@Fork Off jewgle there was a group of us used to hang around together and some of the lads would be out before us on a Friday night so myself and a friend of mine would always be the last out because we worked evening shifts so eventually around 9.30 we would drop 2 pills before we finished work and we would just be coming up nicely by the time we met the rest of the group 😀. Life is good now but I miss the freedom of those days and the tunes but mostly the freedom .

When I read the reactions from people that are over 40 years old now and enjoyed this music I see a realization that time runs by fast and that most of the things where beter back then and I couldn't agree more. The dj deck the trance back in the day the clubs and the old vibe. It was so much better back then. No geo political problems no smartphones, a crappy desktop with lazy internet connection buying these songs on CD's. I cherish the 90's with al my ❤. Our children don't know how those days really where like. 😢

Early 2000s in the U.K. the likes of gatecrasher republic 1, golden - Sankeys Manchester etc. as you say, no technology. No smartphones etc. no social media. I’ve said this many times. Technology, internet. Smartphones has ruined the clubbing scene. Give me a time machine to have one more dance off in 2002/2003 😁😁

Meeting like minded strangers from all over the world who only wanted to have the best time and dance the day and night away. I can look back at that time knowing it was the time of my life. truth. Used to be, you could pull a smooth, minutes long mix and the dancefloor was riding with you into a high extended over hours. these days, you can feel them slipping away if you don't spice it up / cut it up / add some drops every few minutes. Its a totally different world

Oooof I'm 45yrs old and have been to Ibiza about 8 times, longest stint was 4 years in a row - Last time I went was last year and it was soulless, it had its highlights (Amelie Lens/Amnesia - But mainly was just folk trying too hard and prices even higher than I've ever seen. It's a shame really, when Ibiza was 'Trance' it had a happy, bouncy vibe - Imagine 'Solar Stone - Seven Cities' (17:41) calling out across a packed club at 4am, lasers washing over people... it was magical. People there these days are more concerned with looking like they are having the best experience for Instagram rather than concentrating on the music and vibe and letting the good times happen naturally as a result. Enjoy my friend, I'm sure I'll go back one day, until then we have these tracks and awesome memories. Peace.

@Fork Off jewgle there was a group of us used to hang around together and some of the lads would be out before us on a Friday night so myself and a friend of mine would always be the last out because we worked evening shifts so eventually around 9.30 we would drop 2 pills before we finished work and we would just be coming up nicely by the time we met the rest of the group 😀. Life is good now but I miss the freedom of those days and the tunes but mostly the freedom .

When I read the reactions from people that are over 40 years old now and enjoyed this music I see a realization that time runs by fast and that most of the things where beter back then and I couldn't agree more. The dj deck the trance back in the day the clubs and the old vibe. It was so much better back then. No geo political problems no smartphones, a crappy desktop with lazy internet connection buying these songs on CD's. I cherish the 90's with al my ❤. Our children don't know how those days really where like. 😢
Early 2000s in the U.K. the likes of gatecrasher republic 1, golden - Sankeys Manchester etc. as you say, no technology. No smartphones etc. no social media. I’ve said this many times. Technology, internet. Smartphones has ruined the clubbing scene. Give me a time machine to have one more dance off in 2002/2003 😁😁
100% dude! My 18th birthday weekend Homelands festival Saturday with likes of Carl cox Sasha etc. Back into Glasgow on Sunday night in 'The Arches' for a live BBC radio 1 broadcast with Paul van Dyke Dave Pearce etc. were I officially turned 18 at midnight lol

Brings back memories for me, I sadly never made it to professional level, life got in the way. I do still keep going on my DDJ 400 but it's just not the same as vinyl. Those Technics are just so iconic! This generation have it easy!
Saw similar setups to this partying thru the 90s... loved how some gear, some speakers and some mates and you had a party.. (some e's also helped)

It's so sad that we're no longer the young, carefree, wild souls who would spend every weekend in super clubs and festivals, dancing to these great trance songs, having the time of our lives. Meeting like minded strangers from all over the world who only wanted to have the best time and dance the day and night away. I can look back at that time knowing it was the time of my life. truth. Used to be, you could pull a smooth, minutes long mix and the dancefloor was riding with you into a high extended over hours. these days, you can feel them slipping away if you don't spice it up / cut it up / add some drops every few minutes. Its a totally different world

Me and the wife were in Tenerife in October for a couple of weeks. Staying about a mile walk away from the Veronicas bars. We walked past one night about 10pm, One of the bars was blasting Energy 52 Cafe Del Mar. You should have seen the youngin's jumping about, just like I used to. Cracking set mate, well done. ;-)

Oooof I'm 45yrs old and have been to Ibiza about 8 times, longest stint was 4 years in a row - Last time I went was last year and it was soulless, it had its highlights (Amelie Lens/Amnesia - But mainly was just folk trying too hard and prices even higher than I've ever seen. It's a shame really, when Ibiza was 'Trance' it had a happy, bouncy vibe - Imagine 'Solar Stone - Seven Cities' (17:41) calling out across a packed club at 4am, lasers washing over people... it was magical. People there these days are more concerned with looking like they are having the best experience for Instagram rather than concentrating on the music and vibe and letting the good times happen naturally as a result. Enjoy my friend, I'm sure I'll go back one day, until then we have these tracks and awesome memories. Peace.
