and your leach lines plug up and that backs up into your septic or cesspool and you start noticing stuff coming up in your tub and toilets.
For me it's easier to know that I'm always putting new bacteria and enzymes in so the back up problem will not occur at my house!
SHOCK TREATMENT
Use this as your initial treatment if you've never done anything to your septic tank or cesspool or if you've just had it pumped out.
This is just to make sure that you've got a plentiful supply of bacteria rolling and digesting in your system and giving it a head start.
In a month you'll add the maintenance treatment which will just add to and amplify the beneficial bacteria in your system.
SHOCK TREATMENT INGREDIENTS
A bucket, a small 2 gallon bucket will do or a large pot.
1/2 c of bread yeast
3 cups of lukewarm water
2 cups of white sugar
2 cups of cornmeal and
3-6 or even more ROTTEN TOMATOES
Grind up the rotten tomatoes in a blender and set it aside
This will provide the enzymes that will amplify the bacteria
Mix the water, cornmeal, sugar and yeast in the bucket and stir it for 2 minutes or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Wait for it to begin to really bubble
Now pour the tomato puree in the bucket of bubbling bacteria and stir it up...
You're going to pour the contents down the toilet that is closet to your septic tank.
Flush the toilet first and wait for it to recharge it's water supply...
Now pour the bucket in as fast as the toilet will handle it without overflowing
You don't need to pour this in every toilet, one toilet is good enough as this is just the delivery funnel to the septic tank.
Pouring this mixture may start the siphon of the toilet but whether it does or doesn't, be sure to flush the toilet at least twice afterward.
Wait 5 minutes and flush it again and repeat this step one more time.
MAINTENANCE RECIPE
Use this every 4 months to maintain the good bacteria in your septic tank or cesspool.
This time we're going to use 1/2 of the yeast as your first shock treatment put in a good start.
ITEMS
A bucket, a small 2 gallon bucket will do or a large pot.
1/4 c of bread yeast
3 cups of lukewarm water
2 cups of white sugar
2 cups of cornmeal and
3 or even more ROTTEN TOMATOES
Follow the mixing and flushing instructions above.
The enzyme group is called: Pectinolytic [pek-ti-nō-lit-ik] enzymes

  • Got a new house, installed bidet device, don't use much toilet paper at all.... maybe 1 roll a year. Hope that will keep my tank from filling with waste that might clog it.

  • Been looking for a homade version of this. Using the off the shelf I always get the "bacteria kind" knew about the enzymes. I rotate sinks, tubs, and toilets, I put a plug in the sink, put the dose in, and a half cup of sugar, and a half cup of corn starch, a few gallons of warm water stir, wait a couple hours and pull the plugs. Drains that were slow when we moved in, and with four long haired women in the house, yeh, it keeps the traps degunked. P.S. thanks, an I subscribed.

  • I'll give it a go. We have a septic tank that was just pumped/inspected a year ago when we bot the house. Prevention is definitely the way to go. I guess I need to plant tomatoes....

  • We had a septic tank when I was very young. I know my dad did stuff to the septic tank but I don’t recall what it was. We never had any issues that I can recall. Then the city “required” all homes get connected to the city. My father, from Texas, was not very happy with that. Of course, it made our taxes go up not to mention the cost. He ended up doing it himself with his friend, but he still wasn’t happy about it and I don’t blame them. PS if you use other toilet tissue, other than Scott toilet tissue, chances, are you have that “itchy feeling”. That other tissue also is a causes for most female yeast infections! Sorry for getting a little personal. I learned the hard way.

  • Thanks Captain, Been using Kirkland and Scotties for some time now and had our tank pumped just last summer. Seems we are ok too. Been tossing our bad tomatoes back into the compost pile, but looks like I will be moving those to the toilet now. Always good to hear your wisdoms. Thanks again and have a wonderful day.

  • Also, even in the nicest Greek homes, the plumbing can't handle any toilet paper, so one must put used tp in the (covered) trash can. I have a bidet, so the tp isn't yukky.

  • Thx. I knew about the bread yeast but that is all. I've done that over the years. You can buy the septic yeast, here, in the grocery and hardware store for a tenth of the price of bread yeast.

    • We’ll that’s amazing and good to know because a 2lb brick of bread yeast is only $7.49 @Costco and that lasts a couple of years. I keep it in the fridge or it dies before we can use it up.

  • Can anyone tell me if this would help eliminate drain flies? I've lived in house 35 years never seen them until a couple weeks ago. I've tried dish detergent, hot water, bleach, vinegar, baking soda they are gone for a few hour's then come right back. I have not treated our septic in years. Help anyone?

    @lydiarose29@lydiarose2913 күн бұрын
    • This probably will not help with drain flies but you most likely have some buildup in your drain that is attracting them.

  • Can you show me how to grow garlic?

    @louiskelemen8867@louiskelemen88675 ай бұрын
    • Growing garlic is very easy... get a garlic bulb from the grocery store. Break it apart into individual sections called cloves. Punch each clove into the ground, pointed side UP and about twice the length of the clove deep. The clove will grow into a new bulb. Harvest in late summer by pulling up the bulb when the tops begin to wither, and let it dry or braid many green tops together into a garlic braid, hang and dry.

      @CaptainWingnut@CaptainWingnut4 ай бұрын
    • Thanks Captain., should I plant the bulb early spring.? Some say I should plant it in the fall.

      @louiskelemen8867@louiskelemen88674 ай бұрын
    • @@louiskelemen8867 You can plant it spring or fall… We plant some beds in October and some in March. The ones in October get a headstart but our March beds aren’t ready in the fall so they get it in the spring. Good Luck
