Just bought me a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited Sport 4cyl Turbo, and I am having a blast. It's a lot of fun to drive and I drive it daily.
Been hearing that the 4cylinder is the better drive train
I was a little skeptical when I got my JLU with 2.0 used with 60k miles. Especially since I had Pentastar previously which was pretty reliable for me and maintenance free. But now, after almost 2 years and 20k miles of owning a Jeep with 2.0, I can say I am very happy with it and glad I got 4 cyl for change
All day every day I drive our 2024 4xe Willy’s I’ve driven it round trip from Portland Oregon to Dallas Texas area and still drives like day one it’s truly amazing vehicle
My friend has had a Jeep wrangler unlimited sport as a daily driver for the past 3 years. She absolutely loves it, no issues, no repairs needed except for regular scheduled maintenance. She also drives a lot, take a lot of road trips. She said it’s very useful for when the weather is bad or she’s caught in snow. She said it handles the road well, it’s quiet (I can attest to this, it’s quieter than my 2014 Toyota Corolla).
uhh my 2014 wrangler is loud as fuck, the newer ones are better in that regard
@@mails5054well, imagine how loud the Corolla is then!!!
good to know
I'm 68' and I daily drive a 24' Wrangler 4DR Sport, 2.0L Turbo auto, that came with a 3.5" lift and 18" Fuel's on 35" Nitto's. So far so good.
Everybody know driving a jeep is not comfi its the feeling like a king on the road 😊
Depends what Jeep... My 98 Grand Cherokee and 90 Grand Wagoneer are super comfy
Strangley enough I think it's comfortable. But I've never had a luxury car. I notice the steering wheel wander the other day
You can drive it daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. I've been driving one for twelve years now.
Any problems with fixing. I want to buy one really soon and I need a little more info. I’m a student so I’ll be using it a lot
@@danielgeorgetheoneandonly Nothing major but alot of minor things related to build quality. Not good on gas either so I wouldn't recommend a student to get a jeep unless you have generous parents.
Have you ever had issues with the “death wobble”?
@@honestmack7022 I've heard of it but havn't experienced it yet. My jeep is a 2013.
I’ve owned a TJ and currently own a JK. Lots of folks daily drive their Jeeps, but they aren’t fuel efficient and they aren’t particularly comfortable riding vehicles. They’re designed to go off road, but most Jeep owners never take them off road. Jeeps are niche vehicles. The allure of a Jeep is their styling as well as their unique capabilities. But most of all they are just fun to drive. They are easy to modify and customize, so it’s relatively easy to create your own unique Jeep and Jeeps hold their value better than any other vehicle I’m familiar with.
I’ve had 3 of them, latest being a JL 4dr Rubicon. They are fine as a daily driver provided you are not looking for absolute road manners and comfort. They’re not built for that but are certainly more than adequate on roads. Where they really shine is shopping mall car parks. Big tyres, steel bumpers and rock sliders make it difficult to hurt them!
I have been Daily driving a 2012 wrangler sahara unlimited for 140,000 miles and still love it. 6 speed manual.
I had a Rubicon Unlimited for 5 years and 40,000 miles. Traded it in for a Grand Cherokee Altitude. Getting 26 mpg highway, full time 4WD with low range, more comfortable seating, quieter, better handling, better ride. I will never go back, since I rarely went off road. Love both vehicles, but Grand Cherokee is much better for on road driving. Best part about Wrangler is they really hold their value - have low depreciation.
The nicest part of driving a Jeep is taking the top off and doors on a beautiful day, something you can't do with a Jeep Cherokee.
Before I got a wrangler, I drove to ambulance often for my job. So when I got my wrangler, it was similar driving experience but with better comforts than an ambulance, so I aint complaining. My wrangler driving experience is like a sports car compared to driving an ambulance.
So we bought our first Jeep earlier this year it came with a 2 1/2 inch left and handle horribly did some research and got the dealership to change out the aluminum steering box to the steel steering box improve steering quite a bit we've than changed the steering stabilizer to a fox one and also added some lower adjustable control arms so that we can add some coaster to the front tires that was the ticket she drives like a dream now
Thanks for the advice! I own a 2014 and like the way it handles on the road. Was thinking of getting a JL, test drove it and literally couldn't drive it. The power steering felt so loose and wobbly, felt like I had no control.
Need to screen shot this comments
I think Wrangers are fine for a daily driver. I used to own one and my only complaint was the gas mileage, which is a non-issue now if you get the 4xe hybrid version. However if you're looking for nice ride for the whole family, you'll probably be better off with a Grand Cherokee and the price on them is similar too.. and a GC will still do fine off road for what 99% of people driving off road will need it for, not everyone goes rock climbing in their jeep :)
My only complaint was the gas milage when my commute from home to work was basically 40-50mins coming and going due to bad traffic & far work commute. Otherwise I was comfortable daily for years. Thanks for the video!
