In a ceremony which dates back to at least 1837, King Charles III was officially proclaimed monarch at St. James's Palace in London on Saturday after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II. The accession ceremony was followed by the King's declaration and taking of an oath.

  • I've been wanting to see this proclamation, every since it happened! Or after it happened! I think that I couldn't seem to get it to pop up on my phone 🤳📱📲. Don't know if it was on TV 📺, like or taped. If it was broadcasted or taped for TV 📺. I probably would not been able to see it. I live in the United States. I've been in America all my life. I didn't get to see the entire coronation. It was live, here in the United States. As well as many other places around the world 🌏🌍🌏. The time of the coronation for the United States . Well the part of the United States where I live . We are 6 hours behind London, England. And probably most of the United Kingdom. I fell asleep 💤😴, and missed most of the live broadcast of the coronation. I've seen parts of it on KZhead . But not all of it. The only computer 🖥️💻 that I have is a smartphone 📲📱🤳. I hope to get a desktop computer by the end of the year. Maybe during or after Christmas season 🎄🎁. What beautiful ceremonies that they had for the newly crowned King Charles 👑. God bless King Charles lll👑, his entire family, friends, country and all other lands under the king's reign.

    • Sadly and indignantly, I say it should have been Diana who signed those Oaths as Witness after her son, Prince William, apparent heir to the Throne. (Instead, it was a S.O.P. Alley Cat who could not keep her vows to her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles. How is it King Edward VIII had to abdicate the Throne after the British government, the public, and the Church of England condemned his decision to marry the American divorcée Wallis Warfield Simpson, and yet King Charles III is allowed the Throne when united to a divorcée [well-known to be an Alley Cat who destroyed a Royal, under God, virginal marriage])?? British morals have fallen. This is indecent. If it was indecent in King Edward VIII's era, it remains indecent today. The Throne should have gone to Prince William.

  • In reality Charles became king the instant the queens death was announced. The only thing an accession ceremony does is officially change his title from prince to king Charles.

    @Mitjitsu@Mitjitsu11 ай бұрын
    • It is legally rather more than that. The king has to consent to, and sign, oaths in accordance with the Coronation Oaths Act of 1689, the Act of Settlement of 1707 and the Accession Declaration Act of 1910 otherwise Parliament can decide he should not be king. It also declares that the Privy Council, acting on behalf of the nation, is satisfied that the prospective king is the rightful heir, is a faithful Protestant and has taken the necessary oaths and is therefore accepted as the next monarch. The proclamation of the new monarch to the people only occurs when the Privy Council is satisfied.

Even of His own dear Sons who will reign by his side and change the world over and over. Have mercy oh King, when you loose the Son of your youth. Have mercy and let not your angry overtake you. Let your rule be with mercy and compassion. Love your enemy and bless those that curse you. Deliver us from our enemies and let the the love of God abide with you for we are as a broken people in the middle of a war that was not ours. We defended and we struggled valiantly. Then the holy ones spoke and we heard them. We did not hear the holy ones from on high but within the very depths of our hearts and we did hearken. We heard and knew and in that day we knew that King Charles was King. The trumpets sounded and the flags raised and the people sang.
