Have you EVER placed your life in the hands of a group of guys and, gals whom you never met before?? AND, have them entrust theirs with you??? 3.) Have you EVER tasted the SHEER insanity of combat; not knowing whether you're going to live or, not??? There are others along the same vein. But, we don't need to continue any further. When I was in, there were no cell phones, so everyone had cameras that flashes. At night during the LongLine portion of the Drill, everyone would take pictures when our rifles were in the air blinding us. We would catch them simply from the training. Great times and I miss the Corps and the friend I had.

The crew asked passengers to please remain seated while a coffin with someone who died in the armed forces, was removed, put into the hearse, then him & his family we’re driven away 😤😤😤 they took no damn notice! I don’t care who it was my backside would be seated until they had gone. I wouldn’t have been gawping out of the window either. I can’t tell you how angry I was watching it. I really can’t stand trump, but if it was him in the coffin I’d do the same. It’s respect. Have some yourself and show it for others. When someone has passed it’s very likely they will be leaving heartbroken people. I taught in a school with a church about 100 metres away and it was one of the main routes to a cemetery and cremation site. So we’d set off somewhere with children and quite often a funeral would pass. The children would stand still, fall silent and avert their gaze. They didn’t have to be prompted. That’s children from 3 and half to 11. No excuses for adults. Is it because I’m in the uk 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t know

These Marines drill this full time and it shows.

  • I love ALL of my brother and sister Marines. I am a proud Marine who survived Vietnam. Platoon 3101 Parris Island, 1966. I will always be so very proud of the United States Marine Corps! The feeling of being the only Marine in a sea of people at Logan Airport back in those days of the draft really lifted my spirit. Lots of Navy, Army and Airforce personal but only a couple Marines. And little ole me from Aroostook County was one of them.