I love mine for daily driving and off-roading from time to time , my 2021 4xe Rubicon
I really want 4xe Rubicon going to see what they do with them price wise I’m a cash buyer
Me too! I like my 2013 Sahara it's just as comfy and cozy as anything else. 😊
Offroader? Front engine, rear wheel drive, great visibility from the cockpit. Tall sports car 😊 seriously jeeps are great for city driving because of visibility. Big golf cart.
My 2012 Jeep Liberty 🗽 is a big box. Somewhat like a golf ⛳️ cart.
I'm on my third Wrangler, 7th Jeep. The Wrangler is easily a daily driver. But you do give up some of the luxury car feel.
WOW! 7th Jeep! Third Wrangler?! You must have some really disposable income! I'd give anything to be on my third Wrangler! I have a Jeep Compass Sport 4X4 and I love it!
I've got a 2022 Gladiator Rocky road overland trail rated build. It's not a terrible daily driver. Gas mileage stinks and it's underpowered for passing on the highway. I thought it would be unstoppable on ice and snow but in all honesty it's too light. I use my wench a lot to get me out of it. My F250 never had an issue, but for everything else the jeep is much better. I have no issues really. Looks cool, functions well, no real issues. It cost a fortune 83K after all said and done, so I think over all I expected a little more. It's definitely not a real truck... it's a jeep and after a year I finally get it. Got a pretty cool build now so I'm liking it more. Not for everyone for sure but still a good vehicle. No problems after a year. Edit. I heard the 392 package. Man, I think that would be a death trap on this frame and suspension.
I put a 3" lift on my Jeep a few years ago...Bilstein shocks and Icon coil springs, unfortunately it drives like a giant cinder block, not a comfortable drive on the streets but great off-road.
Looking at a 2015 Willys. I normally ride my motorcycle when the weather is above 40, but I plan on using the JK mostly for camping and off roading.
Yes I drive mine jku daily. Idk why people said Jeep has bad mpg while mine average of 17-20 mpg!
As a former Jeep owner, I don't think it's a great daily driver. The steering wheel wandering, road noise and horrible MPGs make it less than ideal for everyday use. They are fun but driving a Jeep has to fit your lifestyle especially at the price they go for today. They are way too expensive.
Coming from a Jeep Rubicon owner myself, I totally agree with this comment! 100% - which is why I purchased this as a 2nd (fun) vehicle.
Agreed in many ways but I always have a huge smile on my face when I drive. Granted I work from home so don’t have a daily commute and my wife has an Acura for normal driving. Amazing vehicle but better as a 2nd or 3rd car for sure. Also depends where you live. In Colorado, I get to take my jeep off-roading almost every weekend
@@scott4858 I wish I lived in an area where I could have used my Jeep off-road. Even though I have a two door Bronco, I still miss my 2019 Wrangler Rubicon.
Bring back the XJ in a 3.6.
Its a perfect daily driver.
I have no complaints. If you are getting into a jeep and expecting it or even comparing it to a luxury car then you are looking at the wrong vehicle right off the back. If you are looking for something that is going to have amazing mpg. You are looking at the wrong vehicle unless you are ok with a hybrid electric you are looking at the wrong vehicle. If you want something that is fun gives you lots of options and more accessories then any other vehicle on the market enabling you to really customize it. And you can go any where. I love it and I don’t think I could buy anything else.
On the fence about it for daily use. As I can tell from your video, down here in Texas all highways are concrete and are SUPER loud. Yikes.
I don’t get the complaints ppl have with the handling. The handling literally didn’t bother me at all. Slightly more sensitive than other cars. Not bad at all.
Same.
It really depends on your lifestyle, wants vs needs and your budget. A Wrangler is somewhat unique (along with the Bronco) as its a 4x4 and a convertible that you can also take the doors off and windshield down. So, if you want something that can tackle the off road, handle snow and mud and be a fun toy that is a convertible then the Wrangler (or Bronco) is a good choice. The Wrangler (and Bronco) 2-dr versions are way less practical, ride/drive worse than the 4-dr and cargo space in the 2-dr version is a joke. But, keep this in mind that the resale value on the Wrangler has proven to be way way above average…..so yes, these cost a lot to buy but hold value like crazy
16.9-18.9 is what my Grand Cherokee gets with 3.6
Well, I didn't get a Jeep Wrangler mainly because of it's too-low towing capacity, but still wanted the Top Dog (restricted to the MID-size segment only) "serious/off-road-focused 4x4." Ended up with a 2021 (April) Jeep Gladiator (Rubicon)...and it's also my Daily Driver since it's my one-and-only vehicle (so it HAS to be!) Aside from off-roading (of course), it's been fine in town AND on long interstate road-trips. The MPG numbers aren't good in-town -- I knew that up front (doesn't everyone?) -- but on the hwy they're not at all bad for it being said "serious/off-road-focused 4x4" as they ALL are not great at gas mileage -- not just Jeeps. Especially if there's a headwind. ;-) The OTHER mid-size "serious 4x4" truck I was looking at back then was the 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2...according to the specs it got a tad WORSE MPG than the Gladiator. But the Gladiator is fine and I accept the trade-off MPG-wise over "normal" vehicles. BTW, no play in my Gladiator's steering and no need for an "special attention" driving it at speed on the hwy. Even when towing (but I keep it at 60 when towing for safety). Don't find it loud, either, even with the 33" factory/OEM Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. If it IS noisy, I guess I don't notice it. And the gas V6 Pentastar has PLENTY of power, at least for me...have ZERO interest in anything V8 or even turbo...or those 2 useless "look at me" Vanity Vehicles: Jeep Wrangler 392 or Ford Bronco Raptor. Slow & Steady is fine with me. I'm in no hurry to get anywhere anyway, when on or even off-road (so the "Desert/Baja-Runner" Gladiator Mojave would be useless to me). I just enjoy the drive...which I do, even if I have no good reason at all to take the Gladiator out it's ALWAYS fun driving it. ;-) "Jeep Wave" -- BR
I have a Wrangler and almost never put my foot down to the extent that I'm using all the power. I don't see the need for more. It's not a safe vehicle to drive fast anyway. The V8 does sound amazing...
Nissan frontier or Jeep wrangler?
I climb over curbs and up parking lot landscaping
The dealers or yourself can adjust steering to be tighter and more precise about 15 min fix no biggie !!!
Nice colour
Obviously, you were not very well informed about the wrangler. It is probably one of the best vehicles out there. As far as this drive ability goes it is outstanding they’ve done mass improvements spent millions of dollars on research and development to design a vehicle that is friendly on the highway and off road as a 2021 wrangler owner. Yes I will say, it needed some updates to make it more functional for my purposes. And yes, it occurs a little bit more money to do that however, current production vehicles come with many of those upgrades from the factory.
See, I’d love to get one but I get so many mixed messages about them; All of my friends who own one LOVE them. They don’t go off roading, they use it as a daily driver & they feel safe if they get stuck in bad weather. Every mechanic I have spoken to tells me to stay far away from them & just stick with Toyota/Honda/Mazda, etc.
True…..and all of that technology is expensive……and most Jeep owners never use all of that technology that they paid a lot of money for.,
It’s still not even as good a daily as a civic and I own and adore my wrangler. It’s def much improved and really isn’t bad, but its still basically a truck shaped like a brick lol
just bought my old jk but mines boobie bounce rated and freedom rated but it's still a damn chrysler
Most all the cons that would be hurled at this vehicle would come from those who know very little about the fact that this is a "JEEP" and I like mine. Ya hear me?
My 2016 JKU is a great daily driver, especially when it snows 🌨 😀
Yes, you can daily drive them. I have and will again.
i never understand why people say the cabin is loud lol or the handling is bad....lol i dont think anyone drives QUIET nowadays. its either music or radio on all the time. lol unless youre crazy. most handling problem is driver issue not car. lol
Just bought 2019 rubicon for every day drive! 😬😅
The Jeep Wrangler is the Mx5 for SUVs. If you want a fun, spacious, reliable, not too expensive, comfortable and daily relaxed driving SUV, look no further.
Hey guys I’m stuck in between of A FRONTIER NISSAN TRUCK & JEEP WRANGLER any help GUYS?
I love my Nissan frontier ! I'm wanting a wrangler as 2nd vehicle
☝️😑,,This makes as much sense as buying a used Honda Accord to go off road driving. In theory you could do it, but not very well. You buy the vehicle for the job,, in this case your paying for features you will never use...
E that's some thick glasses
Bro get away from that rattle snake
Wow. Who knew you could daily drive a wrangler?😂
I mean i daily drive a Grand Wagoneer and a 98 GranD Cherokee.. why cant you daily drive a stupid wrangler ?
I drive my everyday
Jeep Wrangler so tough it cracks the windshield.
Sure till it leaves toy stranded.
Two door I SEXIER than a PORSCHE 911 TURBO and the four door is a LIMO, BOTh OUTSTANDING on ANY pavement and can handle the mall shopping for holidays!
All your nonsense is nonsense the Jeep Wrangler is very capable and better than your everyday SUVs for all purposes other car makers need to bring back solid axles and back wheel drive
If you take care of it, it’ll last forever.
